      Whether or not someone does a good shot does not affect the xG. So why is xG consistently defined as 'quality of shot'. Confusing at best.

          Something like that would be more descriptively true, for sure. Even Opta can't define it accurately based on what I can find, though I don't know where to find official definitions. Does my nut in listening to Tifo trying to talk about, and explain, expected data.
