    I know what’s happening next.

Will bring in Richarlison for Son next week snd Richarlison will not score again to seasons end.

    But I'll still do it....sigh

I also know what’s happening next.

After benching two GW hauls, will start Areola for the 1/2pts vs BHA and bench Dubravka for the haul vs Liverpool

    or

    B. Get in Nkunku for Haaland

Quite a varied season right? No team really able to keep consistent form and lots of very unexpected results?

Wonder if there are stats on most number of league position changes across the whole table - this season must be close to leading, at this stage in the season?

    1. Thomas Magnum
      • 8 Years

Although it makes FPL more difficult it certainly makes keeping up with the league more enjoyable as a neutral.
I wonder what has lead to this season being so unpredictable…

Agreed, don't support any PL team (although have some favourites), but this season is most interesting in a while.

I'd say four, five or even six clubs could win the title?

How did your last two Gameweeks go?

You can share your tales of joy and woe here.

    1. The Big Fella

Rough: two blanks for captains (Watkins and Salah respectively).

Smooth: Being a top, top manager and not one of the casuals I knew GW17 was not the week to bring in Solanke and brought him in for GW18 enjoying 4 goals since then.

Rough: Salah (C) and the main differentials (Leno, Gross, Bailey) all blanked. Areola on the bench too!

Smooth: Gusto off the bench for Haaland (who I held but likely need to sell anyway now).

Rough: Son (C) + Odegaard had the potential to fire me into a 3 digit OR. In the end it was a huge let down.

      Smooth: Small green arrow.

Rough: Areola rubbing in my mistaken transfer. Gabriel and Archer on the bench last week

Smooth: getting in Solanke and Archer over Gabriel to play this week. Top of my ML by a point.

      Smooth
Unexpected Darwin and Raya points along with Porro continuing to get assists in GW19. The Solanki haul saved my GW18.

      Rough
      Double Newcastle defence in GW18.

GW18 slightly rougher than GW19 was smooth. But still doing ok!

Rough: Martinez in goal. 4 points in total against SHU and MUN with Areola's 18 points lying wasted on my bench

Smooth: Well, nearly everything else! 132 points across the two GWs, some fun differentials working out, in contention for December's monthly prize, into the top 10k for the first time this season after languishing at around 700k post GW11 - Isn't FPL supposed to be more frustrating than this?!

      GW18: 53 points, with 33 on the bench (8, 7, 10 and 8)

Had a great Xmas. Was at 5.4m GW13 after sliding from 1.6m in GW7! Since the abandoned game when I brought in Solanke for Haaland for a hit, and then had no subs so lost four points overall and my match points, everything has taken a turn for the better. My bad luck definitely bottomed out at that point.

Four green arrows over Xmas, six in last seven, and I'm up to 3.2m OR and narrowed my mini-league gap from 130 to 90. All 1/2/3m GW ranks over Xmas with a great GW18 of 343k being the highlight. Son(vc), kept Areola, Haaland out for Solanke has done great, it's all worked out for me.

Still lots to do but I'm up and running. Need a Salah(c) haul this week as the league leader doesn't have him!

      Smooth:
GW18: Sold Darwin (1) for Solanke (17) and captained Solanke (17)
GW19: Sold Tsimikas (-) for Doughty, who scored a goal! (7)

      Rough:
GW19: Looking to repeat my glory, I sold Palmer (-) for Richarlison (1) and captained him over Son (5) and Solanke (6)

      Rough
gw18, Watkins cap Gabriel on bench 80% red arrow with 34pts

gw19, Saka(c) and somehow blanked, in which i think is the 3rd or 4th time this season i went against the most popular captain pick that blanked only to watch my own differential captain pick fail too after they played

      Smooth
gw19, Hwang the hero helping me to 45pts and an 11% green arrow

Not a massive fan of Arsenal defence of late, got them in because everyone seemed to have Arsenal cover. Tempted by Gabriel > Estu myself (always wanted him back for that January run of fixtures) and well, got punished last week by benching Gabriel because he scores anyone who started him for a cleanie vs Liverpool is crazy, then I started him this week, EXPECTING West Ham to score but didn't wanna get punished again and instead Semenyo got 5 points on my bench, Gabriel got 1. Can't write it!

Yesterday (and most of the season) Arsenal defenders were considered as close to being essential as you could be, and yet after the WHM game the consensus seems to be sell? Why is that?

Lost 2-0 to WHM at home, 2 CS in 9, prices have risen (decreasing value)

No chance for me. You know how flaky FPL managers are.

Their defence has been quite unreliable (in FPL terms). Any time I've played or benched Gabriel, he's almost always done the opposite of what was needed. 2x Arsenal CBs is off-putting when there's quite a few attacking fullbacks out there.

Arsenal defence double up was on the cards 12 houra ago. Now they wanna sell all their Arsenal defenders. Fickleness of majority FPL managers in a nutshell.

      Recency bias.

      Because the cheapest way into Arsenal's back line is Gabriel at 5.0, they've kept one clean sheet in their last six, two in their last 11. They aren't exactly scoring (goals or FPL points);

Saliba 5.6; has four returns in the last 11.
Zinchenko 5.2; has five returns in last 11.
White 5.6; has three returns in last 11.
Gabriel 5.0; has three returns in last 11.

So none of them are returning every other game with the exception of Zinchenko who isn't even nailed (26 mins vs Luton, 63 vs West Ham, 17 vs Newcastle).

      So why go for those players when you can have cheaper and fund a better front 8 (as well as having Trent &/or Trippier);
Gusto, Mykolenko, Cash/Digne, Senesi, Doughty, Estu, Brainthwaite

    Dubravka
    Pau TAA Porro Gabriel
    Saka Son Salah Palmer
    Darwin Watkins

    Turner Archer Diaby Taylor

0.9 ITB. Confused what I should do here?
    A) Diaby > Grealish
    B) Diaby > Richa
    C) Darwin > Solanke
    D) Something else?

    Help please.
    A) Lascelles > Gabriel ( bench gordon or trippier v liverppol )
    B) Save FT so i have 2FT next week to take Son & Salah out

    Martinez
    TAA / Porro / Trippier
    Salah / Saka / Palmer / Son / Gordon
    Watkins / Alvarez

    Bench: Areola, Archer, Lascelles, Bell.

Interesting how very few people are including DGW players in their WC drafts

When can we expect these DGW's? Is there a chance they could be a while a way yet?

It'd be easier for PL to flog refixed City game if Haaland was fit to play.

    thought on this WC team?

    Dubrvka Turner
    TAA Gabriel Porro Gusto Branthwaite
    Saka Salah Bowen Palmer Foden
    Alvarez Watkins Solanke

    1.4mITB

was set on ditching Salah, but dont see many attractive midfield option so may as well keep at least for this week

Don’t think there is any point keeping Salah if he misses 3-4 games

yeah but i think worth keeping for next week at least and hopefully there is a clearer option

Looks good. Not sold on Alvarez but there's not a pile of form strikers available other than Watkins and Solanke while Haaland is out. Could update a keeper. Apparently Newcastle interested in Johnstone, emphasis on apparently.

Presume the other two will be TAA & Porro?

Play Gusto I reckon, Fulham have a goal in them...
