Havertz pushed VdV in the back with both hands. How is that not a foul?

Barely leaned on him let's be realistic, I mean if we're going to call that a foul then there's no point in having this be a contact sport any more

Then why did Chelsea’s goal get disallowed?

Because that was a pure shove in the back, Carlos was standing directly under where the ball was dropping until Badiashile touched him

Carlos was literally backing into Badiashile

Yes and players can do that like Badishile can do back to him. Stepping back to then shove a player in the back is different

the inconsistences, with VAR, is ruining it for me. without VAR you accept things can get missed in real time. with VAR its a joke

      1. Vinyl78LP
        • 14 Years
        29 days, 21 hours ago

So if Var gets one wrong last week they have to get it wrong again (so we can have "consistency") ?

        1. F4L
          • 9 Years
          29 days, 21 hours ago

VAR shouldn't be getting it wrong. there's the dynamic of refs all being mates not wanting to call out errors/home crowds getting to the officials (still)/refs all having different interpretations of what constitutes an offence (handballs etc). this should all be eliminated with VAR, and it hasn't been.

and goddamn watching commentators complain about it taking too long to come to decisions and then complaining about wrong decisions is so boring and hypocritical, just do it for the views/to be popular. its shite for the fans but some decisions take time. VAR in its current shape needs ditching, needs major reform

      2. Lingard’s Shin Guards
        • 5 Years
        29 days, 21 hours ago

without var people didn't accept that things got missed, that's why it was introduced...

        1. F4L
          • 9 Years
          29 days, 21 hours ago

maybe im wrong but they did though to an extent. No many look back on cups/titles won and put asterisks next to all of them for dodgy decisions in favour of the winning side. the technology VAR uses isn't new, could've been introduced a decade plus ago. There really wasn't that much of a demand or need for it

      3. boc610
        • 12 Years
        29 days, 21 hours ago

its wrecked this season, its by far and away the thing that will be remembered most about it. VAR could have been the best thing to happen to the league but unfortuntely the people in control of it at stocley park seem like they are winging it every game. even the incident yesterday with areola was laughable. they havent a clue.

Fair enough for howlers, but far too much bleating about 50/50 calls for my liking and always blaming VAR depending which way that borderline call goes.
