Fantasy5

£100 prize every month in Scout’s Fantasy5 mini-league

Sponsored by Fantasy5

On top of the £10,000 weekly jackpot (and myriad other prizes) on offer in the free-to-play Fantasy5 game, we are delighted to announce that there’ll be £100 a month up for grabs to the top player in the dedicated Fantasy Football Scout mini-league.

Mini-leagues are a new feature of Fantasy5 this season, allowing you to compete amongst friends and track each other’s predictions over time.

Fantasy5 are also giving away £1,000 across 10 randomly chosen mini-leagues, so set yours up today to be in with a chance of being picked (mini-leagues must have a minimum of five entrants to be eligible).

HOW TO JOIN THE FFSCOUT MINI-LEAGUE

The league join code is PM92QCG or you can just click here to join.

HOW TO PLAY FANTASY5

The rules are simple: enter a team by picking one player from each of the five nominated fixtures each Gameweek and, if they all exceed their ‘points target’ for that match, you’ll be taking home all – or at the very least a share – of the £10k jackpot.

There is no budget in Fantasy5 – if you wanted a team packed full of the big names, then you’re free to do so.

Naturally, the so-called “better” players will have a higher points target and Fantasy5‘s projections are a good indicator as to who is expected to perform well on any given matchday.

For example, on the opening weekend, Mohamed Salah will have to score in excess of 12.5 points in Liverpool’s clash with Norwich if the Egyptian is to help you on the way to the jackpot.

By contrast, the Canaries’ Lukas Rupp only has a points target of 4.5 to better.

Fantasy5 are the fastest media outlet for live Fantasy points, displaying all player points from the five games in question as well as the live score and time – as shown in the above image.

The competition is limited to one entry per person per round and selections must be submitted before kick-off of the first eligible match.

If two or more entrants correctly select five players who all score more than their points target, then the prize pot is split among all winners.

For a full list of the terms and conditions, click here.

SCORING SYSTEM

If you know anything about Fantasy Premier League, the Fantasy5 scoring system is easy.

Quite simply, it’s FPL without the bonus points.

For newcomers, players gain – and lose – points in Fantasy5 through the following outcomes:

ActionPoints scored
Playing up to 60 minutes1
Playing more than 60 minutes2
Each goal scored by a goalkeeper/defender6
Each goal scored by a midfielder5
Each goal scored by a forward4
Each assist3
Clean sheet by a goalkeeper/defender (must play 60+ mins)4
Clean sheet by a midfielder (must play 60+ mins)1
Every three shots saved by a goalkeeper1
A penalty save by a goalkeeper5
Missing a penalty-2
Every two goals conceded by a goalkeeper/defender-1
Yellow card-1
Red card-3
Scoring an own-goal-2

Played more minutes than Benrahma, in fact he played all 90 minutes in the final 3 pre season games. Not sure what he got in terms of returns but I believe he scored in the latest one

he's not going to be getting those chances without grealish though. grealish's season last year in terms of creation stats was absolutely absurd, one of the best i've ever seen on a per game basis. that's not to say i think villa strikers are poor value though, i'm on ings myself.

Ings is a genuinely top drawer player, he’s an absolute joy to watch too - whether it’s the creativity & flicks/through balls from deep, the pacy runs in behind or through the channels, or just the sheer lethal finishing ability

The poor guy is just so unlucky with injuries

Make hay while he’s fit & get him in your team (same with Antonio tbf, another absolute beast WHEN he’s fit)

I've noticed a lot of people not having Aston Villa defenders even though they have 3 very favorable opening fixtures...so in keeping with that thought I need your suggestions on the below:

    TAA+4.5 Forward OR Cash/target+Toney?

Reason being I feel I should be able to score more with the duo of villa defense+toney in 3 gwks as compared to TAA alone..

What do you lot think? Thanks in advance!

If you wanted to BBGW1 you could do something like this.....

    Sanchez (Bachmann)
    Shaw, Tsimikas, Veltman (Amartey, White)
    Salah, Bruno, Mahrez, Barnes (Benhrama)
    Ings, Antonio, Toney

Obviously the problem there is no TAA. But you could do Ings + Tsimikas > TAA + 4.5mfwd when Ings' fixtures turn in GW3 and switch into a more natural 3-5-2. And realistically as long as they're both playing Tsimi would be better value than TAA, the problem is that they won't both be playing for long.

If you're BBing you'd probably want to use subsequent transfers to realign in the coming weeks anyway, you'd want rid of Ings around GW3 anyway and you'd want rid of a 4.0 as well, so you'd have a few transfers aligning.

Not really advocating it or anything, just throwing out an idea. I do think there's scope for a creative GW1BB though given the cheap options knocking about.

Meh, I've BB'd before in GW1 with no hassle. Generally there are enough certain to start players for it not to be a problem, bar the sort of shock non appearances you could get in other weeks. Indeed sometimes the lack of options for teams at GW1 (due to late arrivals or whatever) makes some players *more* certain to start than they'd usually be.

That might not apply at all to the team I posted above mind you but I didn't give it that much thought, that was just thrown together.

You are BBing Bachmann, Amarty, White, Benrahma

10-12 pts would be a poor bb in my opinion.

Then you also have 2-2.5m out of your starting team until you fix it

who are the main contenders for a rotation partnership with Ben White? 4.5mil to spend.
Im not particularly interested in home away rotation, but more decent fixture rotation.
    any help appreciated, cheers everyone.

Veltman, but pair him with Bachmann to avoid double Brighton defence.

Id really rather have Sanchez, are brighton the only viable options?

In terms of pure fixtures Newcastle would be next best.

For a more popular option though maybe Ayling from Leeds. Those two would give you bre, EVE, bur, NOR, bur/new, WHU over the first six, which isn't the worst.

Maybe next GW. I might upgrade Greenwood to Grealish if he is likely to start.

Haven’t seen him in all that many drafts on here. Seen more Gundogan and Mahrez recently from memory

Team before Wildcard (probably on GW3). What do you guys think?

    Sanchez
    TAA - Shaw - Coufal - Tsimikas
    Salah - Bruno - Mahrez - Greenwood
    Ings - Antonio

    Foster - Amartey - Bissouma - Obafemi

If Vestergaard is a direct swap for Amartey, just have both so you know one can replace the other?

    Sanchez
    Taa shaw tsk
    Salah Bruno raph Barnes
    Ings toney Antonio

    Subs, steel, Gilmour, white, Ayling

I don't know what to do with the 1 mil? And should I downgrade ayling to Amarty?

That's pretty much the template, which is no bad thing. I'd keep Ayling imo, by the time you're not using Tsim, you won't have Amartey as an option.

That's what I was thinking, maybe Gilmour to esr because of covid and worse case scenario or save the 1 mill?

Save the 1m imo - when Lukaku (or another) starts firing I'd personally like to be able to flexibly get them in!

    3 x Villa
    3 x Liverpool including Mane & Salah
    2 x West Ham
    2 x Leicester including Vardy
    Plus 3 x Brighton

Target 1st 3 weeks and then WC after transfers deadline.

    Really tempted to do it.

Bummed on picking three of the five below. Imo:

Wilson (Pros: ASM has been improving on his assisting and final ball, on penalties, usually in the bonus if he scores, fixtures good. Cons: Newcastle not the best, many forwards projected better odds in GW1)

Ings (Pros: strong team, clinical, proven. Cons: made of glass, appeared to drop back last game more than Watkins when not in possession, Buendia may not play GW1, not on penalties with El G on the pitch)

Toney (Pros: plays the first game of the season against Arsenal so has huge price-rise capability if he scores, clinical in Champ, on penalties. Cons: Brentford are new to the PL, unproven in PL, could drop in price quick if he's off to a slow start, high ownership)

Antonio (Pros: proven, can take penalties, strong team, good preseason, decent fixtures. Cons: can potentially be invisible at times, has an injury history, chance of not taking penalties)

Mahrez (Pros: incredibly strong team, good preseason, *potentially* less Pep roulette, can take penalties - may be more pens with Grealish now. Cons: Pep roulette, first fixture is Spurs, awkward price point to move funds in team)

Think I'm going to go for Toney, Antonio, Ings. Wilson would be my choice over Toney, but that match day 1 fixture has killer potential. Not really a point to the above, more a ramble than anything! Good luck everyone for Friday.

You think first fixture being spurs is a con? They are going to get torn apart.
