Congratulations to Adam Levy, world number one

Fantasy Football Scout member Adam Levy has, as expected, finished first in the overall Fantasy Premier League rankings and topped both of our FPL leagues as a result.

The winning margins in each case have yet to be determined as the game is still in the process of updating but Adam’s 71-point return in Gameweek 38 meant that he finished on 2,659 points, just short of the record set by former winner Jon Reeson in 2009/10.

Adam came into Gameweek 38 with a 60-point advantage over world number two Falah Allawati and in truth, his lead has looked almost unassailable for some weeks now.

Ahead of Sunday’s matches, Adam was 94 and 72 points ahead of second place in our members’ and free-to-all leagues respectively.

Adam’s Midas touch continued in Gameweek 38 as he shipped out Raul Jimenez (£6.9m) and Son-Heung min (£8.6m) for Sergio Aguero (£12.0m) and Nathan Redmond (£5.5m).

Redmond, Aguero, Trent Alexander-Arnold (£5.8m), Christian Eriksen (£9.2m), Aymeric Laporte (£6.3m), Raheem Sterling (£11.7m) and Andrew Robertson (£6.7m) all returned clean sheets and/or attacking points for him today, with only four players blanking.

    Well done Adam!

    Also big thanks to anyone on here I engaged daft questions with or swapped advice with.

    I ended up winning all my ML's with the biggest one won by 1 point after clawing back a 13 point gap, so absolutely made up. Made it just outside the top 10k and my FPL season ever with 2379!

    Thanks again and hope everyone had similar successes in their ML's.

      I think around 2410. My target was 2400 to be in 5K, got 2406 and will be on 5.7K

      I scored 2440 which got me to 2154 OR, so its pretty congested around that mark. A good/bad final day would have been significant. I scored 78 today and moved up about 1000 places.

      Indeed. It’s why I didn’t understand the FML FPL guys going on about not understanding ML because it’d be over by Xmas.

      If you have a competitive ML it can be insanely neck and neck

        There was 12pts between 1st & 3rd for circa £1500 in mine at start of play. 3rd place was nowhere until he triple captained Salah vs Huddersfield a few GWs back.

        Sorry didn't mean to! I was just eagerly waiting for the update because that's the shortest GW ever and many calculations are still ongoing at liveFPL that usually take place overnight after the first day. So, I didn't trust it will be as accurate this particular GW.

        I will hibernate for a while and then see what's up for next season.

      Marks a different breed. He does these moves and they usually pay off and the great thing is he continues to do them and isn’t content on where he is.. he keeps pushing for that next level

      It’s something I wanna implement. I get into the high ranks and freeze and go from being differential to being boring.

      Well done. No jealousy here. Good to hear of someones success. Mucho respect. Happy with my season, 2468 points and 864 OR and 4th in FPL Chess and won "The great north" league.

            I think that's what's frustrating - I've gone with my instincts a lot this year. Made a good reason for Mane then backed out of it to essentially block a mini league.

            Bit gutted that it was that close in the end! I'd have preferred to have missed out by 20+

              Maybe it goes down the lines of what FPL general said the other week.. when you’re in the spotlight you can start to overthink things as you’re mulling more and more options over.

              You almost swayed me with the Mane thing with your stream the other night.

              But on another day you make top 10k and Mane blanks.. so don’t beat yourself up on it.

              Also while you’re here..the weight loss is so impressive! Keep it up. You look a lot healthier and that’s way more important than fpl ! 🙂

    Cheers all.. ended up 17k.. leaving FH for the last GW worked wonders with 80pts. Don't know if I'll save it this late next season. Used my first WC pretty late in the season which meant that I used my second late as well. Will probably use my first earlier next season.

    Thank you FFS and its community for another fantastic season. Your insight, advice and stats make this game much more fun and interesting.
    A few people asked here today if the membership is recommended, and I would say definitely it is.
    Despite an awful day today (44pts) I’m happy to achieve my second top 10k finish. Can’t wait for the pre-season planning!
