Looking at taking 1 hit, fielding 11 and hoping for KDB/Estu starts. Darwin+Trent/Porro > Solanke+Pau (or another defender like Saliba)?

    Areola
    Gabriel Estupinan*
    KDB* Saka Gross Garnacho
    Haaland Watkins

+ Turner, Trent, Porro, Gusto, Palmer, Darwin

I can get to the following team in G29 with a single hit. Two of those are currently injured - although are expected to be back around GW27. Would you commit to the no-FH 29/WC 30 strategy with below team?

    Areola
    Porro* - Konsa* - Doughty
    Son - Bowen - Maddison
    Watkins - Toney

It does determine my transfer this week though. I'd probably get in Hwang if using FH in 29 rather than Bowen.

    i have 1ft:
    a) darwin to solanke/toney and play taylor
    b) darwin to solanke/toney, jota to hwang/adingara and bench taylor -4

I think it's fine to take a hit for an attacker in a blank GW. Taylor is realistically going to get 1-2 points. Prefer Hwang to Adingra.

For those not free hitting 29, what is a satisfactory number of players you would be contempt with? and hits?

My plan is to be at 8 players, with no hits. 9 with a hit maybe but im really not appealed by anyone i wont be having (except Son, maybe).

(the above is based on the fact that only the Luton game goes ahead)

    1. Tinfoil Deathstar

I'm aiming for 9 with a single hit in GW29 itself.

Haven't even looked that far ahead yet.

I wouldn't get preoccupied by targeting a specific number.

If you can cover most of the key players in that week - two of Son, Maddison, Richarlison, plus Bowen, Toney, Watkins) then you'll be fine, especially if you get the captain pick right.

Same. If no games added I could get to eight for free, including Son.

If Luton is added I’d have Kabore but he’s not playing. If he did get back in the team it would be nine for free.

Might take a hit, will assess in 29

Is anyone else using FH this gameweek?
so many comments about trying to salvage the FH for GW 29...... anyone using a FH have any input for me so I can feel better about my decisions.

Due to a combo of bad planning and injuries I only have

    Walker
    Burn
    Lamptey (wont play)
    Foden
    Watkins
    Harland

Made my first early transfer in ages last night. Jota to Bowen for free. Could have saved but Jota needed fixing and, injuries notwithstanding, 27 looks like it could be an easy time to save. 0.1 could come in handy with my low team value too.

Got 5 players with confirmed 29 fixtures so plan is to add to that before 29 then wildcard after.

    0FT 1.1ITB
    Areola
    Estupinan Cash Reguilon
    KDB Saka Foden Bowen
    Haaland Watkins Solanke

    Dubravka Gordon Robinson Kabore**

Undecided on XI/bench order but seems ok to leave it for now, right?

    Raya

FWD transfer is straightforward. Jota replacement is down to Wolves or Villa replacement. FAC upsets would be ideal to navigating 29.

    - Darwin to Watkins
    - Jota to Bailey (upside)/Luiz (safe) /Hee Chan (-4)

Leave chip strategy open until 27 after FAC results

    1FT 4.0ITB
    Areola

Are you gonna play him in 27/28 though? I have the same front 8 bar Darwin, and I'm assuming Foden will become Son/Salah.

I do like Jota > Hwang(c) and attack the Sheffield United fixture. I know you probably prefer the nailed 29 fixture for Villa but I think Hwang will pay off more than a Villa midfielder in the weeks to come.

I have one move to get ten out this week. Was set on Richy>Garnacho, but having been burnt to the tune of 9 points bringing Foden in for Odegaard this week I'm not so sure now. Planning for DGW28 I could move VvD straight out for Senesi? Won't get much out of this week though but at least I will still have Richy 27/28/29..? Thinking I might play BB in DGW28, as Palmer is at home as my eighth attacker. Or Garnacho if I get him at home too, either way a great eight attacker.

    Areola
    Gabriel Branthwaite Estupinan
    Saka Foden
    Haaland(c) Alvarez Watkins

Turner VvD Doughty Son Richy Palmer

2 FT's what do you think about the below moves?

    A. Jota > Hwang
    B. Darwin > Watkins

    Current Team

    Dubravka
    Gabriel | Branthwaite | Estupinan
    Saka | Palmer | Foden | KDB | Jota
    Haaland | Darwin

    Areola / Solanke / Porro / Konsa

    Thanks

pretty much what i would do with 2FTs, I keep swaying on Hwang/Neto, why did you choose Hwang in the end?

Maybe Garnacho v Fulham? Bear in mind there is an opportunity to play BB in DGW28 if you own Palmer and Garnacho as they are both at home thus very difficult to bench either!

my plan this week was Darwin > Watkins for a FT to then field 11

with the Jota injury should I do Jota > Hwang/Neto/Garnacho instead? if so which one is your pick?

FH looks so tempting this week but I can field 11 with 1FT so it would be silly right? also my team for BGW29 is looking almost non-existent so I think I need to use it there....

You should do Noonan to Solanke.

What's the upside of FH26 vs your non-FH team

Just looked at my transfers since Christmas Day to set up for this DGW period, it doesn't make good reading. Without calculating all the permutations I suspect I've cost myself around 100 points and lost a bench boost over that time. Top 100k to a million basically!

Just gotta keep fighting and hope the end of the season goes well.

definitely dreading that getting players for BGW29 other other targets will not justify not using the free hit at this stage.

Got Saka and Watkins back this week, at least that feels like I can't really go wrong there.

I thinking most of us have been burnt by the DGW mania. My last 6 transfer in are all Pool, or City.

      Taylor to TAA
      Salah to Foden
      Trippier to Walker
      Son to Jota
      Archer to Haaland
      Solanke to Darwin

Even the one that came good this GW cost be 3 blanks since I bought him in.

    Areola
    Gabriel Saliba Estu
    KDB Gordon Gross Jota*
    Haaland Alvarez Darwin*

    Dubravka VVD* Palmer* Guehi*

9 currently playing, but KDB and Estu are 50:50

Worth a wildcard? Or take a -4 and play with 9 or 10?

Play 9/10 I think that will be around the average this week, some less, some more will be split
