How Scout Membership can help Fantasy managers in 2019/20

Full-season Fantasy Football Scout subscriptions are still available for £17.50 – that’s the equivalent of less than 39p a week.

Over the years we have added to the benefits that our Members enjoy and we will be re-investing back into the site to enhance it further in 2019/20.

The most recent addition was the new Flat-Track Bully tool, which allows Members to conduct research in greater detail.

Using this new feature (pictured below) you can exclude/include certain teams (i.e. the ‘big six’) when scrolling through the various tabs in our Player Stats section.

This will help you identify players who perhaps perform better against weaker opposition and even those who thrive against the top teams like Raúl Jiménez did in 2018/19.

We also recently put a call out for web developers and we have a number of other site improvements in the pipeline that will hopefully help our subscribers even more.

If you’re new to the benefits of Fantasy Football Scout membership, you can get full details, along with a series of movies previewing the content, via this page.

In 2018/19 we published more Members’ articles than ever before and there will be at least 150 such pieces in the 2019/20 campaign.

We also introduced Members-only comments and Hot Topics to allow for detailed discussions of content behind the pay-wall.

Our Projections and Rate My Team tools (below) have both been tweaked, with RMT’s Professor – aka Chris Atkinson – elaborating on the changes in a recent Hot Topic.

Reigning Fantasy Premier League champion Adam Levy is a paid-up Member of our site and he discussed what tools of ours he finds most useful in a recent interview.

In previous seasons we’ve helped FPL winners Tom Fenley and Simon March, while in 2015/16 we were thrilled to see Ed Masters – the winner of that year’s Members’ League – finish third in the overall rankings.

In 2017/18, Paul Gee went one better. He won our Members’ League and finished second, losing out to champion Yusuf Sheikh by just eight points.

We are hugely grateful to those who show their support by signing up as a Member each season. This continues to enable us to maintain the site, grow the Fantasy Football Scout team and develop more ideas.

Here are just some of the features you can enjoy as a subscriber:

Head-to-Head Comparisons

Compare both teams and players head to head.

Match Analysis

Analysis of every Premier League match (going back to 2011/12!), together with charts which plot average positions and our collection of heatmaps for touches, shots, chances created among other statistics.

Custom Stats Tables

Members can also create custom tables based on the data and share them with other subscribers (an example from last season is shown above).

Perhaps the most famous of these is Joe’s Goals Imminent table, which looks to predict which underperforming assets will find the net next.

Customisable Season Ticker

Sort by fixture difficulty and find out which teams’ matches rotate well using our customisable Season Ticker.

Be sure to check out all the other benefits of signing up as a member here. A full FAQ on our Members’ Area is also available here.

We will see. He’s SUFC’s star signing. I’m not sure I’d be happy to take the gamble and start the season with him, but I wanted to see what sort of XI he could enable.

That’s a brilliant midfield/defense and a non existent front line.

Yeah. I’ve seen many go with a lone 6.5m striker. I think Mousset could outscore any 5m midfielder too.

Digne to Coleman and maybe use the 0.5M to improve on Mousset?

      1. Zladan

Digne is a solid feature in my team. I think I would sooner do Pope + VVD to Alison + 4.5m.

Also, 5.5m gets you next to nothing for strikers. Mousset now becomes the best sub 6m striker option in the game.

Signed for SUFC. 5m is a good price for a starting striker - maybe as a 3rd striker though.

Salah, Sterling and KDB is too much. Choose between KDB and Sterling (Zaha, Perez....) and upgrade front line (witch is tertible)

The issue I have is I’m not sold on any midfielder around 6-7m unless I was gambling on James.

I think Leicester assets are a no go for the first 7 weeks.

I want to see how the Zaha xfer rumours play out.

Other than that there isn’t much else.

I like it. Would change a few things for personal preference but, as a structure, could be great. Mousset is surely going to play lots, and his xGI-per-min stats are really decent.

I'm happy with the incoming player mate. Upgrade over our every defender IMHO
Price is steep for me but hell it's Glazers Money who cares. I'm happy as long as we get better players than we already have

We're going to go down the hill though with such stupid ££ strategy by recruitment department.
Overspending on each f... Transfer & over killing by giving enormous wages to players will rock the boat if not hamdled with care i guess

Well its not Glazer money but Manutd as they kept club collateral during the financial crisis of 2009 to avoid their own real estate company going bankrupt. Manutd have one of highest debts in world football. We are just default payement away from getting a big points penalty. Amid all this rash Woodward makes the worst transfer decisions. Recipe for impending disaster of the football club

Difficult with bmouth and everton having good fixtures then you need to cover pool and city too obvously. That being said fraser and wilson are too expensive. Thoughts on this

    1. Netley Lucas
      • 8 Years
      4 years, 9 months ago

On the contrary, it's quite easy covering all these things and both Bournemouth lads you mention are in fact... undervalued.

    2. Another Hoops
      • 8 Years

They are expensive but I think they are good value for the opening fixtures and easily replaced in GW 3. Brooks is also another viable option but see my current team below which covers City Liverpool, Bournemouth and Everton. Admittedly I would like Zinchenko but everyone else is covered.

      Ryan
van Dijk - Trent - Coleman - Taylor
      Salah - Sterling - Fraser - Siggy
      Deulofeu - Wilson

      Button - Greenwood - Dendonker - Diop

Leicester are about to spend £45m of that on Dunk though. They’re laughing now until they have to go and sign someone.

      1. Maguire is younger than VVD
      2. Maguire offers greater goal threat than VVD
      3. Maguire is English
      4. Maguire starts for England
      5. United need a CB and LCFC know this

It’s maybe overpriced, but that’s the way the market works. Overspending is better than having Phil Jones CB for another season.

Yed Manutd have made a big deal of nationalism this season. Sadly that doesnt guarantee success. The main issue of Maguire is he suoer slow and is no leader like vvd is which we needed the most. We needed a CB who has a command of his own

I think the commander at the back is Lindelöf.

Maguire is a solid partner for him, he may not be the fastest, but he is good with the ball at his feet and offers a completely different dimension to the game.

I don’t recall us having a CB who was a genuine threat from set pieces since Vidic.

We're in no position to haggle unfortunately, if we wanna compete with the best teams for targets then we have to pay over the odds due to being loaded and no CL. Maguire is made even worse because Leicester don't need to sell, it's completely in their hands.

There was 5.5 Kolarov in 15-16 and last two years there was Otamendi and Laporte.

All factors considered I think we've got a solid opener on our hands. Long term I'm not sure but Angelino was released a year ago and returned and Mendy is just not favoured by Pep fitness/head wise

So are you going with Zinchenko early on then? Replacing him with a Spurs defender once we know more could be an option after GW4 they have a good run or fixtures

True. I would like to sign AWB - although argued as the best defensive RB in the league, he looks promising going forward in preseason.

              DDG
              AWB Lindelöf Maguire Shaw

Is a solid back line. I’d expect plenty of clean sheets.

The issue is I need 2LFC & Digne to start the season.

City safer than United in defence for now too.

Or there's Coleman. Loads of options, but for a 5.5 to cover the best or second best defence in the league for 4 gameweeks, I think he's a worthwhile gamble.

Waiting on Holebas - but not hopeful.

If you’re going this way Auba Mo Kane makes more sense in weeks 1 and 2. You have 3 super premiums and no very good captain choice in week 2. Given that this is presumably a short term early WC play that makes no sense.

My play would be to get Fraser in the middle to upgrade to Sterling from Auba in week 3 having rolled transfer. Shave a mill from back.

King? Really? Just don’t get it - pens or nothing so fixtures are irrelevant.
