Content creators, man. They tweet/vlog about a particular issue so much about 100 times or more that they convince the majority its the only decent move to do. And by deadline, it becomes a template move. I'm not complaining though, selectively going with/against the crowd has helped me climb ranks drastically over the last dozen GWs, mind.

Context being FH34 and BB37 being a popular move right now.

There are no popular moves, lads. Over such a long stretch of time, it's totally team dependent.

People do configure their teams to go with the flow of advice tho.

Look at FH29, on here the so called great and good article and they were virtually as one.

When that happens by definition you're more likely to prosper by going against the grain and considered opinion.

Fabio who makes his own mind up outside of the bubble I thought did play it a v similar way too tbf.

I guess Son and his gw28 score was irresistible.

Yeah, I avoided FH29 and saw no sense in playing it unless people had only 2-3 players. And I'm seeing people looking to WC 30/31, FH34 and BB37. I mean, how can anyone plan for BB37 in WC30 when so much can happen during this time like injuries, teams being on beach and so on. But I guess people will do what they want to do.

Fabio follows an algorithm for basically every single move he makes, very rarely goes against it. He’s not some sort of maverick, just not high profile on twitter etc so looks like he does his own thing

Surely that is the purpose of a content creator? They get their revenue from shouting about their preferred approach.

As you say, its down to people to decide if it suits them. Personally I like the FH34 BB 37 approach and my uncertainty is more around where my WC fits into that.

        Probably gw35 then.

The issue with that is you're only playing 5 fixtures or so out on a wildcard but that might not be an issue.

I think the issue I have is whether it makes sense taking hits now, rather than WC to set team up and possibly take hits later to deal with injuries etc to get a full 15 for BB

i had a look after i read this, as i think this , is the best plan too if i had the FH chip left.

I dont get involved in much twitter talk either, but watch some content, Average FPL, Blackbox, as at least it is more entertaining, and use blackbox for an idea of data, as i just dont look at it. I do actually like Pras as he etnds to at least try and look at all options.

This is the only one i could find, but still doesn't like BB34 without a FH?

        Yep

But this was the strong conclusion...

FPL GW30 Wildcard Scenario – WC30, BB34 and no Free Hit left

We strongly do not recommend this strategy due to:

        X
        Y
        Z

        Read above

Yeah, which is weird, as one strategy for a BB37 involves 5 hits, from a GW34 DGW 10+ Haaland, but doesnt like the DGW34 with 15 players as it takes too many hits to get two 3 Chelsea and 3 Spurs, which you may not want anyway, especially in defence? As if having left over Liverpool and Arsenal for the run is is perhaps a bad thing?

They havent thought it though especially if you get lucky and WC in 32 and dont need transfer for the DGW34 teams, and therefore take less hits to get Man City then Chelsea, then Spurs in that Order (and i would get Newcastle and maybe Man Utd before spurs anyway.

The best thing for me if I do WC35 is the way the games are with two FT, get get more Arsenal/Liverpool at the final GW.

    Areola (Turner)
    Porro, Gabs, Saliba (Trippier, Taylor)
    Son, Saka, Foden, Palmer (Garnachio)
    Haaland, Watkins, Solanke

    1ft, 0.8m itb

    A) Saka/ Trippier -> Salah/ 4.0 Def
    B) Son/ Trippier -> Salah/ Branthwaite
    C) Garnachio/ Watkins/ Trippier -> Salah/ 4.0 Fwd/ Branthwaite
    D) Something else?

I did Foden to Son. Will get Salah next week.

I reckon Foden outscores Watkins this weekend.

I don't normally go in for scores on a one week basis ...

But Watkins is likely 2 or 17!

        Foden 7 or 11.

        Just wild speculation.

Sometimes i just do that, think what do i thik the score will be (didnt work out in FH29 though, as i thought Spurs would at least score and thought Luton V Forest would be more high scoring.

But i still see 1 or 2 CS potentials in GW34 and not in GW37, so I hope Trippier/Pope combo is back by then

WC and FH available. -4 for Bowen & Maddison to Palmer and Salah for this:

    Pickford
    Pau, Gusto, Porro
    Salah, Saka, Son, Palmer, Foden
    Toney, Watkins

    Areola, Morris, Gabriel, Doughty

Feel like I could hold off WC with that team, but if I don't WC, I will probably struggle to get Haaland back (another hit minimum in 31) in place for Watkins plus with Toney, the Luton dross and Pau all prime to move on it feels like WC makes sense. Was thinking to WC now, FH34 and BB37 but because some chumps on the Twitter have posted it, it now sounds like it doesn't make the sense it made when the GW34 fixtures were announced?

          Go for it

Doing something different is great unless you are looking to hold onto mini league positions or are top 1,000.

          Actually...

Then you have to do something different to win it.

But a hit for Morris and Toney for Cunha Darwin maybe worth it?

Yes I have this team Biggsy, and am thinking is Haaland worth it?

But then i keep thinking he is more nailed than Foden, but Foden has been more on it recently (thinking of Real Madrid/Luton/Real Madrid) then i have Bournemouth plus, Moreno/Estu/Doherty dross,

      5.7ITB 0FT
      Neto (Turner)
      Gabriel Moreno Gusto (Estu, Doherty)
      Saka Palmer Foden Son Salah(c)
      Solanke Watkins (Semenyo)

Mind you if Darwin get a YC this weekend,,Watkins to Haaland maybe inevitable lol.

This is if, I do WC, i will wait a week (for GW31) when we should have more news on all teams.

I dont see much rotation up until GW32 after the IB for most sides

I definitely wont WC this week, I dont think you need to either.

Worth noting, there is only 48 hours between GW30 and 31 - and for 31 we won't get some pressers pre-deadline (e.g. Liverpool) - I kinda feel you either go 30 or hold a bit longer than 31

no worries, there is a small change, but i doubt it, that i would WC GW32 if injuries went bad for the BB37 WC35 idea, as it can still give you free transfer instead of hits, for a complete 34 BB team, (especially if say Haaland got injured), because I am not sure how many DGW are actually "worth it before GW36 anyway", but I will have to play around.

Really tempted to just swerve Haaland and hold WC. Can always reassess if I get FOMO or injuries require it and, as you say, drop the WC when needed - could save for 32 or 33 and the BB34 if needs be. Keeps options open

Ideal back 5 for a BB in 37?

Tough, as very few who have 2x Good fixtures from a defensive perspective. Working on the basis that you'd want to target a minimum of 1 high CS potential, that would rule out Dalot for me. Gusto good if its NOT and BHA but both capably of scoring vs CHE at home. Trippier maybe, but largely because of the SHU and bur fixtures before as well.

I would add Ake/Akanji/Gvardiol as options to consider but will need to see what the state of play is closer to 37.

Lascelles/Burn/Hall/Livramento might be cheaper options but need to wait to 37

On that basis I'd be looking at BB34.

Other than Gusto and Udogie it's not that compelling...

And Chelsea and Spurs are allergic to clean sheets.

I think both is definitely fine. I wildcarded with a similar team, but I didn't have Konsa, Bradley and Leno which I like for 30.

WC30 and 31 looks very similar, and doing it in 30 gets another transfer later which can be used to navigate injuries and DGW's which pushed me to do it. And getting Salah again Brighton as basically a differential is pretty sick. Palmer is only in 35% of teams now also.

Considering keeping Watkins on WC for 30 and going Watkins to Haaland in 31 though, to get the Wolves fixture.

WC, FH and BB available. I’m going to get Salah for free this gw and Haaland next gw. I’ll decide in gw32 what way to play the rest.

Good advice, even for those without a FH.

YOu could set up a perfect BB34 team in GW32 save 2 FT for after GW34 and take a couple of hits afterwards

Gabriel, Doughty Taylor, Ake and Trippier defence - should I WC? All basically injured or rubbish

    On WC30, FH34, BB37:

    A) Richarlison + Muniz
    B) Garnacho + Isak

My thinking is A here, as the main appeal of B is games from 35 and onward and I can use transfers for United and Newcastle players. Would love thoughts and reasoning.

A for the reasons you mentioned. LUT NFO and two doubles for Spurs makes me want to go for Rich. Extra pt for a goal over Isak. Although tempted by Semenyo over Muniz as his GW37 fixture (may be only time I start him) is much better

      A.

Though I have Isak Haaland Muniz as my front 3.

Will do Saka to Garnacho in GW33.

Only issue with Richi is if he is fit to start GW30

Will Gusto rise in price twice in two gameweeks?

All depends on his points return in 30 for the 2nd GW

Trent Alexander-Arnold is aiming to be ready for the Manchester Utd game on April 7th.

Diogo Jota could also be back then.

With Walker and Stones both injured, how will City defence line up?

      Take your pick...

      LB - Gvardiol, Ake
      LCB - Ake, Akanji, Dias
      RCB - Dias, Akanji
      RB - Akanji, Lewis

Actually that list might be narrowed down depending on Akanji's knock

    Neto
    Gabriel | Gusto | Porro
    Salah | Son | Saka | Palmer
    Toney | Watkins | Morris

Just Reguilon => Gusto as FT to have this XI and keep WC for 31?

    HELP!!!!

Team is a bit of a mess… no Salah, no Son, no money ITB, and no FH…

    Dubravka
    VVD Porro Gabriel
    Palmer(C) Richarlison Saka Foden
    Haaland Watkins Solanke

    Areola; Bowen Walker Doughty

    What do I do?

    A - WC
B - Take a -8 to get one of Salah or Son in
C - Make one transfer to free up some cash for future transfers and pray that Salah and Son do nothing

Its a good team. I am not sure Son is so much more essential if Richarlison starts and Son is on the left, but he is on Pens.
Watkins to 4.5 and Bowen upto Salah next week is fine, if you can do that?
