Improving Burnley on FPL radar ahead of fixture turn

Burnley players are being widely overlooked by Fantasy Premier League managers as we approach the start of the 2019/20 season.

Not one of the Clarets’ first-choice outfielders sits in more than 2.5% of FPL squads at the time of writing, while their most-owned asset – goalkeeper Tom Heaton (£4.5m) – has been strongly linked with a move to Aston Villa.

The collective cold shoulder is warranted, with Sean Dyche’s side facing Arsenal, Wolves and Liverpool in the first four Gameweeks.

As a result, Burnley sit bottom of our Season Ticker until after the September international break.

After that, the picture looks much rosier: Dyche’s troops are catapulted to the top of our Season Ticker from Gameweeks 5-14 and meet only Chelsea of last season’s top six in those ten matches.

With the fixture turn in mind, our latest Numbers Game article delves into last season’s statistics to see if there is any incentive to invest in the Clarets’ players from mid-September onwards.

    Thoughts?

    Fab - Button
    VVD - TAA - Digne - Laporte - Zinch
    Salah - Pogba - Moura - Fraser - Donkeu
    Wilson - DCL - Greenwood

Moura seems like a good punt for gw1. Options open to change him in gw2 or gw3. I have .5 in the bank to switch for flexibility, dont think there is any spot where its worth spending it over the option to go Siggy/Rich in gw2

Not many going with Flappy this time. I'd just recommend spending that 0.5 upgrading DCL. Otherwise all good!

I think DCL is a good option at his price and hes on then bench anyway for GW1. I prefer the flexibility that .5 itb offers. Also makes me more resilient to bandwagon price changes in the first game weeks.

    Salah. KDB. Pérez.
Kane. King. Giroud. (Could be Haller if 7 mill)

    Button. Jorginho. Diop. Dendoncker.

RMT guys, I think I've finally cracked it....for today. Will change again tomorrow nae doot

    Eastwood/Ryan
VVD/Digne/Holebas/Kelly/Zapacosta (filler til I see who will be playing at the back for Chelsea, might potentially swap out for Trips replacement at Spurs
    Salah/De Bruyne/Sigs/Perez/Dendoncker
    Aguero/King/Greenwood

I'm banking on save points from the keepers, potential to swap Ryan out for Button and that would give me an extra 0.5m (already got 1m in the bank for the potential Zapa swap out)

After United, they face Leicester at home, then Norwich away and Sheffield at home. Pretty good imo, could see some points there from Willian who is currently my favourite attacking player from their side.

Forwards from those teams are either unreliable, such as Rashford and Giroud, while those who are more reliable are quite expensive, eg. Kane, Auba and Aguero when compared to the likes of Salah and Sterling who are expected to score at least as many from midfield while certain defenders get more assists than those same forwards to go with their clean sheets. There's simply no room for them, in my opinion, when there's much better value to be found elsewhere. Even after investing in these top defenders and midfielders and the healthy returns they bring, there's enough left for comparatively decent forwards like Wilson or Vardy.

Hello everybody, and a pat on the shoulder to all Newcastle fans.
A little poll here. How many matches will in your opinion these guys have played at the end of the season? Just to have an idea of what you think. I know it's hard to say, but it's a.
    Joe Gomez
    John Stones
    Benjamin Mendy
    Ben Davies
    Alexis Sanchez
    Anthony Martial
    Callum Robinson
    Tammy Abraham.

    Thanks in advance!

Just done a draft with Kane/Sterling/Salah and it's not as bad as I thought.

There are only 4 changes from my previous draft: Deeney/Siggy/Fraser/VVD to Kane/Perez/Brooks/Dunk.

    Pope
    TAA Digne Zinchenko Dunk
    Salah Sterling Perez Brooks
    Kane King
    (Button Dendoncker Diop Wickham)

    Any feedback is appreciated.

Have looked at something similar - now very much on backburner.

My version had 4.5 mid and extra premium in defence

Robbo Coleman Dendo to outperform Digne Dunk Brooks.

That Bournemouth double up looks very suboptimal to me.

United's defence is looking dodgy when counter-attacked. Huge gap in front of the the CBs that's getting exploited by Leeds. That's the lack of a DM there.

But my word, M United looks even more dangerous on their counter. Rashford the centre piece every time. He just slotted Dan James through for a one-on-one with the keeper, but his placed shot just hits the post. Should have scored.

Pogba is a lot harder to fit in, so probably Rashford.

Given how many are going Siggy Pogba should be relatively simple - just 0.5 from the back.

No Siggy for me I’ve been pondering this
