Recapping the best Aston Villa players ahead of FPL restart

With the Premier League set for a return to action next month, we are running refresher articles to help you get back into the Fantasy groove.

Between now and the June 17 restart, we will be recapping which players went into the suspension in the best form, looking at each club’s last six matches.

During the past few weeks, we have been analysing the recent impact of new managers at Premier League clubs, so this series will cover the other 15 sides in the division, starting with Aston Villa, who could have either an immediate Blank or Double Gameweek as they face Sheffield United next month.

Obviously, a lot has changed since the climax of Gameweek 29, with Premier League players unable to fully train with their team-mates for the best part of two months.

However, it should still serve to know who was performing best before the break.

As this article uses data from the Fantasy Football Scout Members Area, only those signed up to a valid package can access it in full.

First attempt at a team for the DGW Return (assuming fixtures kept the same). Using a Free Hit.

    Henderson
    Laporte, Egan, TAA
    KDB. Grealish, Salah, Mane
    Auba Aguero, Jimenez

    Subs: Button, Simpson, Kilman, Guendouzi

    What do you think?

Is it for certain a double game week ?
If it is that’s well assembled teAm
Monitoring training to see if aguero will play .
I’d fancy only the keeper and rodri / Laporte to start both games
A good thing to look at is these five subs . Certainly aguero would impact even if named one the bench
FODEN is a cheap thought if they decide he plays in one game (and features) I think he’s 5m 5.5 ?!
      I’d put Saka in
I own and he has a good assist potential even from defence .
I think you can drop one Liverpool if they are away to Everton if you need the money .
I didn’t think of a free hit til now might be the best time , who knows if and what doubles we get ?!

Great team if you can afford it! That's well over my budget. I can afford a FH team like this:

      Henderson
      Laporte Alonso Lund Baldock
      KDB Bruno Pepe Grealish
      Auba Aguero

      Subs: Button Saka Hanley Connolly
      1.9 ITB

I could use the money ITB to do TAA (eve) instead of Laporte (ARS+BUR) or Alonso (avl), but given the fixtures, feel like there's more chance of a big haul from Laporte or Alonso.

It’s going to be really interesting to see how the teams deal with this packed fixture schedule, on top of the inevitable fatigue and fitness concerns having not played for 2 months.

I think we have to build our squads with players who have something to play for, and with smaller squads...with talisman players like Grealish and Pukki.

This pretty much rules out City players for me....although IF the CL resumes in August I assume they’ll want look at building towards full fitness for that.

I'm planning a WC team and despite their potential DGW, it currently has no City players. If it is a DGW, I'll probably have one City mid then transfer him to Bruno.

I agree with you absolutely. City have nothing left to play for league wise, and the introduction of 5 subs + Pep roulette makes them a no go IMO.

I'm trying to stick to talismen from teams with something to play for - currently have Bruno Grealish Jimenez nailed on. Kane vs Son, Pogba vs Rashford etc to be decided.

I’d probably go with KDB but I really that’d be it from City.

Grealish, Jiminez, Bruno, Rashford, maybe Maguire, Alonso....Mount maybe, probably a SHU defender...not sure who else yet.

        Same here something like:

        Leno 3.9
        AWB Boly VVD Baldock Egan
        Bruno KDB Fleck Grealish Mahrez
        Kun Jimenez DCL

...with cash in the bank. Kun leaves room to go to Kane/Auba where Mahrez can go to Martial/Son etc. Jimmy, Bruno and Jack season keepers. Back 5 as nailed as I can get.

        7-8 DGWers seems enough.

If we’re only getting one DGW (not sure if that’s the case, just trying to guess like everyone else) then I’ll be using my FH to get a full 11 of them....although I realise it’s highly unlikely that any City player will start the first two games back in four days.

Pep will want to give Laporte as much game time as possible after missing so much. He's 100% fit but needs pitch time so he's an exception imo

Possibly. The concern is that will any of these games be played at any more than pre-season standard?
With the exception of the relegation threatened and CL chasers.

Yeah, it's a completely unprecedented period for managing an FPL team. We just can't know with any certainty how managers will be planning to go into it, how certain players will react to the conditions, how fit and up for it they'll be. I imagine there will be teams that bare little resemblance to how they lined up in March with squad players and youth players getting minutes. Might be some teams who are looking at PL fixtures as games to get done rather than compete at full-tilt.

      1. HamezMace
        • 9 Years
        3 years, 10 months ago

        Absolutely.
And you’ve nailed it with that last sentence, I can’t imagine two mid table teams, Palace v Burnley for example, treating these games as anything more than a preseason match, especially with no crowd. Could go either way though, dull 0-0, or a mental 5-4.

Like I say, I think the safest option is to go with players still fighting relegation, and chasing top 4. I’m not even sure what I’ll do with Liverpool players, they might be chasing a record points hail though I suppose, and no cup or CL to think about either.

I’d say Liverpool will want to come out of the blocks all guns blazing

They’ll want to get the league mathematically wrapped up ASAP in case of another corona driven cancellation

I’d expect them to be (trying at least) to blow teams away for the first 2,3,4 games, however long it takes them to get it sealed

Yeah I’m torn between actually trying to work out who has good fixtures, based on teams with something to play for, and forgetting about home/away, and just saying screw it, literally no way to predict anything now.

It now looks likely that what was GW32 (not GW31) will clash with the FA Cup Quarter finals, if that's the case there will only be three PL fixtures that weekend.

    Aston Villa v Wolves
    Palace v Burnley
    Watford v Southampton

So it would be a very poor blank GW, if the fixtured postponed because of the FA Cup QFs (including City v Pool) aren't moved to later that GW.

Yeah you'd imagine they'd just stick them in the midweek immediately after. 5 midweeks, 3 that will have a full round of PL games and 2 for teams to catchup after FA Cup games.

      June 17 - PL catchup
      June 20 - PL
      June 23 - PL midweek
      June 27 - PL & FA Cup
      June 30 - PL catchup
      July 4 - PL
      July 7 - PL midweek
      July 11 - PL
      July 14 - PL midweek
      July 18 - PL & FA Cup
      July 21 - PL catchup
July 25 - PL final day

      https://twitter.com/DaleJohnsonESPN/status/1266335177397227520?s=20

Or we could wait for the fixture list, but that's far less fun 😉

    A good read.

We’ve been at our best this season with Grealish, Hourihane and Targett working the left in a 4-3-3, so fitness depending, I’d expect to see a midfield trio of McGinn and Hourihane in front of Nakamba against Sheffield United.

McGinn is hugely influential and will make us look like a different team, that’s for sure. With him in the eleven stats tell us we score more and concede less. It’s worth noting he hasn’t played for almost six months, but at just £5.4m, he could be worth it if you can’t reach Grealish.

Hourihane has been in and out of the team, but adds balance, and offers goal threat and delivery from set-pieces, which could be vital for us with Grealish winning so many free-kicks.

Nakamba is probably our best holding option. I’m not quite sold on Douglas Luiz yet. He has potential but can’t tackle and I’m still not sure what his best qualities are.

Another option we could see is Grealish moving back into central midfield, as he did last season in the Championship and the early part of this campaign. This would blunt his appeal a little and would most likely see El Ghazi and Trezeguet on the wings, but both are inconsistent which makes me think this won’t happen, at least from the off.

Defensively we’ve been a shambles, too many individual errors, I just hope we settle on a partner for Mings (Engels or Konsa) and stick with it. Heaton could possibly come back in too, if we can sort out his registration.

Only two of the remaining 92 PL fixtures have a provisional date at the moment, the rest of the fixtures on that spreadsheet are no more than educated speculation. Time will tell, but if does happen I will be using FH in what is listed as GW30 (but would be probably be GW39), but form a FH perspective I'd prefer the first two fixtures to be in a separate GW which I would use that chip in.

"The game in which Liverpool could secure the Premier League title could be held at a neutral venue, says the national lead for football policing.

Deputy Chief Constable Mark Roberts says up to six matches could be moved at the request of local police forces.

They include the Merseyside derby as well as Manchester City v Liverpool.

Roberts said discussions with the Premier League had been "positive" with a "shared focus on the priority of public health".

The Premier League is set to restart on 17 June, subject to government approval.

The fixtures set to be moved to neutral venues are:

Manchester City v LiverpoolManchester City v NewcastleManchester United v Sheffield UnitedNewcastle v LiverpoolEverton v LiverpoolThe game in which Liverpool could secure the title

"We have reached a consensus that balances the needs of football, while also minimising the demand on policing," said Roberts"

This ruins the integrity of the league imo and FPL along with it

Football fans always given a bad name despite relatively low offences in comparison to others.

If managers and players tell fans to stay home, they'll stay home. Moving games to neutral venues doesn't change much, clubs are supported from places around the country.

Maybe the police should focus on beaches and government ministers as opposed to football fans.

I don't think Liverpool will mind this. They just need to get the thing wrapped up quickly wherever that is. They will have a time and place to properly celebrate as a city later in the year I'm sure.

It is a valid point re integrity. There is maybe a slight home advantage based on familiarity with the surroundings. Villa for example will still want those 6 games at Villa Park as they are really not good away from there.

There is only one question on everyone's lips right now .... should we or should we not be given a free wildcard or unlimited transfers (like you get before gameweek 1) when the season resumes?

As long as those who still have a WC intact (I don't) get to hold it beyond the first deadline, that should be fair.

Personally I don't see why. The game needs to continue as 'normally' as possible to maintain integrity.

      Here's what I think.

If you have already used your second wildcard, you have enjoyed the full benefit of unlimited transfers and a completely revamped team.

If you haven't used your second wildcard, then your team never got to enjoy this massive benefit.

It's really unfair for people who have already used their second wildcard to get a third because - and this is the crucial point - one wildcard is more than enough to navigate 9 gameweeks.

I don't need 2 wildcards to get through 9 gameweeks. What is a much bigger advantage for me is to have a wildcard when other people who used theirs haven't.

I agree to an extent. But that extra wildcard would make a decent FH towards the end of the season. Or it can set up a BB/TC based on a good fixtures week.

Yes, if the fixtures for the expected GW30 are the ones we get in the new first game week. Take a free hit if you need to but I presume the Wildcard was made with the rest of the season in mind.

What about a full pre season of info that completely changes the picture. Injuries, sicknesses, form. It's not just fixtures. What if half my wildcard team has covid at the start of the re opening.

What benefit have u gained from my wildcard?

It is unfair to let everyone have another free Wild Card as it means the players who haven't used their 2nd one are heavily disadvantaged. They were probably saving it in order to try and catchup on minileague leaders and I agree with GARY AND JAMIE and FPL VIRGIN.

It is unfair both ways mate. There is no fair way to do this. Wildcard holders claiming it is fair to have used your wildcard and have the game stop for three months and the rules change and the possibility of key players out due to covid and fixture changes (not in order but proximity which is important info) are simply refusing to face the truth that they have just unfairly gained massively. But I am ok with that. Because life is unfair. Just dont bring fairness into this. You have a wildcard. We dont. It's not fair. We must suck it up. Your lack of awareness as a group astounds me

It's fair because you've used your wildcard and gained an advantage from using it already.

I used it in gw 29. 1 week before the game closed and the rules changed. So essentially got 1 week out of my wildcard. That week didn't even complete its fixture list. Yes it affected triple captain people as well. Yes I also think that is unfair for them but so what. It happened. Dont call it fair. That's just wrong.

And nothing has changed from that point of view because you used the Wild Card on the basis of the fixtures that were going to happen and they've said the fixtures are going to be played in the same order.

It was also silly to keep playing sport or have a baby, or get married or try to emigrate. Oh wait all those things kept happening as well around the world. I guess you were one of the few really intelligent people who deliberately held your wildcard because you foresaw this situation. Me playing an aggressive early wildcard for the first time in 4 years was just silly and had nothing to do with my poor rank and strategic decision to do something different to those in front of me so that I may have a chance of going higher. How silly of me. Rather I should have consulted you who knows nothing about my context or strategy and yet judges me loosely with no info to protect a really weak argumentative position.

I got rid of Auba but kept KDB. To be honest, with Pep roulette, and a pandemic thrown into the mix, is there even much point second guessing who he'll field? Auba will go in the next transfer window so that'll either be extra motivation or he won't GAF.

Not sure why they would've done that. City, Arsenal, Sheffield United and Aston Villa have a game more than the other teams. I brought in players from those teams with my free transfers.

There should not be a free wildcard.

Everyone is in the same situation so no one is disadvantaged and the fixtures are proposed to be played in the same order as they were originally.

If you played your WC you got the benefit of it. If you haven't played your WC you can get the benefit of it over the remaining fixtures.

The only thing they should be considering is if the Arsenal, Man City, Sheff Utd, Villa games are treated as one SGW then perhaps everyone should get an extra free hit that can be played only on that SGW (cannot be saved - use it or lose it).

I think the fairest way is to revert teams to what they were prior to FT being available. And no option of a free WC.

Basically continuing from where we left off.

I dont want 9 free transfers 2 months before the game starts. I want a wildcard to make the most of the information we are getting in the pre season leading up to the game reopening.

My gw 29 wildcard has no benefit to me in these conditions.

Apologies. I misunderstood your answer. They shouldn't get an extra wildcard. I still have mine and FH and TC. Throwing in another will confuse me! I didn't make any transfers cos I didn't see the sense of it when fixtures, player fitness, availability was so uncertain.

Because they thought the season was over and had other priorities in life than what looked like a dead FPL season.

I'm not hugely bothered either way

But can totally see the possible case/s & reason/s they might choose to go there

All it takes is a “Salah, Bruno, TAA & Jimenez in self-isolation with positive Covid19 tests” headline on the eve of GW39 (If indeed there is to be a GW39) to render even the most proactive of slow Wildcards redundant

A free WC *kind of* helps folks deal with that type of thing before the restart - but no idea where FPL’s heads are at with regards all this - just want to make sure they start the game back up again

The schedule and circumstances have completely changed.

There is no argument that people deserve doubly rewarding or punishing for their previous strategy.

There should be an extra wildcard as a result. People who kept theirs still get an extra advantage, But those who used it before this massive change are not completely out of the game.

When most of us wildcard, we take into account injured players, form players, fixture swings, chip planning and so on.

Given the uncertainty surrounding the restart and how the game would develop, I don't think you can regard the recent free transfers as a 'slow wildcard'.

Having a WC now won't help anyone with knowing the form players, we still have to base it on the final 9 fixtures left, especially if the order doesn't change.

Also serious players on the whole only use the wildcards for the DGW's towards the end of the season. Why should we reward casuals? 😀

Ok. Pretend next fol season they change the rules. We all have to pick a team the day the game opens and we are not allowed to make any transfers until the season kicks off. Then a certain percentage of managers are suddenly allowed to make changes before gw 1 using the info they gained in the preceding two months. Do you think that 'wildcard' would benefit them?

Just logged in to the FPL site, clicked on transters. It's allowing to pick 15 players at current budget, like in the beginning of the season. Is this just a glitch/what happens at the end of the last (planned) GW?

They should just restore the database to last GW we had games and then continue to complete the 38 games weeks.

Give everyone a WC to get them involved again.

      That would seem fairest.

This is a tough one after such a long break but I think I am leaning towards the view that there should be no free wildcard for all. The season will in the most part pick up where it left off, plus managers have been able to make free transfers throughout the blanks (slow wildcard). I can see why those who played their wildcard more recently might feel like they suffered but overall not a lot will have changed in terms of player choice. A few might be back from injury but nothing worthy of a clean start for all.

If the fixtures have changed then yes, as a wildcard played prior to the shutdown would be almost completely wasted. If no fixture change and it continues within 1-3 weeks of where it left off then no wildcard needed- this is pretty much where everyone is landing right?

In any case those that kept should get two, still enough time to make big gains from having two

Saying people could have done a slow one, yeah sure people could have made transfers but with what in mind? Because it certainly can't have been fixtures+ Ignores all the casuals that won't have looked at their team and I don't think fpl would do that

            Let me count the ways.

            1. I would choose 5 CBS's. Currently have none.

            2. I would choose talisman like grealish, Fernandes etc. Currently have none.

            3. I would have a deeper bench that fits the new circumstances of more substitutions and games squashed together. My current bench is suitable for maximal first eleven value which is a plausible strategy in normal circumstances.

            4. There will be pre season games and I do my best work in that environment. I once had a gw1 score of 106 without playing a chip. Was ranked 2000 with nearly everyone above me using chips. I am good at pre season scouting. I cant do anything about this pre season with my team locked in.

So a wildcard would be pretty useless right?

          2. @persecuted_by_mods
              3 years, 10 months ago

Well that's my point isn't it, IF fixtures haven't changed then no wildcard. I can't see how you missed that?

                    But I'll answer anyway

                    1) no idea where this CB love has come from, just guesswork that they're more nailed and will score more, nobody knows this yet

                    2) why didn't you do this before? They've been talismans from the start

                    3) good point hadn't considered that, nonetheless people will argue you chose planned to not have a strong bench

                    4) I don't get it, what pre season games?

1.Full backs are historically rotated more. We have never had such a congested fixture programme. Please by all means choose 5 attacking full backs.

                      2. I brought in Fernandes off the bat but because I am having a bad season I chose an aggressive early wildcard which I have never done in the hope to maximize city and arsenal dgw. It didn't work out but I dont think the thinking was bad. Talisman are more important now than they were before. That's my point. Simply from a minutes played perspective. I would normally have 1 or 2. Now I would double that because of post gw 29 circumstances.

                      3. There is nothing wrong with the week bench strategy to maximize your playing 11 especially after a wildcard. I would have played bench boost near the end and used free transfers to strengthen my bench. What is wrong with that?

                      4. You think they will only train for 4 weeks and than play without getting game time in. Liverpool have already started working on possible pre season game scenarios. If that happens then this non debate is most certainly over.

                      4. I actually dont care about getting a wildcard. So many things have gone wrong I have resigned myself to a bad season. I do however find the reasoning of the no wildcard crew laughable. Hence my contribution. I am fi e with no wildcard. That's life. Just dont go around pretending it's fair in everyone when you clearly have an advantage. Thats all. Just accept it.

My point is that wildcard holders have a massive advantage but are denying it for some self righteous reason that is nauseating. Life is unfair. We shouldn't but most likely will. As soon as PL stopped, I thought to myself that whenever it will be resumed, FPL will give unlimited transfers, mainly for publicity reasons. They want as many people to be engaged after they lost interest, and nothing will be more fun to announce than unlimited transfers.

This will put lots of players without a WC in a quandary if the first week is a DGW. Do they bring DGW players they probably won't need again or get the team ready for the following gameweeks.

                  Some points

                  1) The vast majority of players still have their WC. Even if the season hadn't stopped they would still have a great advantage over those who don't have a WC. The virus had nothing to do with it.

                  2) If the first week is a DGW then many probably won't use the WC, the free-hit looks like a better chip anyway.

                  3) The FPL gave everybody the opportunity of a slow WC over about 8 weeks. This was the time to get your team ready for the restart, especially those who didn't have a WC left.

                  4) In fact the WC isn't as useful as it would have been as there are. probably no DGW's after the first week which could have helped us shoot up the rankings like in previous seasons.

                  5) Which players will play and have the best advantage is all guesswork, in the end the only guarantee is class players wills core the most points.

                    1. late wildcarders always have an advantage. I agree. But their advantage has increased greatly. I would 100% wildcard in the first or second week back if I still had it. I would also celebrate every big name fpl player not playing because for every hit taken to correct the inevitable team mess, my advantage increases.

                    2. Wildcard after free hit obviously. Still benefit from 90 odd games

                    3. Anybody who thinks they got their team ready with a slow wild card in early may for a restart in late june has never left their opening day fpl team alone for 6 weeks just for the fun of it to see that is a really bad strategy.

4.wildcard after free hit will gain you far more points of separation for 90 games than a gw 37 dgw imo

                    5. Your point validated my position so I dont feel the need to add anything here. Just I agree. No one knows where there at now. Wildcard just after the game restarts bloody massive

                    Good points all of these.

One thing that is forgotten is that many people set their team up for that extra City v Arsenal game. Covid has denied them points from those players involved and they won't be getting them back. For fairness sake at least it looks like that game will now feature in a DGW, so those with them still in place may yet benefit.

The way I see it, there is no way to please everyone. However, The definite thing is that those who WCed late (the later you did the worse) are at the most disadvantage. There are no guarantees the fixtures are played in same order they were originally. Even if they are, form and injuries situation after 2 months off is completely different from what is was. Hence the overhaul of the squad from using the WC is probably obsolete.
The fairest thing to do is that everyone gets unlimited transfers once the complete schedule is revealed and they can be used only until the next deadline. After the deadline, you lose that. So it is basically a WC that has to be played by next deadline.

Those who haven't played the 2nd WC keep it. They still have the advantage of the chip over those who have used it.

I think that the idea of unlimited transfers until the first match is the way to go.

I see a lot of people arguing that it's unfair to give out an extra wildcard as some people, including myself, have saved their 2nd wildcard. I agree on this and that's why the unlimited transfers before 1st match would be my suggestion.

But unlimited transfers is basically the same as a 3ed wildcard, I see some argue.

The unlimited transfers up until the first match is not the same as a 3ed wildcard - it is way less "valuable" as we have absolutely no information on player form, fitness, selection etc. We will even have less information compared to a normal pre-season, as there are friendly matches we can use to get a sense of selection. A 3ed wildcard that can be saved 1-2 gameweeks and used with a bit of information, will remove the small advantage the "savers" would normally get.

A good way to look at this is to ask if you would actually use your saved 2nd wildcard before the first match in this restart (assuming that a 3ed was not given out)? I would never wildcard on no information - that would be a complete crap shoot and the wildcard is way to valuable to use on no information.

I suggest unlimited transfer until the frist match and the people who have saved their 2nd wildcard get to keep that advantage and would be able to reset their team when more information is available.

Tough titties. I lost a Triple Captain chip to the virus the last GW don't see me complaining.

People who used the WC already gained the benefit they shouldn't get another. If people had being paying attention they just had 8 weeks to slowly transform their team which is basically a free WC.

I'm 23 points behind my ML leader clawed it back from about 80 points in a cash league he used all his chips early on to gain an advantage he used TC GW 1 and first WC after game week 2 and his second a good while before any signs of covid19 or the pl shutting down so has had more than an advantage! I have been patient and still have FH BB and WC and does seem unfair after allowing 8weeks FT is it? To change his team which he hasn't taken up that option to now reward him with a WC or even unlimited transfers seems unfair to me? But I do agree to some extent that those who used WC say a week or 2 weeks before the PL shut down should maybe be allowed a new WC but this would probably be to hard to set up I dont really see why some one who used both there WC months ago should get another

No, No and No. I have all four chips intact and I do not want you impatient Millenials getting another one because you didn't have the patience to wait for Covid 19.

Unlimited transfers up to restart just to even out the playing field i think, as most stopped playing as soon as the halt of play was put in place. Others more cunning(clever) continued to make transfers and shed dead wood great forward planning but now it seems a little unbalanced.

Thoughts on my team ahead of a restart?

                Pope
                TAA / Saiss / Maguire
                Salah / KDB / Bruno / Martial / Son
                Jimenez / DCL
                McCarthy / Ayew / Fernandez / Tanganga

If first week is a double, would you leave or FH?
I’m currently thinking FH would be best

                This is my current team:

                Leno*
                TAA, Maguire, Lundstram*
                Salah, KDB*, Fernandes, Grealish*
                Aubameyang*, Jimenez, DCL

                Pope; Egan*, Hayden, Hanley.

If the restart is a DGW would it be a waste for me to use FH seeing as I already have 6 players for the double and 2 free transfers to get up to 8?

Depends, if there is nothing to suggest there will be any other DGWs (and looks likely there won't be at this point) might as well use it then. I wouldn't want to use FTs to get up to 8 unless you want those extra 2 players for the following games, if you do then more appealing to hold it I guess.

People often get blinded by DGWs and end up fielding an inferior team by focusing entirely on DGW players.

I may just go with those two plus a Sheff U defender and Grealish.

This. Points are points, no matter when in the season they're earned. DGWs do present an opportunity to get "more" points, but sometimes the amount of transfers and chips you have to use to "prepare" for a DGW isn't worth it.

Blank GWs are a different story though...

                Manchester United's remaining fixtures:

tot, SHU, bri, BOU, avl, SOU, cpl, WHU, lei

Pogba and Rashford seemingly back too.

Bruno + one of them looks good.

Defence isn't the worst but TAA, Doherty, Alonso + Sheffield are far better, so probably no room there.

The effect of Bruno on that team has been close to transformative - his ability to retain the ball is excellent, takes so much pressure off the back line, and McTominay’s return has helped a fair bit as well. Lindelof is still a bit of a weak link, particularly under the high ball, but there’s definitely a very visible uptick in defensive output there, with those nice upcoming fixtures to boot

Utd had actually finally started converting those (consistently solid) underlying defensive stats (or at least XGc) into Clean sheets as a result

5 CS in their last 8 games was top drawer, and 4 CS in their last 5 games is elite level defensery, all of their reps are reasonably priced too - AWB in particular was in a pretty explosive patch of form

It wouldn’t be the first false dawn, and likely won’t be the last unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on one’s personal allegiances 🙂 )

Things definitely looked like they were finally clicking for them though, from front to back too - Bruno being the catalyst in chief

                REQUEST FOR SUPPORT....

I am sending an Email to EPL requesting that makeup games do not have artificial sound from stadium speakers or from the broadcaster. Bundesliga is wasting the opportunity and playing out-of-sync crowd noise. Very cheese ball.

I rather hear what the players, coaches, and referees say during the game.

This would make the crowd-less stadium way more interesting and compelling as a viewing experience.

If I make this request alone, then EPL will just add this to my long list of demands. They can ignore Americans but not Brits.

                Who's with me! Com'on.
