Aubameyang and Lacazette both start but injured Ozil misses out

The first of three Premier League matches to take place on Sunday sees Leicester City take on Arsenal at the King Power Stadium.

Kick-off is at 12:00 BST.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is fit to start having undergone a “small procedure” on a sinus in midweek and the Gabonese forward is joined in the Arsenal starting XI by Alexandre Lacazette.

Sead Kolasinac and Shkodran Mustafi also come into the visitors’ side as Nacho Monreal, Mesut Ozil and Laurent Koscielny drop out.

The latter is on the bench but Ozil misses out with a foot problem and Monreal is sidelined with a calf injury.

Brendan Rodgers has made only one change, with Hamza Choudhury replacing Demarai Gray.

This is Choudhury’s first start under the new Leicester boss and his first league start since January.

Harvey Barnes is only among the substitutes despite scoring a stoppage-time equaliser in the 2-2 draw with West Ham last weekend.

Jamie Vardy leads the line for the Foxes again and no FPL asset has been involved in as many goals (ten) as the Leicester striker from Gameweek 28 onwards.

Youri Tielemans has only blanked in one of the last eight Gameweeks, meanwhile.

Arsenal have won only two of their last 11 away league matches and have kept just one clean sheet on the road all season.

Aubameyang and Lacazette have both only scored one goal in their last six Premier League away appearances.

Leicester City XI: Schmeichel, Ricardo, Evans, Maguire, Chilwell, Ndidi, Tielemans, Choudhury, Albrighton, Maddison, Vardy.

Subs: Ward, Soyuncu, Gray, Iheanacho, Barnes, Mendy, Fuchs.

Arsenal XI: Leno, Maitland-Niles, Mustafi, Sokratis, Kolasinac, Xhaka, Torreira, Mkhitaryan, Iwobi, Aubameyang, Lacazette.

Subs: Cech, Koscielny, Mavropanos, Elneny, Guendouzi, Willock, Nketiah.

The ego clubs will definitely be in for him - Real Madrid, PSG etc - I'm sure Juve would welcome him back with open arms also - has 51 attacking returns in 89 league games (24 goals & 27 assists) and a world cup despite not bothering his arse half the time, still only 26 is a massive value adder also utd could actually come out of the deal quite well as he would easily go for €100m+ considering he was £80m 4 years ago

Yeah, but they could have still been top of the league with a points lead over City with game in hand after the Leicester result.

They should have beaten West Ham, who were crap that day, but they stopped playing in the second half.

Agree on Tielmans I was just thinking the same. Off the top of my head Foden, Long, Periera and lingard (Man United if they have the clear out)
Babel if he signs for a premier league club.
Henderson if he continues with his advanced role for liverpool
Of course there are the pen takers with VAR could be lots milner, noble, neves all come into the reckoning

      1. Bartowski
        • 13 Years

Longs a good shout as a third striker. Lingard looks like he's regressed and don't fancy Man U in general to do well next season.

Foden still won't get the game time unfortuanately.

Babel and penalty takers are very good shouts. Var is going to change things quite a bit I imagine.

Meyer is very highly rated in Germany and still only 23. If he gets a run in the Palace team (which he now seems to be getting) he could surprise you and will very likely out-perform his price tag by some way next season.
