Lost momentum in my mini league - one rival even had ManU treble defence, fair play to him.

Smooth week for sure but Costa to Anichebe could have gone better 😆 also Davies to Pva -4 especially as I screwed up and played him last on bench. Luckily didn't cost me

Roughage: Went all out attack, selling Tom Carroll for Firmino and took a hit to get Negredo in for Aguero and gave him the armband! 10 points below the average score, fell from a rank of 31 to 92.

Negredo captained downed us all but Eriksen saved with some grace

Smooth: CS from Robertson and Valencia, points from Alonso and Siggy.
Rough: Brought in Negredo (C) and Pogba for a -4. Complete fail from my dgw players (Hennesey, Zaha, Pogba, Valencia, Negredo) as well as my big hitters Alli, Kun, Lukaku. Lost 40 points to my rival and dropped from 63k to almost 100k ranking.

60 points, no United or City D killed my rank last night.

Smooth - Was staring at a -8 Friday with Valdes, Valencia. Didn't like it one bit so wildcarded a week earlier than planned to DeGea and Bailly. 29 points played 6. Brought in Hazard as well for Dele.

Rough - Hindsight's a wonderful thing but what were we thinking. Negredo (c) 🙂

Very little rough for once, this week. Playing Bavies ahead of Valencia, Baines or Alonso and I'd have made 100 🙂

Smooth : All of my 5 defenders got 6 points or more. Hennessey did alright against Spurs while simultaneously allowing Eriksen a nice 11 point haul. Valencia decided to match my highest scoring player on the bench in the one game he got to play. Gibson was a reliable captain in the midst of chaos.

Rough : Townsend didn't get the assist and no video evidence was presented. Sanchez and Lukaku predictably disappoints.

Smooth: Aguero / Antonio / Heaton (-8) > Negredo / Hazard / DDG for +18

Benteke TC, decent score and a nice rank boost.

Was torned between Benteke last GW or Sanchez GW 36 for TC. But CPL form and Bentekes form (and i watched couple of CPL games and Benteke looked really good so he passed the eye test) pushed me towards him. Also, i liked the fact that by putting a TC on Benteke meant that i can use my WC before GW 36 (instead before GW35) .

Top 10k, here i come 🙂

5 players in Palace-Spurs game producing little.
Not using BB - 31pts on bench !!! (Holgate, Bavies, De Roon & Pickford)

Rough: Kane (C) wasn't great, had a couple of blanks, 6 yellow cards!

Smooth: I bench boosted Pickford (2), De Roon (12), Friend (5) and Yoshida (0). Was looking pretty grim after the weekend, but it turned around on Wednesday night, relatively happy. I also did Valencia and Origi -> Bailly and Rashford (-4) which paid off and is better going forward. Very good week for me, going from ~45k to ~25k OR.

Smooth: played De Roon & King over Alli. DDG, Valencia, Alonso, Mawson all returned.

Rough: Negredo came as triple captain for a hit against Ibra (did not planned to take hit). Although I planned to TC Zaha anyway.

A week of 'meh', on my front.

Rough - benched Sané and Fuchs over Fabio and Son, but only cost me 3 points. Captained Negredo over De Gea in the last minute.

Smooth - Moved up 55k places, so not all that bad considering. And I'm still the Community Champion, but only just, 'A manager has no name' almost stole the lead this week, unlucky that man.

Rough, got burnt by my own mistakes going all too early in on United defense so ended up with -12, and Lukaku was my last transfer in just to cover my ML leader. Bad judgement is my rough this week as pointswise it went ok ish (65). Only a very small rough is that a lot of my players did either get a goal or managed a CS but not a single bonus point achieved form one of them.
Smooth; gained 12 points in my ML, so leading for the first time after beeing 137 points behind at some stage. Smooth is I kept faith in King and Cout.

Smooth: Daley Blind on my wc GW30. Own Eriksen.
Rough: Virtually everyone else, no other dgw points, Sanchez, captained Lukaku.

57 points. Very average.

A reasonable hit free 63. My hand was forced with the Carroll & Ibra injuries. I brought in Negredo(c) for Carroll before this news broke, held back on the second trade which was a planned Jak>Henno for 3 DGW players but after the Europa game I just did Ibra>Benteke so all in all can't complain how that panned out. Just lucky I had 2 FT's lined up.

Smooth; Benteke, Toby cleanie again, playing Maguire instead of bringing in Gibson for a hit, not selling Alonso, not selling Siggy, Coutinho.

Rough; Negredo(c) but 8 points is 8 points.

Barragan and Valencia both hurt my overall rank.
Especially that dreadful Barragan. What the hell was I thinking about?

Siggy->Towsend (-4) and Lukaku->Ibra->Negredo(-8) didn't pay off.

However Jaku->DDG (-4) certainly did

Smooth - De Gea & Bailly in for Grant & McAuley for 29 pts, saved my gameweek. Playing AOA for DRoon for his 12 pts.

Rough - Rest of team combined for 24 pts. 20 pts on the bench. Lukaku captain fail.

Average overall, happy enough with a small red arrow and still 7k rank.

Rough: Ibra -> Negredo and TC him. Maverick move which bombed big time. Valencia only playing once and Barragan 0.
Smooth: Benteke (should have captained him instead) and Eriksen

AOA Smooth! DeRoon 12pts instead of Alonso 4pts. Happy with 8pt return from the chip.

Smooth: also King and Bailly.

Rough: no keeper points with Grant not starting and Foster on the bench. Overall 65pts.

Rough - Triple Captain'd Negredo as a fantasy island risk instead of De Gea

Smooth - Brought in De Gea + Bailly for hits, ended up with 94 pts although it could have been much more.

Got Negredo and Benteke in for -8 but I captained the wrong one.

Rough: Going in 34 I had 5 DGW players, but than both Ibra and Valdes picked up injuries. I didn't fancy much of the DGW picks, so I picked up 2 single game players with my 2FTs, thus reducing my DGW players to 3.

Smooth: Took Costa and Cech and captained Costa in the process for a smooth 39 points. Ended the GW on 80 with and the highest OR so far this season at ~4K.

Rough: Bought Rashford (c) for Ibra and Negredo for Llorente for a hit

Smooth: Bought De Gea for Valdez and Played AOA to get De Roon's 12 points

Decided on getting Negredo in over Benteke after being persuaded to join the Spanish nightmare all week and captained the fool. Theres 10k gone. Planned a hit for DDG instead of Heaton but decided against as I normally never take a hit for a keeper *sigh* Carroll sat at sub one with 10 points and Smith staring at me with 6 points at sub 2.

Wildcarded and got 90 points best score this season including a 53 point defence of De Gea, Bailly, Gibson (c) and Ben Davies

Tekkers for 14 points and Hazard in too was also a smooth

Few roughs but Sanchez, Alli and Zaha could have offered more

NET GAIN (50 -8)= 42!
(87 overall!)

Even factoring in Yoshi/Amat/Pickford as 'playing options' it's plausible that owning WBA assets on the week of their blank forcing my hand effected a good points return, granted to fully 'appreciate' overall gains one would have to tally points from transfers out V transfers in e.g. Aguero Hattie v a Bentekke blank this week does reverse the 'gain' somewhat but i think I'll put that to one side and enjoy the moment!

Rough: -8 hit on Tuesday to buy Rojo and Ibra. I knew there was some risk with the EL game but I couldn't wait if I wanted Ibra for the DGW, due to price rises. Before the GW had even started they both ended their seasons - I have no wildcard to fix it with either. Replaced Ibra for -4 with Negredo.

Smooth: Benteke (C) rescued me (he was part of the -8 hit that also got Ibra and Rojo), and I stayed more or less at the same rank.

I rarely take transfers early but this is a warning to everyone, DO NOT DO IT. It seems to backfire terribly whenever I try it. Must be cursed. I basically ended up missing out on a DGW because of it, the hits offset any chance I had of making ground. However, if I hadn't done the hit I wouldn't have had Benteke...

Gibson (c) seemed poor after the first game but was the second highest scoring player behind De Roon in my squad!

Captained De Gea and played De Roon - 82 points and very happy

De Roon on bench. And agonised over bringing in either Benteke or Negredo. Got the latter.
