How Scout Membership can help Fantasy managers in 2019/20

Full-season Fantasy Football Scout subscriptions are still available for £17.50 – that’s the equivalent of less than 39p a week.

Over the years we have added to the benefits that our Members enjoy and we will be re-investing back into the site to enhance it further in 2019/20.

The most recent addition was the new Flat-Track Bully tool, which allows Members to conduct research in greater detail.

Using this new feature (pictured below) you can exclude/include certain teams (i.e. the ‘big six’) when scrolling through the various tabs in our Player Stats section.

This will help you identify players who perhaps perform better against weaker opposition and even those who thrive against the top teams like Raúl Jiménez did in 2018/19.

We also recently put a call out for web developers and we have a number of other site improvements in the pipeline that will hopefully help our subscribers even more.

If you’re new to the benefits of Fantasy Football Scout membership, you can get full details, along with a series of movies previewing the content, via this page.

In 2018/19 we published more Members’ articles than ever before and there will be at least 150 such pieces in the 2019/20 campaign.

We also introduced Members-only comments and Hot Topics to allow for detailed discussions of content behind the pay-wall.

Our Projections and Rate My Team tools (below) have both been tweaked, with RMT’s Professor – aka Chris Atkinson – elaborating on the changes in a recent Hot Topic.

Reigning Fantasy Premier League champion Adam Levy is a paid-up Member of our site and he discussed what tools of ours he finds most useful in a recent interview.

In previous seasons we’ve helped FPL winners Tom Fenley and Simon March, while in 2015/16 we were thrilled to see Ed Masters – the winner of that year’s Members’ League – finish third in the overall rankings.

In 2017/18, Paul Gee went one better. He won our Members’ League and finished second, losing out to champion Yusuf Sheikh by just eight points.

We are hugely grateful to those who show their support by signing up as a Member each season. This continues to enable us to maintain the site, grow the Fantasy Football Scout team and develop more ideas.

Here are just some of the features you can enjoy as a subscriber:

Head-to-Head Comparisons

Compare both teams and players head to head.

Match Analysis

Analysis of every Premier League match (going back to 2011/12!), together with charts which plot average positions and our collection of heatmaps for touches, shots, chances created among other statistics.

Custom Stats Tables

Members can also create custom tables based on the data and share them with other subscribers (an example from last season is shown above).

Perhaps the most famous of these is Joe’s Goals Imminent table, which looks to predict which underperforming assets will find the net next.

Customisable Season Ticker

Sort by fixture difficulty and find out which teams’ matches rotate well using our customisable Season Ticker.

Be sure to check out all the other benefits of signing up as a member here. A full FAQ on our Members’ Area is also available here.

I think Soyuncu and Begovic are the men to step up for Leicester?

I they've been touted as the men to step up as opposed to purchasing Dunk, but ultimately I don't know. So the question mark is hoping for somebody to step up with better insight

Looks very good, but Cancelo is coming as soon as Danilo is offloaded (paper talk) and when Walker's rotated he does tend to miss home banker CSs

Looks good. Not sure I fancy Lloris though - Spurs weren't great defensively last season and I can't see how or why that is going to improve

looks good. Rich coming back from Brazil may be a concern, but if he plays, the schedule is set up nice.

I have Digne too but am monitoring Gueye situation.

Anyone else think they reclassified Jota/Deu to avoid the striker position being a barren wasteland?

Arnie last year and Firmino the year before have both had spells, but otherwise mids that become forwards are pretty underwhelming. Would rather Jota/Deu had remained mids, but priced more

    Alisson
    Alexander-Arnold, Aké, Coleman, Digne
    Sigurdsson, Salah, Pérez, Fraser
    Aubameyang, Wilson

    Button, Greenwood, Ramsay, Dendoncker

I'm about 90% settled now. Coleman/Digne still up in the air with the CDM questions, could do Telamans instead of Perez.

Planning an early WC. I don't like the 4.5 GK options at the moment so I want to take a few weeks to see how teams play. Eventually Allison will become a 4.5 and I'll bring in another Liverpool defender.

I hope to collect a few Bournemouth clean sheets in GW1 and 2

I need to see KDB play first. Sterling could be swapped for Salah, but Salah's games are better to start. Same with Auba/Aguero. City Defense outside of Ederson has question marks and I'm not ready to commit to one.

Sterling isn’t great in weeks 1 and 2 and there’s an easy transfer from Auba Fraser to Sterling in 3

Looking at this myself. People starting with Sterling Mo will be looking for a captain choice in week 2!!!

I've been running a money draft league on Fantrax. Looking to start a second division with lower buy-in and set up a promotion/relegation system. Rules are similar to FPL. Divison 1 buy-in is $25, so div 2 would be $15. WhatsApp is a must. Need 13 managers to make it happen. Any interest around here?

Long term I think no, but those early fixtures of the first for gameweeks suggests a haul or two could be nestled in there. Lovely left foot and such a good defender too, for the bonus

          • 8 Years

Yeah the fixtures are tempting but 6m is alot of money for a team that might not keep many clean sheets.

      A. Which City defender?

Would be interested to get some opinions on this -

      Pope
      TAA, Coleman, Azpilicueta, Zinchenko
      Salah, Sterling, Fraser, Zaha.
      Vardy, Deulofeu.

      Button, Lundstram, Dendoncker, Greenwood.

Yes I prefer the latter three. Pogba is looking great atm, while Zaha won't have a pre-season for example.

Zaha is so dangerous and is kind of out of position. He is the only one I am uncertain of because of where he might end up but he usually delivers

      Wilson - Jota - Greenwood

9.0m to spend on two defenders.

Should I go for a rotating pair (if so who) or a 5.0m (who start every week) and bench fodder ?

5 and fodder. Not to many good looking pairs at the start of the season (Brighton and Watford my favourite but Watford defence is risky given no one is really nailed)

        I'd go 2 x 4.5's.

        Lewis Dunk or
        Charlie Taylor

& find out who rotates well with either.

Just out of interest... would your team look any different if the season was starting from GW3? So basically GW3 = GW1.

Want a Palace defender for 4.5. Kelly, Dann and Ward: are any of them nailed?

      1. Andy_Social
        • 11 Years
        4 years, 9 months ago

Dann is 3rd choice and Kelly 4th choice CBs.
Ward was 2nd choice RB behind AWB. Currently that does make him first choice, but rumour has it Palace are looking to bring back Clyne to play there.

      Ederson Button

      TAA VVD Digne 4.0 4.0

      Sterling KDB Maddison Fraser 4.5

      Kane Jota 4.5

Any obvious problems apart from lack of Liverpool coverage?

4.5 mid should start and can also move Maddison to Perez to upgrade 4.0 def to 4.5 starting def

Downgrade Maddison to Perez and upgrade one of the 4.0/4.5's that you have to play every week imo.

Kane and Aguero (or Sterling) makes sense in terms of fixtures (except GW2) and value. Salahless is a big threat.

So this is where I'm at. The 4-4-2 feels good

      Ryan
      TAA VVD Digne Laporte
      Salah Sterling Siggy Milivojevic
      King Delofeu

      4.0 / Dendonker / Kelly / 4.5

I'm happy, but I might consider doing.....to get Pogba in

      Ryan / Digne / Laporte / Mili
      to
      Pickford / Coleman / WanB / Pog
