    50th draft. How's it looking?

    Pickford
    Gabriel, Estu, Botman
Salah, Rashford, Saka, Mitoma, Bruno Fernandes
    Joao Pedro, Haland

    Bench: Areola, Bell, Mubamba, Baldock

As you can see I don't like points on my bench.

So if Kane stays we have a small bit of variety at least but which is the best route to start with?

    A) Rashford + Martinelli - 352 + 2m itb
    B) Salah + Eze/Mitoma - 352
    C) Kane + Eze/Mitoma - 343

To be fair he will be playing out from the back far less with us and also playing a lot deeper. Hopefully reduces the amount of mistakes he will make.

Social media and twitter are quick to jump on players and Maguire is a total scapegoat. Doesn't suit Man Utd at all but has had a lot of unfair treatment.

A good start for Hammers so he gets his confidence up and he could turn into an excellent signing. He was a colossus at Leicester and has been pretty good for England too.

Lad he's good at heading I'll give you that if that's what u mean by being a colossus at Leicester and good for England. But u need to be able to play football to be a decent CB in the Premier League these days and he's awful. West ham are getting done, he isn't even worth 5mill.

Think he's decent, especially when playing 3 CBs, and should be a threat from corners. He's still an England international and nowhere near as bad as social media makes him out to be.

        But of perspective.
Grealish plays in the front 3 for the most attacking team in the league and only has 5 goals 10 assists. Rodri is the defensive mid and has 2 goals and 6 assists.
If City get a Rafael Leao, Kvaratshkelia or god forbid a Vinny Jr we're all fcked

I'm on similar. Do you think Garnacho will start? I've got Luiz as enabler and Pedro in a 433.

Threemium makes transfers and bandwagons difficult to follow. But hard to see past Salah Kane Haaland for points!

Post your team. I havent seen too many threemiums. Whilst I expect Garnacho to start I am not overly bothered as i think he is a dangerous player that is liable to score or assist even as a sub. I like him as an FPL asset and think he will see a lot of gametime this season. The problem with Kane, Haaland and Salah is: who do you exclude. They are all guaranteed to deliver points.

      3. Eze Really?

. In this set-up, I think its better to give up Estupiñan or Chilwell, for a 4M pick. Then, upgrade Garnacho for a safer 6-6.5M pick.

Yeah that's probably true. Trying to convince myself to pick Bruno over Saka because just feel Saka is so dull to own :D. I do think Saka is slightly overhyped, but that ownership makes it scary to go without.

A little bit too risky with Timber (though he seems to be ahead of Zinchenko right now) and Pedro (who could be subbed by any number of players) and Jackson Diaby re new to the league. So lots of risk in that squad. But you might be happy with that.

For Newcastle I think only GW 2 against City away is a very tough fixture attacking wise, other than that I think the fixtures are completely fine for their attacking players. Not sure I'm completely sold on Isak as a pick personally but it's not because of the fixtures.

Why all the love for Gabriel?

Saliba is the main man and if Timber and Ben White are both killing it, surely one plays on the right and the other pushes Gabriel out?

Saliba at the same price seems mad to ignore.

        More goal threat allegedly.

          xG last season:
          Gabriel 5.1
          Saliba 0.9

          Per 90:
          Gabriel 0.13
          Saliba 0.03

It's true... even forgetting last season's stats when Saliba was out.

From what I saw at least Gabriel up for corners whilst Saliba and Timber were back on the halfway line.

You'll get more attacking threat for assists from Timber and I'm sure Saliba will get involved occasionally.

And, looking at goals per played minutes and bonus points, it looks different.

I thought of this too. I have my concerns. I think Timber could be the one.

Because of his attacking threat from set pieces. Also I’m not sure he does get pushed out - Arteta likes a left footed CB on the left and he’s the only one they have currently.

Saliba scored 2 in 27 starts last season. Gabriel scored 3 in 38. Interesting of the left footed factor though.

Anyone want to plug the 4.5mil hole in my defence? Got a feeling Everton will be tight under Dyche so Tarkowski was in but that gives me maybe 1 too many with Young and Pickford already in. Cheers!

        Pickford
        Young | Botman | Pau | Beyer | 4.5mil?
        Fernandes | Rashford | Salah | Saka | Barnes
        Haaland | Pedro | Adebayo

I don't see Spurs keeping clean sheets at all and if they're going to a back 4 it'll cut down on the assists, so Udogie is a no go for me but cheers for the reply!

          Hello!

Is Cucurella nailed or Chilwell much much better?

Cucu is far from nailed. Chilwell is worth it.

Is this too risky on the bench?

          Turner. Cash. Gusto. Simms.

          £0 itb.

I'd like Colwell but don't want to go with any other £4m. Baldock at a push or William Osula upfront, but at 20 years old and 5 goals in 30 league and cup games he's pretty green at professional football.

I've probably only got Pedro as an xMins doubt in the first XI but you never know.

Id get Baldock instead of Gusto. At least you get a starting defender with “some” attacking threat. Apart from that, good to go.

You're probably right, rather than waiting for James to give way but both could offer appearance points. Unless Sheffield United can keep it tight at the back?

I suspect they'll go for goal and be found out at this level with the current squad.

Depends on your starting XI. If they're all either nailed or likely to come off the bench each game then you should be good during GWs. The only worry would be reacting to short term injuries to any of your players. You might be forced into transfers that you wouldn't do if your bench was stronger.

Separately, not tempted by Archer over Simms?

I'm somehow going to be tripled up with Villa...

If I go Raya to Marteniz on Friday.

              Along with Cash and Diaby.

I was trying to keep a Watkins slot too.

I'm just parking future value with Simms there.

Makes sense. Martinez looks a good pick. Diaby might turn out to be the best 6.5 mid.

Starting to get a little bit of Salah FOMO, having to fight the urge not to tear up this draft

          Onana
          Estu Stones Gabriel
          Fernandes Mitoma Rashford Saka Eze
          Watkins Haaland

          Areola Chilwell Baldock Mubama 0.5ITB

Maybe start Chilwell over Watkins? Thanks for any input.

I'd play Watkins against Newcastle. He plays well on the counter.

I'm guessing you're mainly backing Man Utd's fixtures with the triple up over Salah. I personally don't fancy the double Man Utd attack, but most seem to like it.

Thanks, it's a lot of money tied up in one player from a team I'm not sure about. The flip side is that assuming I don't make a transfer in GW1 it's fairly easy to pivot to something else (eg Kane up top if he stays). Could go double Arsenal attack instead of double United...

I guess you'd have to do Watkins to Pedro and Bruno to get Salah ...and Chilwell but you'd be short still.

Looks like you've set your stall out.

            They're all good options.

Bruno to Ødegaard is another consideration.

I'd play Watkins too, he likes a goal or two against Newcastle.

Yeah, I think the alternative would be Stones or Chilwell to Cash/Henry/Botman, Bruno to Salah and Watkins to Pedro. Thanks

I think all the attackers are worth a look in, except maybe Son. At 9m I’m less sure, he’s class but aging and may not be suited to Ange ball. He’s the only wait and see for me.

I’m going with Kulu and Maddo FWIW.
