FFScout Memberships for 2020/21 season available

Fantasy Football Scout memberships for the 2020/21 season are now available – book now to secure the pre-season rate £17.50.

With the Premier League and FPL set for a welcome return in just over two weeks, the time has come when a Fantasy manager’s attention turns to strategies, selections and generally honing their edge to stay ahead of the chasing pack.

If this sounds at all familiar then you should probably consider the benefits of upgrading to Member status or indeed renewing for the coming season whilst the price is right.

Existing Members who have not yet renewed can get ahead of the game and save at least £2.50 (the best part of a coffee or a pint… if you were allowed to go to the coffee house or pub) if they secure their membership before the price rise.

For those who have not yet signed up, purchasing a full-season subscription today will give you fantastic value. By signing up now for the 2020/21 season you will also get access to all the stats, tools and articles for the completion of the 2019/20 campaign, which resumes on June 17th, as well as the new upcoming 2020/21 campaign.

Those Members who have had their membership extended for the conclusion of the 2019/20 season will have the chance to make use of the 2020/21 pre-season discount of £17.50 before it expires, as that price will remain into August.

Equally, for those hoping to sign up for next season now, we are working to enable existing members to lock that in before the conclusion of 2019/20. We’ll update you on this later in the week.

Meanwhile, if you prefer to dip in, we are continuing to offer rolling monthly packages for just £2.99 per month.

Existing registered users can upgrade via this link. New users, who are yet to get a registered account, can sign up via this link.

Payments can be made through Paypal or via Stripe using debit or credit cards.

Buying a membership helps to support the core FFS squad and ensure we can continue on our 10-year mission to provide the very best insight, tips and tools to a community of Fantasy managers from all over the world.

Anyone with Fantasy Football Scout membership will have access to the following benefits:

  • Plot your transfer strategies using the fully interactive Season Ticker.
  • Get projections for every Premier League player provided by the Rate My Team statistical model.
  • Use Rate My Team to guide your selections and transfers.
  • Continued access to exclusive Members articles.
  • Analyse our own Opta powered statistic tables specifically tailored for Fantasy Football Managers.
  • Engage in discussion with other users on this exclusive content using Members-only comments and Hot Topics.

Really? Is it not better to get this season finished first considering we have no idea when 20/21 will start or when it will run through to? When will my 20/21 membership expire? I guess the FFS coffers are running dry.

I mean, they run on annual membership that normally goes on sale this time of year. So I'd say 'coffers running dry' is a perfectly apt, albeit crudely phrased, reason to offer this option.

Seeing Mark’s name in termination this and ceased that really is horrible.

I thought he was just taking a break? Looks like he sold it? Wasn’t following closely when it happened.

Does look like Mark Sutherns sold his majority shareholding in Jan 2019 to Fantasy Media Limited. Fantasy Media Limited is owned by Christopher James who is also a director of Fantasy Football Scout Limited. Mark Sutherns is also not a Director of Fantasy Football Scout Limited anymore.

So rather than go on about Mark Sutherns running FFS, people should really be banging on about Christopher James as he is the owner and will take FFS in the direction he wants.

Had the same issue yestrday night and i sent an email to support and they were kind enough to fix it.

I think a lot of subscriptions were not renewed as they should because of some kind of glitch while updating the database.

Don't panic send them an email and they will take care of you.

Yeah a bit of confusion here, apologies.

If your membership expired, it's should be straight forward to sign up again. However if you are still a member, it's currently not possible to sign up for next season - that's something we're working on to fix!

Hopefully by the end of the week existing members will be able to sign up for next season, if they want to, for the 17.50 price. Certainly we'll make sure existing members get the chance to sign up for 17.50 - that's not just a deal for new members

Yesterday there was an article that stated "you can rest assured that all season-long memberships will be extended past this date and run until the conclusion of the 2019/20 season. " like they were doing us a favour.

    https://www.fantasyfootballscout.co.uk/2020/05/31/an-update-on-fantasy-football-scout-memberships/

Now they are asking us to sign up for 2020/21 season to get it at the discounted price, and presumably if we don't do so we will miss out on the preseason pricing !

the preseason price has also gone up by 40% (£12.50 to £17.50) over the last two season, with this years preseason price being the same as last seasons regular price.

Staggering really. I understand people supporting websites but for me they get their money through advertisements. To be asking for funds for next season stinks like it did with my club Arsenal and season ticket renewals.

Been on this site for over 10 years and i won't pay a penny. Same with the kids with FIFA 20 etc. Stick the base price be that free or £50 - but don't want to get sucked into paying additional funds.

Given the current climate, irrespective of whether you agree or disagree with the above, they should have waited.

Apologies it came off this way! It wasn't necessarily geared towards existing members.

This is largely for non-members who want to now become members - they can get next season for 17.50 but then they also get the rest of this season added in.

That sounds like a decent deal for new members, but the price is the same for existing members who have already effectively paid for the 19/20. That's an exorbitant 40% increase on last years introductory price of £12.50, will we be offered a better deal to renew our memberships after this season has been completed, like in previous years ?

After years and years of no price changes we really started to fall behind where we needed to be to put out what we had been and certainly where we needed to be to expand, to get updates through or provide new tools, etc. Any price rise here really has to do with making sure we continue offering the best product possible and certainly developing the Members Area offering.

It won't go lower than £17.50 this year and part of that helps pay for upcoming updates I mentioned - particularly the Comparison Tool, RateMyTeam Tool, and some new features I won't reveal yet. As well as more Members articles and analysis, and video of course, and all the other things we can offer.

But I certainly see how that rise can seem big one year to the next, even though the price actually was £17.50 without discount last year. Taking into account the total lack of price rises in the years previous, that 40% very rapidly shrinks when you go back - but again I see how it feels like a big jump

Hope that explains some of it!

I pay the membership to read the members only articles like Captain Sensible and the one that shows all the numbers/trends (like. 6 Alonso has more assists than any other defender over the last 4 GW, 18 Pukki has had more attempts than any other forward ?) and rarely go into the members areas. Have you considered a members only article membership ?

Yeah that's a possibility - not something we've looked at too much but can look at.

Possibly the biggest priority for me is making the Members Area accessible and easy to dig into. Parts of it certainly could be improved and once that's done I'll see which bits of our Members offering are used, to what degree, and then we can look at how to package it. I'll put in a note to consider different access levels like you suggest, maybe something just for articles

It's an optional 13p extra per gameweek. The content has arguably improved over the last two years. I don't see what the problem is.

Yes - seems a bit premature to be offering anything in relation to next season when we have still huge uncertainty on the conclusion of the current season. Who knows how the end of the current season is going to pan out and if there are challenges it could well impact the start of next season.

Yeah, certainly memberships have been extended and that still stands.

I want to stress that this article was largely for new members, letting them know that for 17.50 they'd get the end of this season, pre-season, and next season. 12 months as usual, but this time around it gives people a bit more.

Existing users won't miss out on preseason pricing though - the ability for existing members to renew before their membership ends will be possible (hopefully from this week) but the 17.50 price will also stay in place for a little bit after this season ends, to give everyone a chance to get it.

So we're been asked to pay on the double for 19/20? We have had no games for over 2 months so had no value from our membership for that period. The 19/20 membership should simply be extended to the end of the 19/20 season.

Possibly. But you would want to maximize those minutes no? If a guy is only going to get a 5 minute cameo because he wasn't a starter before the outbreak, why would I want him in my team. I want the 60+ mins a game players.

I'm saying plyers who were starters before the outbreak will get rotated and get the 5 minute cameo anyway, as the managers have 5 transfers to use.

fpl should just carry on imo. We've had 8 or 9ft to use, any extra chips spoil the integrity of it. Fpl towers will do what they want though and unlimited transfers is a good way to create extra buzz for the game. Could well all be irrelevant anyway once infection rates start to rise again

    1. FPL Pillars
      • 7 Years

I like the unlimited transfers, think it’s the right thing to do for the game at this point. Ok with either approach though. Yes the R rate surely to rise, if it’s enough to stop/postpone only time will tell.

Yes that is a good argument against it, but managers who are serious will have BB left anyway. I just think it’ll bring a lot more players back and reinvigorate the idols amongst the game which is the majority who play.

I’d feel for those that went heavy on the Man City/arsenal double game week that have since moved those assets on.

I’m well placed with BB wildcard and free hit left but I wouldn’t be annoyed with unlimited transfers before the first week. Once liverpool win the title those that were patient with a wildcard intact will have a huge advantage. Especially seeing the impact of the 5 subs and which players are playing most game

For the amount you guys are on here (it's all hard core on here now) £17.50 is not much for a year's entertainment. The guys have got to eat, they probably need the cash flow. In a normal season they'd be putting the same message out around now. They should have tested the link first if it doesn't work as some of you are saying.

It seems perfectly clear to me. Non members pay £17.50 and get the rest of this season plus 20/21 season. Members pay £17.50 just for next season. If members pay less than £17.50 then the claim that new members get an an even better deal because it includes the rest of this season is not correct.

      Yeah, correct.

People who sign up now get next season and the last bit of this season for 17.50, giving them more GWs than they would normally get. Existing members have been given the last bit of this season through our extension, and then can sign up for 17.50 for next season if they want to.

Right now it's not possible for existing members to renew until their membership expires - that will be possible (hopefully) from next week. However it isn't strictly necessary, as they will be able to get next season for 17.50 for a time after this season ends, making sure they aren't disadvantaged for having membership already

      1. Wild Rover
        • 13 Years

However you flower it up Geoff, existing members still lose out because they paid for a full season and new members are getting almost 25% of the season free. Not getting upset about it, it's small beans at the end of the day but it's the principle that matters.

Yeah I definitely get that. There are different ways to look at it I understand.

New members signing up now get until June 1 2021, the same as it was advertised last year that members got until June 1 2020. In some ways our extending memberships for existing members for free beyond what had been promised confuses things, as the June 1 to June 1 cycle offers something slightly different this season.

If may even be a good incentive too. I know some people are wondering whether to purchase membership again, but if they were getting close to whatever the magic number is they might decide to go ahead with it. Win-win.

Reply failing since 2010 😀 I ask a question there and don't even know who some of the players I'm referring to were!

Mark's got a 13. Seriously impressive. I'd give anything to slap that down on the table.

That's rubbish. Sutherns had one year above when the numbers came out. I distinctly remember as i was looking to see if anyone had an higher number. He has added a couple there im telling ya 😉

Yep, he was definitely only one ahead of the rest and should be on 11

Nah he was always way ahead - just looked like 1 year because last year (I think it was last year?) nobody had made a badge for anything above 10 because it was believed 9 was the highest. Was corrected a bit ago 🙂

When they first started using badges he was definitely only one year ahead of the pack.

Yep, but his actual number of years was way more. If you hovered your mouse over his name at the time it showed up as 12 years or whatever it was

Distinctively remember because I was the one who nagged Geoff about it 😉

These old layout are far superior imo

                    Much better readability!

My pet peeve is the way modern web ages have dramatically reduced the words per line - its a subtle change, but the way your eye has to constantly switch lines makes reading the articles a pain imo

Its not just FFS by the way - seems to be the way everything has gone due to mobile device usage being the norm rather than the exception

Yep, I liked the sort of classic gent persona as lots of us early posters had sort of themes to them.

It was Malcolm McDowell from If for a while as well. 🙂

And of course Yaya the dullard.

Talking of themes, Holy See was a poster from 9 or 10 years ago who always kept in character.

Oh so I don't actually have unlimited transfers then? Hadn't been on the site in a while.
So once the fixtures and deadline appear it will revert back? Certainly looks like I can do as many as I want haha
