How Liverpool’s key FPL assets compare ahead of 2019/20

With a week to go before Gameweek 1, five of the eight most-owned Fantasy Premier League assets are on Liverpool’s books.

The Reds’ players were a rich source of FPL points last season and there is optimism that they can replicate that in 2019/20, although we have had to swallow price rises with a number of their key Fantasy assets.

FPL managers will be especially keen on Liverpool in the first two months of the upcoming season, with the Reds sitting second on our Season Ticker in Gameweeks 1 to 8.

Can the Reds match their performance levels of 2018/19, though?

      this is the best one i've seen in a while imo. I'm not quite sure how you've got wilson & vardy combined with 5 midfielders & defenders for a min price of 6.0. I suspect it's to do with the lack of sterling, kane or expensive goalkeeper but that's the cost of a great well balanced team which you have. Up to you whether you want to stick or try for another premium

    Currently have Walker (6) with bench fodder of Dendonker (4.5) and Greenwood (4.5).
    Do you guys think he will be better value than 6.5 options in MID/FWD? There are a lot of options Deu/Perez/Jota etc. but Walker outscored all of them last season, and City's opening fixtures scream plenty of clean sheets.

        City is tied for the best defence in the league for all intents and purposes.
        West Ham: straight forward win, likely clean sheet.
        Spurs: home game, expect a win, don't expect a clean sheet but wouldn't bet against it.
        Bournemouth: always expect them to score.
        Brighton: terrible attack.
        Norwich: terrible attack.
        Watford: average game but expect a win with a good chance of clean sheet.
        Everton: have been woeful going forward.
        Wolves: did very well against top 6 last season so expect them to score.
        Palace: Zaha FC, stop him and they don't score.
        Villa: terrible attack.
        Southampton: terrible attack.

          No argument that City is top 2 if not the best defence in the league. But out of their 3 opening fixtures, 2 look to have a slim chance of CS (against Spurs and Bournemouth). Given City assets' high ownership, price drops are inevitable after GW3 in that case. Think Walker will be one of the first to drop. Not sure if you want to risk that.

            I'd say that's fair. But I wouldn't be selling after 3 weeks so the risk of a price drop isn't really relevant if I expect more clean sheets to come.

            Bournemouth had little difference in total goals scored home/away, and were 7th for goals scored. They are an attacking side who are likely to lose and knick one or two. And it's a home game for Bournemouth anyways...
            Yes Villa are a Championship side who just lost their top goal scorer, compared to City's defence Villa's attack is terrible.

          I’d with the Kane option as I don’t think 4.5 rotation is worth the hassle, I think Perez will score similar to siggy, I’d downgrade Coleman rather than Barkley really like Barkley as a punt this year plus I wanna see how Everton without Zouma before bringing any in, and Kane will obviously our score Wilson if he stays fit

      Holebas is fun to own but be willing to accept failures. Arsenal can't defend. Allison doesn't get save points and a waste of a Reds spot. Digne has more crosses than any defender in the league last season. Lloris gets save points and is actually playing in a home stadium this year.

    King 12 goals 3 assists last season. 5 from penalties. Scored 2 away to Watford then only other away goal last game of season at terrible at home Palace. What's the attraction. Personally regret starting with him over Wilson last season who was 0.5m cheaper but "King is on penalties"
