Too early to say, Rich as a punt as Spurs will probably get a Kane replacement. Maddison I like.

All could be great options. If you're set on having one I'd go Maddison, he seems to get points regardless of fixture or team mates

Thx. Spurs will still attack with this manager even without kane. Heard he prefers winning 4-3 than 1-0.. Maddison seems safer, Richa is more of punt

I seem to remember MARCH got most of his points at the back end of the season last time out. At 2% ownership he seems like he might be a fantastic differential instead of Mitoma at close to 40%. Or is the FOMO too strong?

It's that time of the pre-seasons where I'm getting the fear about my risky picks. Jota, Foden, Cash (benched). But they are my gut instincts. Go maverick or play it safe and change?

Could be huge eh. I'm thinking worst case scenario is an early wildcard, which is not something I have ever done before. Always played it safe early doors!

I've had FODEN in and out a lot. That's such a good price for the points he can get over the whole season, roulette or no roulette.

All too punty for me for GW1 but at least this season we should see a lot more added time so if Foden/Jota are benched and coming on you should still see 35-40 mins most of the time..

    Pickford - Areolo
    Martinez - Estu - Gabriel - 5.0 - Beyer
    Saka - Mbuemo - Rashford - Richarlison - Salah
    Haaland - Pedro - Mbuama

Almost good to go, just trying to work out a good 5.0 defender. Ideally I wanted Stones but I’m 0.5 short and cant see where to free up the coins!

Ideas? I’m in this predicament as I did Eze > Rich.

Liverpool are now desperate for DM, at the time when Belling saga was happening they needed big midfield overhaul so opted for chepaer mids ( Mac, Sobo) and had attacking players. it more filling the big gap with 2 DM leaving.

It’s not really, when Antony is 85, Hoijlund is 75, Enzo 106, Phillips is 50, Soboz 70 odd, Caicedo and Rice are easily worth what was paid, the market is set because of the fees I’ve just mentioned.

For context, Benfica bought Enzo for 10/15m a year before, he had a season in Portugal & a good World Cup and Chelsea paid that, it’s bonkers and everyone sufferers as a result.

          The market is the market.

United spent 60m on a player with only 12 months left on his contract, context is everything.

There's a lot of hardship out there in the real world right now. £110,000,000 being spent on a footballer is obscene.

Shallow thinking. I addressed this lazy word in an earlier post, but if it means Liverpool finish 4th and Chelsea fifth, it's money well spent.

        1. El Presidente
          • 4 Years
          9 months, 22 days ago

Well you can call it what you want, but this is the opposite of careful and thoughtful planning that's for sure. You might say things unravelled after the Fabinho & Henderson sale and that's a fair point but the truth is the necessity was already there. Forget about Bellingham, Liverpool rejected to pay €60M for Manuel Ugarte from Sporting Lisbon (went on to PSG) IMO better player than Caicedo. So, yes it was a bit of a panic buy.

Probably template and boring but fairly set on the below. Just can't really decide on the GK, either 4.5 rotating with Turner or Onana for 0.5. 4.5 GK leaves 1.5ITB and could allow, e.g. Pedro to Jackson later on. Thoughts?

    X/Turner
    Chilwell/Gabriel/Estu/Udogie/4.0
    Rash/Saka/Bruno/Mart/Jota
