    Is it crazy to go without Haaland this week?

      Probably - I can see City battering Everton.

      Only if you are bringing Pool attacker, that can outscore Haaland. Will be a tough watch though, get him for his upcoming double too

    Bottomed. Evening all. How’s this for a -4?

    Estupiñan > Branthwaite
    Gordon > Neto
    Solanke > Haaland

    Would leave 0.0 ITB and give me 3 x City / 3 x Liverpool players.

    Thoughts on the following -8

    Alvarez, Solanke, Porro >> Haaland (c), Darwin, Van Hecke

    Hits don't look good on paper but helps field 10-11 in the GW26 Blank. Currently have 6-7 non-starters so need to start offloading.

    During that week Porro blanks and Solanke plays City. Also allows me to keep Watkins and get Jota next week too.

    Current team:
    Dubravka
    TAA Estupinan Porro (Gusto Taylor)
    Rich KDB Foden Saka Palmer
    Alvarez Watkins (Solanke)

        Can't afford sadly, and would be tough to sell Rich.

        Van Hecke move frees up extra funds to do Rich > Jota next week.

        Do you prefer Van Hecke or Branthewaite btw?

            Maguire is a great shout, reckon he'l be nailed?

            Also if I did sell Richarlison for Jota this week the difference in my starting XI this GW would be:

            A.) Darwin (Bur H) & Richarlison (Bri H)
            B.) Jota (Bur H) & Watkins (Mun H)

            Which do you prefer for this GW only? Thanks for your help!

              Pretty sure he'll be nailed - Martinez out for 8 weeks and was nailed before the injury - since coming back he's now started two in a row. Never convinced on MUN defence but fixtures of LUT, FUL, EVE, SHU (tbc) not bad in the next 6.

              Of your two I think I'd lean A actually.

    Estu to TAA or VVD for a hit?
    Reckon it will pay off in next 2 weeks?

    It will give me 5 mci/pool for dgw and a hit is needed to play xi in gw26. So rather take it now than later, don't want to miss a liv def coverage?

    Not a fan of early transfers but have exact funds for Bowen -> Jota tonight, before predicted Bowen drops and Jota rises. Also would still have 1FT to roll or deal with potential injuries. Worth the gamble?

    Bowen Foden Saka Palmer (Hinshelwood)
    Haaland Watkins Solanke

    A. Possible 5 DGW players in GW25 playing after making my GW24 transfer this evening with Haaland coming in for Solanke.

    B. BGW I have 9 players in GW26 certain my other two to get 11 playing are
    concerns on Estupiñán (who is now not certain starter) & Pau (Ankle injury - 50% chance of playing)

    ---
    Would you rather go;

    1. GW25 go for another DGW player giving a possibility of 6 DGW players & then possible transfer out Pau in GW26 with fingers cross that Estupinan players.

    or

    2. GW25 transfer out Pau & then possible GW26 transfer out Estupinan to have 11 starters in GW26?

    I think what we all need to wrestle with now is just how many DGWers is enough. Getting too many Liverpool may make things difficult in GW26 when we have Chelsea and Spurs players who may also blank (unless their fixture goes into the midweek slot). I'd rather have 11 in GW26 than a 3rd Liverpool player for example. It might even be worthwhile having 2FT's in GW26.

    1. Tonyawesome69
      • 5 Years

      I have no issues taking hits in 26 for players that play in both BGW26 and 29

        I'm not going to commit to the GW29 strategy yet. It may be more beneficial to use the FH in GW29 to have the very best team up until then and beyond.

        1. Tonyawesome69
          • 5 Years

          Might be more upside in 34/37

            Possibly. If your team is already in a good place for GW29 then it would make sense to keep the FH in the back pocket. The trouble is, we won't really know until GW27. Keeping 2FT's that GW could help get you over the line with a half decent side.

              Yup team dependant. If Villa beat Chelsea in FAC R4 replay (before 24 deadline) Arsenal v Chelsea will go ahead in BGW29 and make it easier to navigate without FH for my team

        Yeah I'm in the same boat. I have 2 each already so maybe just a 3rd city (Rodri or Gvardiol?). I'm actually not sure if I should even get the 3rd City option. It's not inspiring.

      Have 3 City now and unfortunately zero Liverpool
      Debate will be 1 or 2 Liverpool for me
      Not convinced on TAA in terms of value and with Bradley playing so well and so it's probably Jota and/or Darwin

        Thats a good position to be in. Salah may be back but I'm guessing you'll be priced out (as am I). I have TAA but I'm guessing he'll be up to speed by GW25 and shouldn't have any issues remaining. Darwin/Jota are less guaranteed for two starts.

      I agree tbh. I love KDB, but at that price the 3 points for assists vs. goals is an important consideration. For me I will likely sell to Salah when he's fully back.

      I think you need to get Haaland now, yes. Everton at home then a double. The only debate is whether to captain.

    Final decision before logging off.

    Best cheap defender, only really need them in GW 25 & 26

    A.) Branthwaite (Cry H, Bri A)
    B.) Van Hecke (Shu A, Eve H)

    Basically comes down to who is more likely to keep a cleansheet in Brighton vs Everton.

    Dubravka
    Trippier Porro Estupinan
    KDB Foden Richarlison Saka Palmer
    Haaland Watkins

    Archer Konsa Branthwaite - 1 FT, 1.0M ITB

    Not really sure if I should save FT here or not. Saka to Jota could be a shout?

      Could pay off but high risk given ownership.

      Saka also has Burnley and Sheffield in the next 4, plus he plays in blank GW26

      Wouldn't lose Saka. I'd probably save. Target the double.

    Areola
    Porro TAA Trippier
    Saka Richarlison Foden Palmer
    Solanke Haaland Watkins

    Turner Garnacho Zinchenko Lascelles

    2FT

    Solanke to Darwin this week and roll the other transfer and then Porro + Richarlison to Walker + Jota next week. Thoughts? I only have 0.1m leeway in my transfers though so might have to be aggresive with the early transfers.

    How vital do we reckon triple pool will be for this double.

    Small gain this week with 74 points. Mind-blowing. Up to 764K.

    Forward planning thought process. Any holes? All transfers are for free. Not a single hit required. Kinda thinking out loud here, sorry.
    GW24;
    Porro > Richards

    GW25;
    Semenyo > JPedro
    TC Haaland

    BGW26;
    Trent > Moreno

    GW27;
    Bowen > Saka

    GW28;
    BB
    Richards & J. Pedro > Senesi & Solanke

    BGW29;
    FH

    GW30;
    Saka > Son

    GW31;
    WC, Bring in the likes of Gabriel, Salah, Toney and triple Wolves, team would look like:
    Dubravka/Areola
    Trippier, Gabriel, Estupinan, Doughty, Udogie
    Salah, KDB, Gordon, Palmer, Hee Chan
    Haaland, Toney, Cunha

      smooth: richa, foden, watkins, almost at 100k

      rough: flekken and branthwaite on my bench

      Captained Solanke, consistent with my perma-fail captains this season.

      Own Watkins and Foden, so only got a small red, which I'm utterly delighted with.

      Rough: Gross & Branthwaite nailed to my bench, Gabriel OG

      Smooth: Foden turned up massively, and offset Gross’s points from any man in my midfield in then (7 point loss maximum)

      Rough = 1 point combined from GK + defence is laughable and I managed to captain my only attacker not to return (Solanke)

      Smooth = Garnacho haul felt really good, have felt really unlucky to not get points since I brought him in. Also felt justified in holding off on Haaland this week as I would have benched one of Foden or Garnacho

      Rough
      no Rich, Tripps or Foden and benched Flekken and Bratwaite, but played Gabriel whose -1pt meant i get a tiny red arrow with 73pts (safety 74 lol)

      Smooth
      Palmer(c) Garnacho, Watkins, Saka, KDB and Haaland all getting me points

      Rough - FOMO-induced last-minute transfer of Gross for Gordon

      Rough: Konsa 59 min CS denied, bench Gross.

      Smooth: Watkins, Saka, Trips. Most importantly after outplaying Liverpool 3 times, we finally get our deserved win! 🙂

      Smooth. Sold Nunez, benched and yellow
      Kept Watkins
      Haaland and KDB started

      Rough. Whole defence, benched Garnacho (outcome is only rough as never thought to play him)
      2 points less than a green.

      This week with 4 playing on Monday felt a slog but I more or less stood still. Relief.

      Rough: Solanke captain, Foden benched, my heavy defense got 3 points in total, No Watkins or Richarlison. I keep sinking down the rank. Sign!

      Smouth: at least my transfer in (Maddison) got an assist.

      Smooth: Richy, Foden, Watkins, Palmer

      Smooth : Richarlison rewarding

      Smooth zilch

      Rough - Defence

      Only rough. Sold Watkins and Foden, brought Jota in late on for -4, captained Toney, Olise injured again, Neto somehow only ending up on 4pts. All things relative I'd say it's my worst ever GW

      Rough: Trent, Dubravka, Solanke, Alvarez

      Smooth: Foden (C), Watkins, Richa, benched Gabriel for Moreno last minute

      114 all out and from 380k to 99k proves just how possible it is to still gain rank at the moment, so hope for us all. I was 2.1mil in GW16.

      Rough; My run of seven greens on the spin finally comes to an end with a 3k red due to the City game! Foden hurt me. 66 points and a 3m GW rank. Seven 1-2 pointers even a -1 from Gab didn't help.

      Smooth; Watkins>Haaland would've been a mistake, I dodged a bullet there. Richy, Palmer(c), Saka my only returns. Two FTs this week again.

      Rough:

      Sold Martinelli (10) for Rodri (2)
      And Doughty only got an assist for 3 points on the day, half his average since I bought him in GW19

    Remarkably a small red despite owning Watkins and Foden 1 FT, 1.4 ITB.

    A) KDB>Garnacho, Solanke>Haaland(c) for -4 (exact change)
    B) Solanke>Darwin FT (bench Alvarez)
    C) Roll

      That’s the sacrifice I guess, and losing Trent is way worth it to have KDB & Haaland, I like having them both anyway. May just opt for Tripper instead of TAA.

    I think I may be the only active player without: Watkins, Saka, Richarlison, or Foden (benched him for Jota last minute 🙂 ). Top it off with going Burn over Moreno with my double transfer to get KDB in. Anyone do worse? Please someone regale me with a benched hattrick to make me feel better
