    & if I went 5-4-1 or 5-3-2 this GW I wouldn't be entirely mad.

    Anyone considering Nketiah?

      On a wildcard, and yes.

But I’ve gone with Ramsdale, Ode, and Saka. No room at the inn.

Good option, though. I do feel he’s one bad game from a benching, however.

So is Ramsdale, with Raya waiting in the wings.

Disagree. Raya has just arrived, Ramsdale has been at the club and done exceptionally well for 2 years.

Think it will take a little more than a bad game, personally.

He converts way too less, gets in good positions and misses plenty of chances. Frustrating to watch him as an owner.

It could go either way and yes i agree, I think he is one bad game away from benching too.

      Try Alvaraz and Wissa instead.

Not too sure I'd do it now. Unsure when Jesus is due back but he was due to be out for "a few weeks" at the very beginning of August. There's an IB after GW4 so you could well have Nketiah for just 2 games and find him back on the bench after that. Arsenal's GW5 fixture isn't until Sept 16th so it's just shy of a month away

Thinking of just moving on Martinelli to Foden and rolling the other transfer, would leave me with below - thoughts?

    Onana
    Colwill / Chilwell / Estupinan
    Saka / Rashford / Fernandes / Foden / Eze
    Haaland / Watkins

    Turner / Gabriel / Baldock / Mubama

    leaves 0.5 ITB

not particularly! Just that Forest fixture staring me in the face.

But I would be looking at moving rash / bruno on next week as not keen to have the double up vs arsenal.

      Extremely tough decision.

Akanji is cheaper, and more versatile.

Dias more nailed. If you can squeeze the 0.5 up I’d go him.

How nailed is Alvarez for next 2 GWs ? Looking for 6.5m or under Forward until International Break. Probably using WC then.

You’d imagine he’s nailed. Played 90 mins both games, and only missed Super Cup due to a small injury.

New signing Doku will surely be given time.

I guess the only thing to add into the equation is the return of Bilva and the really good performance by Foden could demote Alvarez to the bench.

I personally think he will play and is a tremendous option.

Two reasons: more than likely nailed given is quick incorporation into the team combined with his price, and two we never know who will get clean sheets and I think banking on City is the safest option in the game.

Started with Foden and without Mitoma and Mbeumo. Transferred Foden out for Maddison after Game week 1 as City didn’t look sharp in game week 1

Maddison gets injured and Foden gets a haul. Bit of a meh start to the season. Serves me right for point chasing.

Much the same here. Had Maddison all week before GW1, moved to Odegaard. Moved Odegaard to Maddison last week, Ode 11pter and Maddison likely injured. Lots of potential issues this week but I'm just holding onto my team now and avoiding kneejerking

Which is the most priority move

A- baldock to Chilwell (play 4-5-1 & pedro on bench)
    B- Pedro to Alvarez
    C- Pedro to wissa
    D- Pedro to Jackson

Last 3 options mean no Chilwell which I don't really like, but I'm not eager to sell saliba Or akanji right now

Exactly. Until the European tournaments begin it's hard to predict rotation. And which players will be rotated out of the PL teams in order to prioritise UCL/UL.

Brighton as much as Arsenal. Although both managers seem to like to tinker 'based on the opposition'.

I just think Burnley could get a goal and all the others are at home.

There's Gabriel in his last chance saloon too.

I'm annoyed with myself because i had Saliba all summer but the Community Shield with Gabriel up for corners and Saliba and Timber on the halfway line convinced me to switch to Gabriel for 'attacking returns'.

I guess Arteta didn't want to dress rehearse the Partey inverted role against Pep because of the copying angle and Man City being a better attacking team.

      Hold.
You could gamble by starting Gabriel ahead of Pedro. He's 'turned down' interest from Real Madrid, and Tomiyasu is out, so he may well start at home to Fulham. Zinc not match fit yet.

I don't think it's possible to say who os preferred for Brighton just yet.

Both Enciso and Pedro are good players but offer different things to the team.

Pedro has played 120 mins+ so far so isn't marginalised. It's still early season.

The atmosphere last night was a bit timid for Palace and it's not full throttle yet.

Eze to Mbeumo is probably the right move to make.

Wissa in for either Jackson or Pedro.
      Then March/Mitona for Garnacho.

Who to offload between: Gabriel, Eze, Pedro, Chilwell
    And best replacements?

Gabriel and Pedro out of those, I think Eze has been unlucky not to haul yet and Chilwell has looked very dangerous. For a Gabriel replacement I'd consider Akanji or Gvardiol

I'd keep Pedro and switch Eze first.

Brighton a much better team and Pedro will play.

Eze almost trying to hard or to go it alone.

If Enciso is fit, Pedro is very unlikely to start whereas Eze is 100% nailed.

It will soon be time to buy Newcastle defenders and Botman is still a steal at 4.5m.

Presumably considering getting rid of Chilwell to raise funds and bring in Colwill/Gusto instead? But neither is on the same page as Chilwell for attacking threat.

    Which one guys?

    A) Wissa (own Mbuemo) + 4.5 mid and play 4-3-3

    B) Semenyo + Mitoma/March and play 3-5-2

    Thanks in advance

Many thanks for your response. Semenyo would just be fodder really so I can play Mitoma in a 3-5-2.

I’m thinking that Mbuemo could cover Wissa

I would say Henry short term not long term.

Next 5 fixtures include CRY, BOU, EVE, shu. Only new in the middle as downside.

CHE have good fixtures too - but the teams they are due to play are saying the same thing!

Have Gabriel and Pedro to look at getting out as well. Perhaps March in and Pedro to Alvarez for -4

sounds like Pedro isnt a great trainer judging by de zerbis comments. will be interesting to see if him or wellbeck ends up as the striker used primarily for europa league

    1. Andy_Social

De Zerbi uses Pedro as a #10, not a striker. He's got Ferguson for that.

ok but when pedro came on it was for wellbeck. and de zerbi specifically talked about him needing to score more. dont see ensico being dropped now either

      Ferguson and Welbeck.
Pedro playing as a #10 and De Zerbi said Enciso was the best player on the pitch.

Brigthon will take the Europa League very seriously though.

That would be the tipping point.

Players from clubs like Man United, Chelsea etc get talked up a lot because they have lots of fans. So they are given more time over say a Brighton team who look a lot better.

Yes really. He's looked strong when he has come on. Tomiyasu banned, and Zinchenko not match fit. Arteta brought Gabriel on long before Kiwior.

That said, having seen your bench, I would probably get rid.

    Sanchez
    Chilwell Saliba Estu
    Saka Ode Mbeumo Foden
    Wissa Haaland Jackson

    Areola Jota Udogie Rico

    1. Would you rather have wissa or alverez over the next 3 GW? Or perhaps interchange them?

    2. Downgrade Rico to upgrade Gk to 5-5.5 players?

Johnstone is a good enough option at 4.5m. No need to spend 5.5m. (although CRY no longer rotate with CHE after GW4)
