Recapping the best Wolves players ahead of FPL restart

Wolves are offering a healthy number of viable assets for Fantasy Premier League managers, regardless of their chip strategy.

The next few weeks mean that their players could help out those Free Hitting or Bench Boosting in Double Gameweek 30+ or planning for the long-term.

We are currently recapping which players went into the coronavirus (COVID-19) suspension in the best form, using each club’s last six matches for the analysis.

We have also been assessing the impact of recently appointed new managers in the Premier League, so this series covers the other 15 sides, concluding with Wolves.

As we are sure you understand, a lot has changed since the climax of Gameweek 29, with Premier League players unable to fully train with their team-mates for nearly three months.

However, it should still serve to know who was performing best before the break.

As this article uses data from the Fantasy Football Scout Members Area, only those signed up to a valid package can access it in full.

Ok been putting in some time tonight!
Which week to bench boost?? Expecting some praise for thinking outside the box at least.
This week with Leno (city+Brighton A), Lascelles (Sheffield H), Ward (Sou A) And Saka
Wk 33 (all going to plan with WC next week and a few transfers) Krul (Brighton H), Taylor (Sheffield H), Doherty (Arsenal H) and Cantwell.

Obviously the Arsenal guys have two fixtures this week but ones against City!
Tough decision - wk 33 has lots of potential for Pool, Utd, Chelsea, Leicester + assets.
Think I will end up using it this week but only because my substitute keeper gets an extra game! And because our mini league pays out for best overall bench boost score, which is obviously highly likely to be this week with majority of starting 11 all playing twice.

I’d love to use my bench boost GW33 but that would likely mean I’d have to use my WC GW32 which isn’t ideal with the City and Liverpool fixture.

442 in one, see below two teams:

        Henderson
Doherty Stevens O'Connell (or Lundstram if team leak)
        Sterling KDB Grealish Mount
        Aguero Aubameyang Jimenez

        or

        Henderson
        Doherty Stevens Baldock
        Sterling KDB Grealish Pepe
        Aguero Aubameyang

        best one??

Not fully... not sure how else I could set up the defence though... I’d prefer TAA Doherty 1x SHU with Fleck in Midfield but don’t think it is possible??

Thanks yeah it’s a tough one isn’t it, could really pay off...

                What would you choose between:

                1. Doherty Mount
                2. TAA McGinn

                ??

                Also what’s your team mate?

I'd go 1. Not sure on Mcginn, but Mount seems nailed.

I'm on BB this week, WCing in 31+. Currently on the below but thinking through the below options also - I want Doherty for this week but it comes at a price!

                  Leno Henderson
                  TAA Saiss PVA Egan Targett
                  KDB Mahrez Grealish Fleck Cantwell
                  Auba Aguero(c) Jimenez

                  A) Saiss, PVA, Fleck
                  B) Doherty, Lascelles, Norwood
                  C) Saiss, Basham, Mount (triple shef def)

Yeah id love a TAA Doherty double up...

Your team looks good!! not a huge fan of Mahrez due to risk (but that is the case with them all)

Out of your options I'd say A is the best and most balanced!!

Yeah, I agree, have it on A right now. Maybe I'm overlooking the Mahrez risk but his ppg is good and cant afford sterling.

Anyone got any thoughts on the following to round of a BB team:

Aubameyang, McBurnie, Ederson vs Aguero, Samatta, Henderson?

I think the second probably sounds better, but it also involves going 3 Villa 1 Arsenal rather than 2 Villa 2 Arsenal, which feels a bit - odd...

Few 'risky' picks in there. Foremost among them is probably Saka. Just can't see him nailing down the LB spot with Kola & Tierney fit. But Mahrez, Lundy and maybe even Reina could be benched for at least one of the games.

      Otherwise looking good

I think I've settled on a BB team for this coming DGW (...will WC the following week).

I'd really appreciate any comments or suggestions for improvements.

And, of course, I'll be more than willing to offer the same advice for anyone who wants a comment on their team too.

    ................Leno - Ederson
    Egan - TAA - Lascelles - Saiss - Baldock
    KDB - Grealish - McGinn - Fleck - Bruno
    .........Kun - Auba - Abraham
    0.0 ITB

Question marks over McGinn (0.1 short of El Ghazi). Ederson is very expensive and won't get save points. Other than that, I'm pretty happy with it.

Very strong. I like it a lot. Similar to mine (post below yours). I went for Ward instead of Lascelles (both priced at £4.3m) due to palace’s recent defensive form.

Overall, rate the team a lot

I'll be wildcarding straight after this DGW, so I'm only focused on this particular GW. And, Ederson is the only guaranteed route into the City DF

Not a fan sorry. Button needs changing if you’re bench boosting as he doesn’t play.

Do you realise there is a Doubke Game week for Man City/Arsenal/Villa/Shef.U. You have no players from these teams. Make sure you get them in before Wednesday mate!

Not sure fpl will allow you 4 player from Man United. A goalie from a team that has something to play for, Aurier is meh, rotation rusk and spurs conceding a lot under mou. Pukki is nice but not double up. Like the rest of it

I have BB, FH and wildcard left but have already used TC. What’s the best tactic?

Pick a full team of DGWers this week and use BB, then use wildcard next week and save the FH for last game of season?

Use unlimited transfers to get a really strong team for the coming DGW. Play your bench boost.

Then, following GW play your WC and get rid of all the Villa, Shu and some Arsenal & City. Buy some Pool players.

That's my tactic anyway with the same compliment of chips as you

I'd avoid Jota, hes a consistent slow starter

Last 3 spots for my BB - this week only:

    A) Saiss, PVA, Fleck
    B) Doherty, Lascelles, Norwood
    C) Saiss, Basham, Mount (triple shef def)

      A or B, leaning to B.

Cheers. I'm definitely leaning towards avoiding the Shef defensive triple up. Going B also means i wont lose value on Doherty for WC next week.

I do think PVA could be a great differential tho!

      C. Sheffield’s defence has been much better than their attack all season

True... Lots of eggs in one basket though, no? Doherty (or PVA for that matter) could outscore all 3 shef defenders with a couple of attacking returns

Thinking of going with Option B here.
FH this GW. WC + BB later.

    Current team-
    Pope.
    TAA, Maguire, Saiss.
    KDB, Fernandes, Salah, Barnes.
    Auba, Jota, DCL.
    Stekelenberg, Stephens, Holgate, Dendoncker.
    3.2m ITB.
    WC, FH, BB left.

Option A- BB this week with unlimited transfers.
Squad will be spread out. Most people are going with this strategy it seems.

Option B- FH this GW. Keep my current team for next GW.
Good fixtures for most of my current team next GW and plenty of players I am happy to keep atm..
    FH team something like-
    Hendo.
    Lundstram, Stevens, Bellerin, Alonso.
    Sterling, KDB, Grealish, Mount.
    Auba, Aguero,
    Subs. Samatta, Cantwell.

Sorting out the last FH spots:
    1. TAA + Mount
    2. TAA + Fleck
    3. Doherty + any 7.3 or less mid

    Thoughts?

Want a Chelsea mid but finding it impossible to pick one. Mount seems most nailed but has no end product. Was pulisic injured/out of favour/both? Is Tammy the safest option?

Secondly were playing this week blind without pressers for most. Some talk of Jiminez having a baby due any day now. Could this see him pulled from first team action? Or just accept that it would be ridiculously bad luck if it happened?

Tammy is the best option from Chelsea imo. Jimenez baby not due until July.

Cheers. The only draft I'm happy with that contains Tammy, doesn't have Aguero. Angling for a Chelsea mid but seems another lottery.

It would be foolish not to at the least be aware of the jimi baby arrival, although not due until July they do come early. Not a good enough reason to get rid if you’ve got value in him for example. With the fixture Tammy looks a great prospect this week. Desperately hoping my rival can’t afford him on his bench boost. Pulisic and Mount could work very well imo.

    A) Alonso Lascelles Fleck or
    B) Doherty Egan Cantwell

B would mean triple SU defence..
    With both optiins nothing ITB.

    Thanks.
