Brentford v Spurs team news: Sessegnon in for Reguilon

The fifth and final Premier League match of the day sees in-form Brentford play host to Tottenham Hotspur.

Kick-off is at 17:30 BST.

Thomas Frank makes four changes from Brentford’s win at Watford in Gameweek 33 and there is a massive task ahead with Kristoffer Ajer, Ethan Pinnock and Christian Norgaard all missing out.

As a result, Mads Bech Sorensen, Mads Roerslev and Mathias Jensen come into the starting XI, while Saman Ghoddos replaces Yoane Wissa further forward.

Christian Eriksen, meanwhile, starts against his former club.

For the visitors, Antonio Conte makes just one change from the side beaten by Brighton and Hove Albion last time out and it arrives at left wing-back, with Ryan Sessegnon coming in for Sergio Reguilon.

GAMEWEEK 34 LINE-UPS

Hopefully 3 x Pool / 3 x Chelsea can turn things around somewhat.

Feels so bad. Sterling getting nothing while playing 90 minutes in a 5-1 win vs a relegation team.
And then 3 points to share for Cancelo and Laport.

Its so simple to frustrate Spurs.

Low block, solid defensive-first tactics and they have no way of breaking you down. Keep it boring with no opportunity to counter and Spurs are impotent.

I don't agree. Arsenal have a marginally better first 11 imo but the replacements are so bad.

Plus the striker position is a big worry. Laca and nketiah not good enough to start

So Arsenal have a better 11, but are the inferior team?

            Makes sense.

How often does a team play with their best 11 week in week out? Also a team is more than just who your best 11 are. Managers also make a big difference

We've had to endure some ridiculously poor team performances despite having a better xi than the opposition. That semi final 2nd leg vs Villarreal still lives in memory.

And now that Tierney is out the teams are openly exploiting the left back area. If Arteta keeps starting Trav and Bowen has a field day it's in him

Where’s Spurs squad depth? Who do they have on the bench to make a difference?

Take either Kane or Son out that side and they will seriously struggle for results.

                Re: Managers

Of course Conte is the better manager. I’m not a big fan of Arteta in fairness. Agree Spurs have a better manager. But if Spurs have the better team AND the better manager, why are we neck and neck for 4th?

                Re: Tavares

He’s raw and a liability in defensive positions, but we’ve just got two of our biggest results of the season with him at left back, contributing a goal in one. He’s not as bad as people make out, just an easy scapegoat for some fans/our manager.

Indeed, though their next games against Leicester who will rotate a lot and then Liverpool/Arsenal, they’ll probably do well.

We need to bring out the Rob Holding low block against them in a couple of weeks.

Unfortunately you’re right, those are the style of fixture they do well in.

Although, can see Pool being far too much for them and Arteta is capable of setting us up to frustrate if we don’t need to win.

    Big 45 mins for sours

If they don't get a win here I expect it will be out of their hands come the NLD...given they have to go to a field first.

Arsenal need to sort that travares mess though. Tierney is a big miss. Can't believe Arteta kept playing traveres over him for a while earlier this season

True, but this ban is a new development. He's been asking for a rise for quite some time now and this issue should've been solved before the ban came along. He's arguably been their best player for the last two years or so. Guess he needs to move on.
