That 4.5M defender selection is a shark tank of players that could go horribly wrong, kiko femenia and gary cahill to name a couple, who do you consider to be the safest, most reliable option? I’m considering Bednarek, but i have Ings up top, and double Saints is a recipe for disaster. Any other options to consider? It’s for a 4th starting defender.

What affect do you all think Cancelo’s signing has on Mac City? Walker minutes very likely to suffer? Is Zinchenko at risk at all? Really feels like no defender is nailed in that team....

Cancelo is a class defender. Walker is too. Zinchenko isn't. Can see Cancelo and walker playing away games /against tough opposition and Cancelo and Zinchenko vs the easier opposition. But then you also have mendy. That being said I'm not pep. I'm just going to stay away from that entire situation though

    Happy with this lot:

    Heaton
    TAA - Robbo - Digne
    Salah - Sterling - Fraser - Perez - Trossard
    Wilson - Deeney
    (4.0 - 4.0 - 4.5 - 4.5)

Only changes I might consider are:
    1. Jota over Deeney if he gets benched tonight.
    2. Moura over Fraser but really not sure about it.
    3. Trossard (352) or Zinchenko (442)

    Thoughts?

Fraser is the most safe choice out of those.
Moura probably won't ever be a long term option unless there are injuries.
Martial still feels like a punt but it could change after 2-3 games.

      Prefer Deeney/Jota to Wood/King.
Wood is a good option from GW5 though.

      Morning all,

Not much of a regular on here these days (kids, my current obsession with genealogy) but here's my RMT for old times sake:

      Ryan
      VVD Zinchenko Soyuncu
Salah (c) Sterling(v) Sigurdsson Milivojevic Barkley
      Wood Abraham

As in bench too strong or bench too weak?! I plan to rotate the squad. I'm backing two Sheffield defenders because both have attacking potential and I think they'll be tight at the back.

As in strong. Fair strategy, but I couldn't come to terms with benching a 6.5 attacker. Could see it paying off though

Is Pope safe as number 1, or should I go for Heston instead?

Pretty safe as long as fit I'd imagine, as for Charlton Heston thats your call 😉

I'm on Ryan-Krul because I'm not confident in Pope's security of starts and the Villa team has been hugely disrupted and wasn't great defensively last season. Nor was Norwich, but thwir fixtures complement Brighton's better.
