How Scout Membership can help Fantasy managers in 2019/20

Full-season Fantasy Football Scout subscriptions are still available for £17.50 – that’s the equivalent of less than 39p a week.

Over the years we have added to the benefits that our Members enjoy and we will be re-investing back into the site to enhance it further in 2019/20.

The most recent addition was the new Flat-Track Bully tool, which allows Members to conduct research in greater detail.

Using this new feature (pictured below) you can exclude/include certain teams (i.e. the ‘big six’) when scrolling through the various tabs in our Player Stats section.

This will help you identify players who perhaps perform better against weaker opposition and even those who thrive against the top teams like Raúl Jiménez did in 2018/19.

We also recently put a call out for web developers and we have a number of other site improvements in the pipeline that will hopefully help our subscribers even more.

If you’re new to the benefits of Fantasy Football Scout membership, you can get full details, along with a series of movies previewing the content, via this page.

In 2018/19 we published more Members’ articles than ever before and there will be at least 150 such pieces in the 2019/20 campaign.

We also introduced Members-only comments and Hot Topics to allow for detailed discussions of content behind the pay-wall.

Our Projections and Rate My Team tools (below) have both been tweaked, with RMT’s Professor – aka Chris Atkinson – elaborating on the changes in a recent Hot Topic.

Reigning Fantasy Premier League champion Adam Levy is a paid-up Member of our site and he discussed what tools of ours he finds most useful in a recent interview.

In previous seasons we’ve helped FPL winners Tom Fenley and Simon March, while in 2015/16 we were thrilled to see Ed Masters – the winner of that year’s Members’ League – finish third in the overall rankings.

In 2017/18, Paul Gee went one better. He won our Members’ League and finished second, losing out to champion Yusuf Sheikh by just eight points.

We are hugely grateful to those who show their support by signing up as a Member each season. This continues to enable us to maintain the site, grow the Fantasy Football Scout team and develop more ideas.

Here are just some of the features you can enjoy as a subscriber:

Head-to-Head Comparisons

Compare both teams and players head to head.

Match Analysis

Analysis of every Premier League match (going back to 2011/12!), together with charts which plot average positions and our collection of heatmaps for touches, shots, chances created among other statistics.

Custom Stats Tables

Members can also create custom tables based on the data and share them with other subscribers (an example from last season is shown above).

Perhaps the most famous of these is Joe’s Goals Imminent table, which looks to predict which underperforming assets will find the net next.

Customisable Season Ticker

Sort by fixture difficulty and find out which teams’ matches rotate well using our customisable Season Ticker.

Be sure to check out all the other benefits of signing up as a member here. A full FAQ on our Members’ Area is also available here.

    Which combo?
    A) Vardy + TAA + Digne
    B) Kane + VVD + A.smith

Depends on whether or not they keep up their pace after Rodgers arrived last season. If so, outside of Liv those fixtures don't scare me. And if they don't, it's a lateral move from Perez/Tielemans to Brooks or someone similar.

Vardy is parked in my front line for the foreseeable future- only 4 goals off Golden Boot pace with just a half season of Rodgers at the helm.

Price makes no difference, but if you've got a big hitter that you think is only good enough for your bench then you should probably just sell.

Kelly and Greenwood should be okay for a point apiece, but's about it. I really like Dendoncker if I revert back to a 4 man mid setup, but I think having 5 mids and a heavy backline is a decent way to start.

Part of the trade off of this kind of setup.

Would revert back to a 442, but honestly Jota/Deu/King don't make it worth it considering reclassifications/rotations/fixtures/Europa/alternatives factors

Anyone considering a 5-3-2 formation? Currently on:

    Pope
Zinchenko VVD TAA Kiko Femenia Digne
    Sterling Salah Brooks
    Vardy Wilson

    Button, Jorginho, Dendoncker, Nketiah

Dependant on Vardy absolutely blitzing it. Not sure if he's worth it, but have considered this type of setup

True, I am quite confident in Vardy doing well. But if he doesn't it should be easy enough to transfer him for an in-form striker. Cheers for feedback.

Can I please commend you on a bench with actual starters!

Otherwise I guess kiko is as good as any other 4.5 defender

Ha thanks! Kiko seems to me to have better attacking threat than most cheap defenders and Watford have decent fixtures to start with.

I have Dunk as a sub but as I keep slagging Brighton off maybe I should be consistent and dump him.

Brighton are schoite but he isn't. A Dunk goal in a 4-1 loss is all good.

He won't score that often. A solid defence is a necessity when picking defenders in almost any case

You don't really expect clean sheets from the 4.5s anyway to be fair.

    RMT 3-5-2

    - Ederson -
    - VVD - Digne - AWB
    - Salah (c) - Sterling - Brooks - L. Moura - Perez -
    - Wilson - Jota -

Ederson/AWB > Burnley keeper/TAA or Robbo - nice side, although 3 attackers face Man City in the opening 3 weeks, testy.

I’m struggling to justify any midfielders below 7.0 whilst there are several decent forwards to chose from at that price.
Incidentally there is lack of nailed 4.5 forwards but there are nailed 4.5 mids. This currently makes me go with 4-3-3:
    Ryan
    TAA, VVD, Digne, Laporte
    Salah, Sterling, Maddison
    Wilson, King, Jota
    Bench: Button; Hayden, Dendoncker, Kelly
What’s everyone’s thoughts on this draft?

I don’t like Ryan - Brighton are pants he is 4.5 for a reason
Don’t like double Bournemouth forwards - at least consider Brooks or Fraser.

Otherwise the rest is pretty much good to go!

I think Fraser is too expensive at 7.5 when I can have Leicester mids at better value.
I can switch King to Deulofeu

How is he too expensive? He’s under priced.

Scored more points than Pogba (8.5m), Richarlison (8m), 1 less than soggy (8m), Erik sen (9m) .....

Let me rephrase, at 7.5m price pint he doesn’t fit this current 4-3-3 team structure, cannot spend more than 7m on a 3rd mid

Not much choice for keepers or defenders at 4.5. Have to cut somewhere and keeper seems the obvious position to do it.
According to the scoutcast guys RMT thinks Ryan is a decent pick at the start

    Latest draft.

    Pope
    Zinchenko TAA Coleman Ake
Perez De Bruyne Sigurdsson Salah (C)
    Wilson Kane (v)

    Bench: Button, Greenwood, Kelly, Stephens

    My doubts?

Whether or not Wilson>King, Ake>VVD (Liverpool double up) is better.
If it's worth getting Fraser or Richarlison in instead of Sigurdsson.

    Thoughts?

Been all set on double pool defence since my first draft. But then I tried to squeeze Pogba in and came up with this. A few pints but like the look of it. Will probably use my WC after GW2 anyway. What do you think of it?

    Pope (4.0)
    TAA Digne Zinchenko KWP (4.0)
    Salah KDB Pogba Fraser (Donkey)
    Vardy Wilson (4.5)

Sigurdsson has great fixtures and CS +1 potential I feel. Pogba could be great in a few weeks once we see how United are doing.

As a Liverpool fan I feel as though Salah underperformed for his standards last season (yes, I know Liverpool played more defensive).

Salah can do better this year - yes

      KDB underpriced - yes

Kane - Add 1m more you have Sterling. 1.5m Salah.
Not convinced of Kane myself. Didn't pass the eyetest for me the last one and a half year or so.
