Why it’s hard to trust Arsenal assets in 2019/20

Despite finishing as the top-scoring forward in 2018/19, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (£11.0m) is not expected to be a popular choice at the start of this new campaign.

In this first article of the Numbers Game series, we take a deep dive into virtually every statistic recorded by Arsenal in their first year under Unai Emery to assess their potential for 2019/20.

We will be producing one of these for each FPL side that competed in the Premier League last season between now and Gameweek 1.

As this uses data from the Fantasy Football Scout Members area, only those signed up for 2019/20 can view the article.

If Eriksen stays, surely he'd be a great option for 9.0 right?

He could benefit massively from an extended summer.

Exactly. Eriksen, Alli and Son may be boosted (in terms of FPL) by that signing

Definitely. I know there's 'no such thing' but he'll be my sort-of-ish cover for kane

Siggy Erik KDB Bilva all of similar points per game ilk.
After last year at a few points less overall I see top defenders being better value for the first 10 games. I am looking for:
Gray Perreyra Madison Perez Willian (Sanchez if not sulking) (Zaha after future sorted) (Pedro a mate of the manager)
Better value IMO if we find them early.
None of the 8 to 9.5 mil players would you captain so I think they may not give you value.
Sterling Salah Auba Kane Kun will be captains unless a Pool defender against "say Bournemouth Soton and relegation fodder"

Eriksen has proven to be a great captaincy option over the last few seasons. Plenty of 15+ points hauls in predictable easy home games.

Would you ever captain him over Salah Mane Kun Auba realistically?

Another shameless RMT. Hey, you know y'all love it.

    Any thoughts?

      Don't like it personally.

Adams unproven, a definite wait and see

Taylor and targett should be bench players.

I'm no FPL expert but for me it is very risky team. Yarmolenko hasn't playeda game since his dreadful injury has he? This Adams is also still unproven in PL. And I don't know who is Taylor because there is so many of them 😀

    Lloris

          Ederson
          Robbo/TAA/VVD Laporte, Digne
          Sterling, Siggy, Fraser (Kante, Donkey)
          Vardy, King (4.5)

            Robbo Vvd Laporte Digne
            Sterling Salah Brooks 6m*
            Vardy King

Don’t you think each team needs a 7-8m 3rd midfielder? In my opinion some very strong options will emerge in that price bracket possibly from Leicester, Chelsea, Everton, West Ham (elsewhere?) and I would personally prefer being able to switch between without a hit

Not really, just ditch KDB to 4.5 for rotating 11th player and upgrade DCL to Kane/Auba. or downgrade Sterling to Zaha/Siggy/Fraser etc and use the money in attack.
        2 transfers tops

Nice team, I would switch Pickford for Kepa or LLoris as season keepers, EVE has nice opening fixtures but not sure if I would keep him long term, if you want Everton double up I would downgrade Laporte to Walker and put in Coleman over Ake

Anyone considering Eriksen or Alli for the first GWs, given Spurs’ new signing?

Did this draft and seemed good:

    Ryan
    Coleman, TAA, VVD, Walker
    Eriksen, Siggy, Salah, KDB
    King, Wilson

    Seems strong to start?

Imho Ward-Prowse can be great option. I guess it was under Hassenhuttl in Ingolstadt that Gross had a breakthrough season. Imho they are quite similiar players.

    First Draft,

    Ederson - (4.0 fodder)
    Van Dijk - Robbo - Dunk - El Mo - (4.0 fodder)
Mane - KDB - Siggy - El Ghazi - Yarm
    Vardy - Jimmy - King

Any thoughts? Robbo to Digne would leave an extra 1.0m to spend elsewhere. Not too sure about the midfield, seems weak

I really like Digne and accept he most likely will score more than Coleman but wondering just how much higher of a points ceiling does he really have over Coleman. More than say, Fabianski over Ryan?

Personally thinking Coleman + Fab may a better combo than say the very popular Digne + Ryan.

Could even doo Coleman + Leno for NEW and maybe BUR then switch Leno to fab for his run.

I think Leno (5m) offers good value for cheap goalkeepers, also he is the sixth last season for saves.
