With a week to go before Gameweek 1, five of the eight most-owned Fantasy Premier League assets are on Liverpool’s books.

The Reds’ players were a rich source of FPL points last season and there is optimism that they can replicate that in 2019/20, although we have had to swallow price rises with a number of their key Fantasy assets.

FPL managers will be especially keen on Liverpool in the first two months of the upcoming season, with the Reds sitting second on our Season Ticker in Gameweeks 1 to 8.

Can the Reds match their performance levels of 2018/19, though?

In our latest Numbers Game series, we assess Liverpool’s key underlying statistics from last season and highlight the numbers that matter to Fantasy bosses.

Agree with Zaha - would avoid for now. Jota is a strange one. Great player but don’t see him doing anything given those opening 5 fixtures. Throw in Europa League and Wolves will struggle big time. Don’t like Wilson as I think he is over-priced but that’s just personal sentiment

I like the Stones pick early season, saving a cool million over Porte, he could nick a goal from a corner anytime.
If Villa start firing this looks solid.

Sorting out the business end of the team:

    A) Greenwood Trossard Targett
    B) Adams Ibe Kelly

    Rest of the team:

    Heaton Button
    TAA VVD Coleman Ake ____
    Salah Sterling KDB Dedoncker ____
    Wilson Wesley ____

    * Is it just me or does there seem to be a lot more up in the air than usual for many teams at this stage?

With this in mind I'm thinking of storing 1m to allow some flexibility after the dust settles gw2/3. How does this lot look for 99?

    Pope

    TAA VVD Zinch Coleman (Diop)

    Salah, Sterling, Fraser, Barkley (Dendonker)

    Wilson, Jota (Greenwood)

    ***
    A) Zinch to Laporte

The way Burnley set up, they tend to encourage a lot of long shots from the opposition, which usually the keeper is equal to = save points.

Do think Bournemouth will do well early on. I have toyed with the villa 6.0 striker to replace king and Coleman in for Maguire but for some reason it doesn't look as strong. Also, what if Harry has a galvanising effect and they go on a run like that of last year before dropping off a cliff 👿

Two others to consider are moutinho who is nailed on and then possibly Albrighton.

Good enough to start season? Moura I know probably 2 weeks but good price point for replacement.

    Lloris
    TAA Laporte Van Dijk Digne
    Salah Sterling Moura Pérez
    King Deulofeu

    McGovern Dendoncker Greenwood Lundstram

Don’t love two 6.5 up front; makes it tough to get a premium if they get hot. Rest of the team looks great

why are you trading city gw3? They go on a good run of fixtures

Kane. If Spurs have a good fixture would you captain him? If City have a good fixture would you captain KDB? I would say yes to Kane and no to KDB. This assumes you don’t have Sterling and therefore only have Salah as a real captaincy choice outside of Kane and KDB.

no, i have salah, sterling and then one of kane/kdb

In which case a tight call. I have a Salah, Sterling and Kane team so that’s my preference.

I have Kane and King. My team:

              Ryan
              TAA Robbo Zinchenko Coleman A.Smith
              Salah Sterling Perez
              Kane King

    Slight change...

    Hendo
    Robo TAA Cathcart
    Sterl KDB Salah Robinson James
    Jota Deeney
    (4.0, Wesley, Lundstram, Diop)

Pros- strong bench, 4.5m/4.0m defenders rotate nicely... Wesley can rotate with Robinson or James. KDB can easy become Son... Can do Deeney to 6.0 or Robo to VVD/Laporte to do James to Perez

    Cons- 'Weak' strikeforce,

Lool. Could be true but all are enablers and believe in Hendo. Robinson may change to Hughes if I believe he won't start and then Deeney to King possibly. Any other comments?

Seriously why the lool response - makes no sense at all.
Also rip this up and start again.

Rip it up? Why? Because it doesn't have a non playing bench and Perez or King/Wilson... I'm happy with most of it, just a few tweaks which I'll make

No and no. I have no King or Wilson , don't give a monkeys about the bench but you have too much cash wasted on it at any one time.

James at man utd isn't a starter.

Doesn't spending a club record fee on Mcburnie mean Robinson is no longer safe?

Nobody is safe. Believe he will start though :). James can become Barkley or something. Easy change, will wait for deadline day and team news

Play the game through RPL eyes rather than Sheff Utd eyes.
I look at this and immediately think where has the ,one been spent then see KDB as well as Sterling. Forwards are toss , James isn't a great pick and Wesley on the bench ?
3-5-2 isn't working here but also can't decide whether it wants to be 3-4-3 or 4-3-3)

      1. Tsparkes10

Hendo is the best 4.5gk... Lundstram is best 4.0m defender as might actually play and Robinson is a 5.5m OOP punt. 🙂 all have good reasoning imo. Forwards are good imo, Deeney can be king if I decide on that. Had Laca before but not sure on him and means downgrading either Sterling or KDB. James can be changed and Wesley bad first fixture but then would be in the starting xi. Solid bench for cover so flexible formation

I love the upside of B, but we have no idea how Pepe will perform. So A is safer, but B could be great
