    Tinkered some more. Yeah, my three forwards are going to require tough choices and my other defense is pretty putrid, but I managed to shoehorn VvD into this team, as well...

      think I'd downgrade Bilva I guess, but he could be a nice pick - I'd def get a 4.0 keeper and upgrade the 5th mid to 6.0

        There are no playing 4.0 keepers and I'm leery of going with just a 4.5 as a set-and-forget...

        Bilva is basically my one remaining City cover, so I'd like to give him a try until I do what I usually do, which is WC in GW4 and get Sterling in, just to have him blank for a month.

      Not bad at all. You could pick one of your gks to keep in goal and change the other to a 4m gk, this would give you another 0 5m to try and improve your defence

      If you're happy to gamble (which you seem to be!) why not go a step further and replace both Heaton (with a £4M) and McGinn (with a £4.5M) and upgrade Bilva to De Bruyne. If De Bruyne's back to his best he's worth 50 points over Bilva in a season. And you won't have lost much bench-wise . . .

      Ritchie is a no go. Prefer Heaton or Hendo to Ryan especially with Duffy. Midfield is strong, love Vardy and maybe Ings but not keen on King. 🙂

          I would most likely do King - 4.5, Moura - Fraser, and Dendoncker to Trossard.

          But that is just me.

          He's been involved in exactly 1 of his team's last 12 goals. Had him in my team for a long time but I feel better with Wood. Happy going with just Fraser.

    Just gonna put this out there... Was tempted to stay away from here and not do FF for the 2nd year but really enjoying this site atm. Feel like I'm getting more respect than before and having laughs instead of dull convoys, probs due to my Sheff U knowledge but yh.           yeah i'd say so, can definitely do better than Robinson & Ings.
          I know how cool it is though with the allure of three premiums, and i've done it with some balance to sides, but honestly it's sooo much better with just two to start with, feels more certain and flexible.

        Id ditch Auba. Too expensive. Ars is a wait and see for me. Might even lose pens. Heard Pepe scored lime 9 pens last season and Pierre is terrible at them.

      Any attacking returns from Trent / VVD / Robbo are gonna feel so anti-climactic because of their ownership. From an enjoyment perspective, I'm so tempted to just go with one of them but I know I'll regret it.

      That's where I'm at currently, bit concerned it will take time for Kean to find his feet though but may be a punt worth taking that he hits the ground running. Not set in stone for me though, could change numerous times before deadline.

    Greenwood is a trap. Does no one remember previous cheap forward disasters and how difficult it was to get them out when you wanted to bring in another forward?

      Far better value in defenders and mids than the 6m forwards, so makes sense to go with one 4.5 forward. Simple transfer or two to upgrade a forward from that price anyway i'd imagine.

        I would disagree. At least someone like Hayden will get you 2 points and the occasional assist if you need him from 2nd / 3rd bench spot. Greenwood you'll be happy with 1 point.
        I'd also take the likes of Wood, King, Ings before Perez, Barkley, Redmond any day.

          I do see your points, even inclined to agree, i just think for the start some sacrifices have to be made, i've not even got Greenwood., bu i can understand how he makes a useful makeshift to benefit elsewhere to begin the season.
