    Posting for a new audience.. pretty set on 4 of my attacking players as City and Liverpool probably have the best opening schedule. So I've locked in Salah Kun Mane and Mahrez in my team.
    I'm really confused about my team structure though..

      I have a very similar dilemma. Every season I tell myself in mid winter that Premium Defenders do very well for the first 12-15 Gameweeks and then seem to tail off. I vow to go 5-3-2 with Premiums for the first 12 weeks of the following season.

      However when I sit here pre-season, I always default back to something that looks like your A.

      So brave me says C and Boring me says A

      Can anyone point us to some stats on this?

        Having premium nailed defenders doesn't feel spectacular, and makes you feel like you are lacking in the offensive compartiment, but in the end will most likely bring you furthest up the table.

          Thankyou for that Calinesti, really interesting and I like the analogy. I'd say I probably only fully comprehend about 90% of your theory and agree with about 80% of what I understood. However it definitely strikes a chord and I will be mindful of it from now on when making team choices.

          I think the much simpler analysis that I was fishing for is whether there is any store in the simple theory that Premium defenders do better in the first third of the season than they do in the last third of the season? as a member I could probably derive this myself from the FFS database if I was n't so lazy,

    Morning gang. Any thoughts on the below? I wanted KDB but am happy to wait for him to return. Defence is expensive but I don't find many of the 6.5m midfielders that inspiring. It's either Aguero or Auba for the premium striker spot but Arsenal have 2 tough openers.

    Have you any players (apart from Salah, lets park that debate) in your starting team that you feel might be a little overpriced?
    But going with them for excitement factor or other reasons.

    Have or are you going to join a FPL draft league for this season ?

    I haven't seen much chatter about them on here this close season, and I personally I found the ones I entered last year unsatisfactory. Despite joining a league that included fellow FFS members including TorresMagic, many fantasy manager didn't even bother to make a single transfer, and you could count the number of managers (out of 15) still active near the end of the season on the fingers of one hand. Combining that with the fact that there are no prizes/awards to aim for, no league promotion/relegation or record of your achievements on the FPL, makes me wounder if entering is worth the hassle again this season.
