Mitrovic and Cairney return for Fulham as Wilson leads Newcastle attack

Scott Parker has recalled Aleksandar Mitrovic (£5.5m) and Tom Cairney (£5.3m) to the Fulham line-up for their Gameweek 14 trip to Newcastle.

The two players have not started a match together since Gameweek 8 although the Cottagers have improved in their absence, picking up a win and two draws since Gameweek 9.

Bobby De Cordova-Reid (£5.3m) and Ruben Loftus-Cheek (£5.9m) are the men to make way as Ivan Cavaleiro (£5.3m) returns to the flanks of attacking midfield.

Accordingly, Mitrović and Cairney have reclaimed their centre-forward and number 10 roles respectively.

The main Fantasy Premier League interest tonight, of course, is in Callum Wilson (£6.6m), currently owned by 17.4% of managers worldwide.

The former Bournemouth man has averaged six points per game since returning from injury, although Fulham’s defence has improved in that time, conceding just three goals against Manchester City and Liverpool combined.

    Gone full circle on this. I’m not wasting a FH Chip on gw18.

    I have 3fts between now and gw18. Which cheap defenders to bring in between now and gw 18?

            The Fa Cup blank usually only has about 4 games or so and most of the teams are in lower league, so prob not in your FPL side.

              Yeah that's good point.

              Thing is I value FH chip a lot as it kind of salvaged my season last year getting Sterling in and captaining him for his hattrick in a normal GW. So not sure if I want to use it on players from lower teams who'll have a very low ceiling.

      Considering the same moves, definitely the Coufal one. Just need to decide whether Watkins turns into Kane via KDB in gw16, or I go with just Son and bring Adams in for Watkins.

      Ings came off injured, which probably makes Adams more likely to start. You might as well keep him for Fulham then reassess.

    Who are your three forwards for DGW19?

    I have DCL and Bamford set. GW 15, looking to replace Wilson when Newcastle's fixtures turn. Was planning to go with Ings or Adams, but the Ings injury messes things up for me.

    Can't afford Kane/Vardy. Don't trust Chelsea rotation. In 8M bracket, Ings Cavani & Jimenez are all injured so that leaves...Martial? In 6m bracket, nobody seems promising. Adams/Rodrigo/Haller/Watkins/Welbeck/Wood all seem pretty meh. Fulham could be OK for DGW but I can't wait until Decordova-Reid recovers from injury.

    Adams still the best option?

        DGW19 Watkins only has SGW though and that's vs Everton whose defense has been all right lately. If I want Villa coverage, I'd rather just refuse to transfer Grealish out for a DGW mid which is my current plan.

        Agreed. Would love Antonio. Chance of him getting back shafts Haller as well. Wish Giroud was a non-rotating pick.

        Rodrigo + Bamford seems like a risky double up but if Leeds keep scoring 5 per match it could really pay off since the other 6M options aren't likely to do any better - except maybe Adams.

        Good shout! Firmino is the most expensive player I can afford as my third forward. Would need to take a hit for double transfer (Grealish to Soucek) or I will get shafted by a price rise though. Would love to keep Grealish still for the Palace match. Hmm.

      Antonio good option on paper but have doubts he can play both games.

      I’m going to reassess City and maybe move Kdb to Son and upgrade Wilson (was going to be Ings)
      Firmino is a big differential and usually saves his best for December January
