I think Utd look so poor and Rashford better out wide. Concern is missing Saka/Foden points in GW3…

Those are talking points. Rashford is still really good and we are still talking about Forest at Old Trafford.

Good points. City and Arsenal more free scoring and their oppo’s are worse than Forest in GW3.

Ill think on it and be back Friday

Not sure if the full comments on the penalty were posted but they make for interesting reading, doesn't sound to me like they're definitively in Odegaard's hands now.

"I had no idea Martin was going to take it," Arteta said. "It's their decision and then it's the right decision because they feel it, and if they feel it they have to do it regardless what I think."

"I didn't know. I expected Saka to take it and then he passed it to Martin and they felt it like this in that moment, and that's right because somebody has to take it."

Odegaard said: "We've been taking [penalties] in pre-season a lot and I've scored all mine, so I just asked him, and he gave it to me so I have to thank him for that one."

suggests saka could be back 🙂 as mentioned earlier though he didnt score that many pens last season so hopefully shouldnt have much of an impact on his score

Isn’t that a red flag though? Saka has missed a few pens now, the one in the Euro Final, the one at West Ham which probably cost Arsenal the title, missed one in pre season, maybe he’s lost his nerve, you would never see Kane hand a pen over, he’s young, he don’t need the pressure/responsibility.

I’m going for both so will be covered either way but I don’t think this is a good thing, feels like his nerve has gone.

I think they are the two match winners and I’m happy to keep both. Rashford and Jota will go first

I agree and I don't think Saka is great at them either, but I'm just not entirely sure it's definitively with Odegaard now. To me he absolutely should be on them, but I'm also aware of Arteta and Arsenal's general desire for togetherness and backing up each other so I could see him or the players wanting him to take one again in a different scenario (maybe at a home game in a less hostile atmosphere when they're a couple of goals ahead) to help him regain some confidence

Yeah, I guess if Arsenal were 3 up he would have taken it, that strengthens the theory that his nerve has gone for me, either way, it’s pretty safe to say that Martinelli looks better with Jesus than with Nketiah so Saka is still worth owning if you’re on the double up, it just pushed Odegaard further forward.

xGi has it as Odegaard, Saka & Martinelli FWIW.

I missed last night but read a lot of comments that Odegaard was deep. But then again I saw people saying that v Forest and disagreed with that, came close late on, Nketiah should have laid off the ball to him in the box but instead shot (and scored), had a few other good runs that were ignored, etc.

Looked up the stats from the first 2 & his are up there with Saka & better than Martinelli’s

I’m not sure he’s doing much different to last year tbh

Nketiah is just killing the rest of the attack as FPL options. We need Trossard to start!

Yeah it's a big shame. Once Jesus is back / if Trossard comes in I'll happily look towards Martinelli but I needed no further evidence than the Forest game to see how much he negates him. Made that assist out of absolutely nothing for him and had no supply for basically the entire game

Good luck. Had a dreadful week too, was considering WC at one point or a hit but I think I'm just going to roll too. Bruno, Diaby and Maddison all could have had multiple returns, Salah too. Hoping it was a bit of an outlier of a week. JP could well start again so I'm giving him one more game too and Eze's good fixtures start now

I'm asking myself the same thing:
      A) Great choice, but his price rise may price you of upgrades other places
      B) ... or Gvardiol (welcome to the Pep-roulette)
      C) Already had the price rise, so same problem as A - and I dont really trust the Brenford-def

      D) Colwill/Gusto: but do you wanna be doubled up here?
      E) Udogie: dont trust CSs and scared of minutes

      F) Maybe Zinchenko arises? Just fallen to 4.9 and looks to be on his way back. Shold start over Tomiyasu any day when fit

    Or hold

Hold. Don't like taking -4 on a defender as you basically need them to keep a clean sheet in order to make any gain.

Why are most picking Gvardiol over Akanji, price, nailedness or attacking threat?

Bro, almost 80m player, FPL price tag at 5.0m.

Absolutely, but who is likely to get more points long term?

for long term, Trippier is. As NEW had most set-piece attempts at 22/23. Rotate own squad is a must. FYI, DFs 5.0m and below.

Propably because of the 0.1 price difference If you don’t have any spare cash. Very hard to be sure on nailedness in any of the City defs tbh

Drop a defender to play Richa?

    Onana,
    Saliba, Estupinan, Chilwell, Akanji,
    Saka, Foden, Mbeumo, Bruno
    Hauland, Jackson

    Turner, Richy, Joao, Kabore,

    1.8

I'd drop Akanji but not sure I like it :/ Feel like Richa has a higher ceiling

Akanji likely to get the bang average 6 points if the keep a clean sheet. Richa would just need to score one to beat that. If Richa blanks and Akanji keeps a clean sheet at worst you are likely to lose only 4 points. Also isn't it more fun to watch your forwards trying to score rather than defenders trying to keep a clean sheet 🙂 Just my two cents

I wouldn’t, nice back 4 with great fixtures and Richard’s son needs to earn his place.

He’s a hold for sure but so far not getting the points.

Heard some comments last weekend about potential Enciso injury but could not find any news about it. Is he potentially injured? Thinking about moving Pedro and Enciso being fit would make it easier.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Gabriel was subjected to interest from the oil fields league. Arsenal slapped like a €200 million price tag on him and said no way he is moving.

Must have been Gabriel he threw his toys and found himself in the naughty corner with Arteta to bring him down back to earth.

I explained repeatedly that it's nothing to do with Saudi - Arteta's decision is entirely tactical, and anyone watching Saliba last night ought to see that. But for some reason the A-or-B merchants here ignore my explanations and continue to punch themselves in the face while cooking up conspiracy theories.

It's more fun to create drama! I fully expect he'll be back in whenever Zinchenko seems to be back fit

    Onana,
    Estupinan, Chilwell, Gvardiol
    Saka, Maddison, Mbeumo, Mitoma, Odegaard
    Harland, Wissa
    Aerola, Gabriel, Bell, Mubama
    4.2M in bank 0FT
GTG or replace Gabriel for a -4. Worried about Maddison.

    GTG?

Used my FT to shift Gabriel, is anything here worth a -4, or would you wildcard this team?

    Pickford
    Estup - Chilwell - Romero
    Salah - Saka - Maddison - Bruno - Diaby
    Joao Pedro - Haaland

    Turner - Colwill - Mubaba - Beyer

Wonder how many weeks until Raya is in goal for Arsenal? Would like to bring him in as soon as that happens.
