FPL Think Tank – Double Gameweek 32

We are bringing back Fantasy Premier League ‘Think Tank’ in time for the Double Gameweeks ahead.

With Gameweek 32 chocked full of additional fixtures, which can be found here, Fantasy managers have plenty of questions.

In order to get a idea of the Fantasy Football Scout consensus on these issues, you can create your own poll and customise what answers are available.

Later in the week we will pick our favourite ones and publish them in an article for you all to vote in.

      But you can have 1 City def, Che def and Schlupp? Holebas could have been a consideration with his set pieces but game time a worry with Gracia thinkering. Assuming you´re not confident in United def also, Brighton have a home game vs Southampton so Duffy could be an option but Saints tends to score under new manager.

    I am 70 points behind my ML rival and he only has BB left? (Maybe TC also im not sure)
    His team will be going without Haz(probably) and Kane. Should I put a punt on Kane with this squad on fh?

    What will generate most points if you take rotations into consideration:

        Nice one mate - think I am actually happy with this one (if Kaku is fit)

        Obviously a bit scared of no Spurs but you can't win them all and I don't trust Kane at that price and the rest of the team have been poor

    Quick Question in relation to the FH chip being used this week.

    Is the best plan to put all your money into your first 11 with players that have a DGW and then have non playing cheap players on your bench? As in should you pump all the money into your first 11?

          I’d have Bat over Zaha - and will very likely get him in WC too.

          He’s looking better and better and is focal point of attack now. Palace have created plenty this season and a decent cf - -and he’s class - should do really well.

          Easy to see him haul against Huddersfield while Wilf has s lower probable ceiling if he plays.

    What are the lessons you have learnt from the doubles last year guys with you FH?

    For me, although it is very hard to resist to the appeal of doubles, don't let myself blinded by them. Last year I piled up with DGWers and a lot of them got outscored by SGWers. I had a terrible 31-38 ride and although I had heavily planned, I was outscored by hitters in the end.

    Lesson learnt is that an appealing Single fixture for an inform player might be a better shout than a let's say Knockaert's double this year. Of course, it doe snot sounf very logic on paper as you'd mathematically imagine 2x90 clearly is better than 1x90

    I'd say playing the DGW would better make sense for WC+BB but I am not sure being blinded by them is a great apporach for FH32.

      Chelsea, Utd and City all have 2 good DGW fixtures though this time. Wolves is the hardest fixture for Man Utd, but Wolves may rest players for the FA Cup SF and Man Utd will have learnt lessons from their defeat in the FA Cup QFs.

      That is 9 players straight away for a Free Hit. The question is over the other two players (e.g. Palace?)

    Some site suggestions for moderators - would love some feedback from moderators on this please, on feasibility:

    1. Create a 'Library' section (and article category I suppose) for permanent articles you update, for key strategies and chips (FH is often asked about right now, this would really help)
    2. Extend # days for the 'FPL price updates' RHS tab, so we can see 1 week's worth of changes - useful for those who don't follow this daily
    3. Fix the 'Older Articles' bug on the articles page at the bottom left, which doesn't go back to previously submitted articles
    4. Rename the 'Articles' tab after 'Hot Topics' to 'Community', as these are community ones
    5. Add an 'Articles' tab after the 'Community' tab, this helps users find recently submitted articles quickly
    6. Is it possible to add a filter on the articles list, so you can filter by 'Scout Notes, 'Dugout discussion', 'Opinion', etc?

    A dilemma here.

    I have 11 in my current team to play in GW33. All chips are available. First in my mini league with 50+ pts.

    FH now + WC in GW33
    OR
    WC now (building the team for the rest of the season) + FH GW33

    I am somewhat more inclined to FH now, play my current 11 in GW33, WC in 33 and pretty much copy the team of my rival who will likely play his WC before me. Do you think this is the better alternative?
