As soon as I take Rashford out, he’ll score a hat trick.

He’s therefore a season keeper for me.

Personally I think until Højlund is fit and has played a few games for the team to get used to the setup, I don't think there are going to be any big improvements. Maybe if Sancho plays as a 9 to allow Rashford to go LW but it just looks a bit disjointed from what I saw yesterday (which admittedly wasn't much).

Yeah same, if he was 6.5 like last year you could easily be patient, at 9m not so much.

A midfield 5 of Saka, Martinelli, Foden, Diaz & Mbuemo could easily score enough points to not fear him, Bruno or even an uncaptained Salah.

First half showed there's points for Uniteds attackers, so while I felt this double was a mistake, I think giving them Forest should be fine.
That said I'm annoyed with myself not backing to go against from the start. The signs were there.

Ignoring the relative Salah(C) disappointment, I was impressed by Szoboszlai yesterday. Got forward quite a lot in the half-spaces and into the box, took a few shots at goal (one resulting in Jota's goal from Neto's save), won the penalty too (albeit very theatrically). Has a very good engine on him too clearly as he was one of the few that was still covering huge distances up to the very end despite most of the rest of the team looking quite tired and this was despite him having to do more with MacAllister sent off. Can definitely see him doing well this season. Can't say I won't be tempted to move Salah to him at some stage soon

I'll be honest I wasn't too sure on Diaz initially but he was so good yesterday, surprised me how much he was in the box centrally too (including for his goal). Feel like I have so many issues to deal with and so many potential targets so I don't know where to begin

Liverpool have a brilliant forward line but lacking holding midfielder
& Gakpo should be up front whilst number 9 should be Darwin Nunez
down the middle he looks very good - a red Haaland

Took a punt on Szoboszlai yesterday. Brought him in for Foden given their respective fixtures. Points wise it didn’t go well but if Salah scores the penalty then Szoboszlai ends up with two assists instead of one and less damage to my rank. Fine margins indeed.

Guess It’s back to Foden now for his good looking fixtures next two weeks at least.

Incidentally I have a Draft League team that does not contain Haaland, Salah or Rashford (someone else snapped them up before it was my turn) but has outperformed my “real” template based team by about 20 points. Just saying ……

He's a class act, and will get both goals and assist from that deadly right foot.
From what we've seen so far, my sentiment from Liverpool is that goals assist will be more shared. That doesn't mean Salah will be bad option, but it could mean there could be bargains to come. Szoboszlai is one. He was in my first draft. Then I got into the United hype.. haha.

Having had time to reflect on the Utd game, selling Bruno is total madness I’ve realised. Nearly 0.8 xG and 0.8 xA, and that’s not accounting for the clear peno he should have had.

Rashford however… well surely ETH can see he needs to be played on the wing. A Martial or Sancho start up top vs Forest perhaps?

Let me put the question another way:

If I want to bring in Jackson this week, who would you upgrade?

      A) Pedro
      B) Osula

B seems obvious but, looking at fixtures, I don’t think I could start 3 strikers with my 5 midfielders, so would keeping Pedro on the bench be a waste?

Yes I also love Foden’s turnaround. The problem is having the confidence that your Utd players are going to be next week’s go to players. So far I’m not convinced they’re not more Timo Werner than Almiron

Good to see Mitoma start so well. I know his ownership is massive but there was quite a lot of naysaying from some content creators pre season, which I didn’t quite understand. A lot of Brighton assets are rotation risks but he and Pervis feel like solid holds for a while, cheap enough to bench occasionally if needed

Don't think folks need the headache when you can move to someone that are more certain to start like Jackson, Wissa, Alvarez and Watkins

Wissa is the only realistic certain starter you can move from Pedro from those unless you've got some serious MITB. Alvarez more certain? Probably, wouldn't count on it though.

I've seen quite a number of posts from folks that can upgrade Pedro to Jackson. Teams looking to downgrade a Bruno/ Rashford can afford the upgrade to Watkins.

That's fair enough if people have the 1.5 ITB, the latter option involves more surgery of the team generally which was always the risk of owning Pedro, if you wanted out you probably couldn't do it in 1 move. Presumably those looking to go up to Watkins are currently on Haaland & Pedro which is perhaps a more pressing issue, probably looks worse given Haaland blanked this week, than those with Pedro and 2 other decent strikers already? As a Pedro owner I'm not unhappy with him getting 30 mins yesterday, ideally he starts but 30 mins on another day when the side aren't already winning by 3 goals is a different kettle of fish and he probably gets on earlier in that scenario too.

The somehow is easily explained, his goals have come from him being in the box whereas Mitoma's came from his own skill from much further out. For my money Mitoma doesn't score his goal against most defences in the league whereas March's goals, if he keeps getting into those positions will happen time after time. Assuming the same gametime which isn't a given I'd be all over March.

Decision time this week despite having decent fixtures overall.
Stones, Gabriel, Pedro/Watkins, Bruno/Rashford a few guys on the chopping block.
What stands out for you here in terms of moves?

      1. Stones/Pedro -> 4.4m (Gusto) + Jackson
      2. Stones/Pedro-> 5.3m + Wissa.
      3. Keep Pedro and change Watkins.
      4. Something else including a hit etc.

      Pickford.
      Chilwell, Estupinan, Gabriel.
      Fernandes, Martinelli, Rashford, Saka.
      Pedro, Watkins, Haaland.
      Turner, Beyer, E. Anderson, Stones.

I tend to agree and the discussion should be more about who you own. Estu at 5 is so attacking, no need to ship. And the attackers is fine. Pedro is the debatable one. I'm going to sell. But not for the fixture reason, but less nailed starter than I thought.

Its great they've scored 8 goals but these were both fixtures we expected them to score goals in and win and now they have everyone seems surprised. Defensively they don't look sound (Brighton) in either game to me but they've clearly got a lot of attacking talent. I'd be surprised albeit its early days if Wolves and Luton aren't in the thick of a relegation scrap.

They would crush United in this form and United aren’t going to magically get better over night. Estup is a season keeper, Mitoma can rotate and ride out rougher fixtures, wouldn’t keep the triple up.

Pedro is going to Wissa or Jackson (for me) depending on how Chelsea get on today.
