Your chance to turn €2.70 into €100k in FanTeam’s Gameweek 37-38 SCOFF

Sponsored by FanTeam

The 2020/21 finish line is in sight and the long slog is almost over.

FPL mini-leagues may be close to being settled already, while realistic ambitions of overall ranks will replace dreams of a top 1k finish.

But there is still one last chance to salvage a huge cash win from this topsy-turvy Premier League season.

That’s because FanTeam’s Spring Championship of Online Fantasy Football (SCOFF) is getting ever closer.

Running over Gameweeks 37 and 38, the SCOFF has a massive €500,000 prize pool and the manager finishing in first will scoop a life-changing €100,000.

How does SCOFF work ?

Following recent changes to the fixture schedule, the SCOFF will now begin on Wednesday, May 18 and run over Gameweeks 37 and 38.

The two weeks will run independently of one another so entrants will pick two separate teams for each week. Effectively, it’s like being given two back-to-back Free Hit chips in FPL.

How to qualify

The final buy-in is €1,100 (£990) but there are many ways to get involved for much less money.

The large majority of the final entrants will have come from feeder events called ‘satellites’, which will be running until the tournament starts.

Three steps to Scoff

FanTeam have created a three-step system that gives users the chance to qualify for as little as €2.70 (£2.48).

  • Step 1: Start your journey for €2.70 (£2.48) and battle it out to qualify for step 2
  • Step 2: Worth €55 (£49.50), you can either buy in directly or qualify from step 1
  • Step 3: You have made it to the €1,100 (£990) SCOFF!

It’s not just through Fantasy football tournaments that you can qualify, either. Satellites are running in a range of different sports, from NBA to NHL.

If you fancy a more direct route, look out for the direct satellites starting from as low as €11 (£9.90).

All the satellite tournaments can be found in the FanTeam lobby via the below link:

HEAD TO THE FANTEAM LOBBY HERE

Turn €2.70 into €100k

With so many routes to qualify for the SCOFF, there is every chance that FanTeam could see a winner that qualified for as little as €2.70 (£2.48).

Last November, FanTeam user fscottl showed how it can be done by qualifying for the WCOFF for €2 and walking away with a first prize of €30,000.

        Was leaning towards A tbh, so many games in such short time can only improve CS odds & reduce attacking verve

            But I won't be starting Mitchell, I'll be on 3-5-2 with rudiger shaw & TAA
            Also, ceballos can be any fodder upto 4.7

        Problem is I can afford Wood to DCL without another move. Not sure Jota has two games in him and Maddison isn't exactly firing...but will play both games. Option A is the go to atm or Rudiger to a 4m def and Wood to DCL

    Guys am in 19k rank and 50 points ahead in my ml, would like to block my rival who is taking bb. So for me a minus 4 needed

    Vydra son rudi to dcl greenwood Ward -4

    He has dcl greenwood and cp defence. Otherwise all same the difference in my team and his is especially with bb is

    Me

    Salah taa

    Him

    Digne castagne dallas Martinez

    So what's your opinion guys? It's between greenwood or zaha who is not blanking in 36.

    Playing around with DGW35 and BGW36 team, I'm looking at these options. Currrently have 2FT and 1.0 itb

    - Alternative A -

    GW35 Transfers , cost -4 pts:
    Stones -> TAA
    Son -> Greenwood
    Bamford -> Watkins

    Martinez
    AWB TAA Rudiger
    Bruno Salah Greenwood Lingard
    Watkins Kane Nacho
    (Aerola Dallas Konsa Raphina*)

    GW36 transfers:
    Bruno -> Son

    - Alternative B -

    GW35 Transfers for a cost of -4pts:
    Stones -> TAA
    Kane -> DCL
    Bamford -> Watkins -

    Martinez
    AWB TAA Rudiger
    Bruno Salah Son Lingard
    Watkins DCL Nacho
    (Aerola Dallas Konsa Raphina*)

    GW36 transfers:
    Nacho -> Kane
    Bruno -> £8.1 midfielder

    - Alternative C -

    GW35 Transfers for a cost of 8 pts:
    Stones -> TAA
    Son -> Greenwood
    Bamford -> DCL
    Rudiger -> Phillips

    Martinez
    AWB TAA Phiilps
    Bruno Salah Greenwood Lingard
    DCL Kane Nacho
    (Aerola Dallas Konsa Raphina*)

    In short , the main decisions are.

    1. Lose Son or Kane; Bruno to Son or Nacho to Kane + extra hit in GW36
    2. Do I need Greenwood over cheaper alternatives like JWP?
    3. Is DCL worth either losing Kane instead of Son, or extra hit for Rudger to Phillips, keeping in mind that DCL has SHU in GW36

        Txs, but I'm pretty sure I need TAA in as a shield, not only for this DGW but also for remaining mathes, so one of them has to go (getting back in GW36).

        Looking like I’m the opposite - I’ve made good progress since GW31 WC but the TGW has left me in a tough position.

        If I buy Bruno and Maguire rather than keeping Son and buying Digne I’ll be down to 6 before transfers for 36...

          Ouch

          Down to 6 isn't good. Can't see Maguire is worth it over Digne - and I say that as a long term Digne sufferer.

          Despite my 11 before FT in 36 I'd gladly swap records since 31. Slightly harrowing record of missing out on 50/50 calls here. 🙂

      It costs you their appearance points so it’s not really nothing

      I think WP has the most attacking potential and fixtures ain't bad either. Holgate plays for the best team.

    Just remember with Leicester, Chelsea, Man Utd and Arsenal blanking in GW36, if you have take a -4 hit to bring in one of their players and it leaves you with only 9 players for GW36, it's essentially costing you -8, to get you back to 11 for GW36.
    Also, even if you 10 or 11 viable players for GW36, there's a good chance you may have less than you think due to injury or being rested.

      Each hit buys me a game at this point but I think they'll be worth it overall.

      Currently debating whether to go Ward over Shaw for this very reason... Shaw may only play twice whereas Ward likely to play 3 and no hit for GW 36

        Possibly play all 3

        Clyne is now back and fit and played in a trial match. I rather expect him to get one of the next 3 personally. RH has rotated this season a bit when he could - it's just he's rarely has the choice.

    Plan is: Vardy, Son, Patricio > DCL, Bruno, Guaita (-4)
    Good to go?

    Guaita
    Trent, Castagne, Konsa
    Salah, Bruno, Greenwood, Jota
    DCL, Nacho, Watkins

      Nice. 3 extra games for 4 points is well worth it. How many players will you have for next week?

        Can field all 11, it would look like this

        Meslier
        Trent, Konsa, Veltman, Dallas
        Salah, Lingard, Jota, Bruno*
        DCL, Watkins

        Bruno>Son would be the one ft for 36

        Bench: Guaita, Vardy, Nacho, Greenwood

      I wouldn’t sell Vardy for a hit when he has Newcastle and another game this week.

    I need some help guys.

    Current team

    Forster*
    Shaw* Azpi* Trent*
    Son Salah* Pereira Eze*
    Kane Nacho* Vardy*

    Sanchez Saiss Dallas Raphina

    No Bruno has become a big problem With transfer done before the TGW announcement. 0.0ITB.

    Any transfer is a hit and it would take at least -8 to get Bruno and require selling 2 of Kane/Son/Vardy. Do I ride it out or is Bruno to essential in a triple?

    I currently have 2 Utd (Bruno/Shaw) 2 Liverpool (Taa/Jota).

    Looking at bringing in DCL and Greenwood for a -4.
    I will then need -4 to field 10 in gw 36.

    Are all these hits worth it?.

      taking hits in a blank gameweek is dodgy. If you are challenging at the top id probably just stick with greenwood. Would that leave you with 10/11 for the blank?

        Only if I transfer for a none playing in 36 which would be Mount.

        I have 2 Chelsea and Iheancho. All not playing in 36

    Need advice lads. I have my FH left. I also have a fairly good team going into the double gameweek.

    Current team :
    Martinez, Sanchez
    Shaw, Phillips, Castagne, Targett, White
    MO, Bruno, Son, Havertz, Lingard
    KAne, Watkins, NAcho

    Thinking of :
    A hold FH and do havertz to greenwood
    B hold FH havertz and son to zaha and greenwood -4
    C play free hit

      Be a brave call. If you are near top of the league sometimes you need to make these choices. I was 50 points behind the leader last week and brought in havertz and ended up with like 63 points and he had 22 -4 so iv setup a grandstand finish

    Which 2 would you drop on a FH?

    Guaita
    Shaw, TAA, Castagne*, Digne*, Robbo*
    Bruno, Salah, Greenwood, Zaha*
    Iheanacho, DCL, Watkins*
