Ever won £10,000 in one Gameweek? You can do just that with Fantasy5 – and you won’t have to pay a penny to enter.

Simply pick five players from the nominated Gameweek 2 matches below and, if they all exceed their ‘points targets’ (a par score set by Fantasy5 for each asset), you’ll be in the money.

If the jackpot isn’t enough of an incentive, there are various other prizes given out every week.

You can even set up a mini-league and compete with colleagues, friends and family for bragging rights.

We’ve selected our own picks for Gameweek 2 in the article below, with Ted Talks FPL following suit.

HOW DOES FANTASY5 WORK?

Fantasy Five Banner

Fantasy5 is easy to play as it follows the exact same scoring system as FPL, just without the bonus points.

It’s also the fastest media outlet for live Fantasy points, displaying all player points from the five games in question, as well as the live score and time.

For the more detailed lowdown, head here.

The competition is limited to one entry per person per round and selections must be submitted before kick-off of the first eligible match.

If two or more entrants correctly select five players who all score more than their points target, then the prize pot is split among all winners.

GAMEWEEK 2 FIXTURES

The five matches in this round of fixtures are:

  • Leeds United v Everton
  • Brighton and Hove Albion v Watford
  • Southampton v Manchester United
  • Wolverhampton Wanderers v Tottenham Hotspur
  • Chelsea v Arsenal

The deadline is at 15:00 GMT on Saturday, August 21.

SCOUT’S GAMEWEEK 2 PICKS

  1. Richarlison: A second-half switch to a central role against Southampton transformed Richarlison and Everton’s fortunes in Gameweek 1. Much has been made of Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s potential for prospering in a side that seems intent on crossing at will but the Brazilian is pretty handy in air, too. He’ll be up against a Leeds side that displayed a soft underbelly at Old Trafford, conceding more chances from central positions than any other side in the division.
  2. Ismaila Sarr: The Watford winger was among the top three midfielders for both chances created and penalty area touches in Gameweek 1, also having three shots of his own in the win over Aston Villa. Brighton aren’t quite at their watertight best just yet thanks to a pre-season filled with departures, injuries and illness, and the sight of Pascal Gross at left-back underscored that uncertainty at the back.
  3. Mason Greenwood: Classified as a midfielder in Fantasy5 this week, Greenwood needs a goal and assist to beat his points target in Gameweek 2. Southampton’s defence is the worst in the Premier League in 2021 and let’s not forget what happened the last time these two sides met in February…
  4. Lucas Moura: With Harry Kane’s match fitness seemingly still an issue, Spurs look set to line up with the same front three that prospered against Manchester City on Sunday. The Brazilian really impressed against the reigning champions, registering three goal attempts and as many key passes. A Wolves defence playing a high line looks an ideal match-up for the Lilywhites’ fast-breaking attacking trio.
  5. Romelu Lukaku: Backing the big Belgian to hit the ground running with two goals is a tall order but the new Chelsea number nine’s track record for early-season form is eye-catching. Arsenal’s rickety high defensive line – should they trial it again – looks ready-made for the former Inter Milan striker’s predatory instincts.

TED’S GAMEWEEK 2 PICKS

Pick the best Gameweek 2 players for a free chance to win £10k with Fantasy5

  1. Dominic Calvert-Lewin: Rafael Benitez’s intentions were made clear in GW1; get the ball to DCL! Everton are up against a Leeds side that were one of the worst teams for shots conceded last season and are licking their wounds after a five-goal thrashing from Man Utd.
  2. Jakub Moder: Third amongst midfielders for expected assists (xA) and eighth for expected goal involvement (xGI) in Gameweek 1, Moder definitely has some attacking threat. A first home game for Brighton this season against a newly promoted Watford side will surely yield a positive result.
  3. Jadon Sancho: Sancho has the lowest target out of the main Manchester United outfielders and faces a Saints side who desperately need reinforcements. This will most likely be Sancho’s first start for his new club and he will be keen to make an impression.
  4. Sergio Reguilon: Spurs kept a clean sheet in Gameweek 1 against arguably the most attacking side in the league and will look to replicate that feat against Wolves in Gameweek 2. Reguilon certainly has some assist potential, too.
  5. Kai Havertz: Havertz ended last season well for Chelsea and had a successful EURO 2020 campaign, picking up a few goals. He’ll be looking to continue this run of form against Arsenal in Gameweek 2 after his seven-minute Gameweek 1 cameo (due to a two-hour Super Cup run-around last Wednesday).

    Few last slots on WC:

    A) Lukaku and Sarr
    B) Mahrez/Son and DCL

    6m for a defender:

    1) Stones
    2) Chilwell

      You shot the wildcard already??

Son and DCL for me personally.

And then probably Chilwell. Stones is a good pick but you don't have the hope that he will get a massive haul like Chilwell can. And if you shoot for the stars sometimes you fall on a cloud 😉

I must admit I'm not that clued up on it as I plan Chilwell in GW6 or so. Surely he's had plenty of training now, he didn't even play in the Euros

I suspect Chilwell will start against Arsenal as Tuchel prefers him vs bigger teams but he hasn't played a proper match since the UCL final

Squad structure was all over the place and had quite a few doubts/players I didn't want long term (Alonso, Cancelo, Gundogan, Smith-Rowe) and didn't have Bruno

Interesting, Tsimik can always be used this week.

Not personally interested in Chillwell due to his fixtures. Stones may not be 100% nailed. But Son is a good pick.

I don't get it, your team looks okay?

Shame about the BB, it was a good idea but you didn't gain that many points because of Bruno.

Surely your idea with the BB was that you have a free wildcard and you can wildcard again to fix it in week 3 or 4 or something.

Can you cancel it? I can't remember the rules.

No it's gone mate, been confirmed.

Yeah the Bruno points really kinda killed the advantage of the BB but least I'm not miles behind already.

Onwards and upwards and just need to get set now in the right structure long term which I think is 3-5-2

I WC'd week two last year and finished 1900 or something. Peaked at 303. So it can work, although last year was really set up for it (with the blanks GW1).

I’d get 5.5 defender from city- stones zinch

Is this team G2G for this GW or are there any changes that I should make to it

    Bachmann

    Coufal Shaw Tsimikas

Salah (c) Fernandes Mahrez (v) Benrahma

    Wilson Ings Toney

    Sanchez ESR White Ayling

    1FT 0.5 ITB

    Any ideas would be welcomed

My team for GW2. Have I got the bench right?

    Raya

    TAA / Shaw / Tsimikas

    Salah / Fernandes / Barnes / Mbeumo

    Ings / Antonio / Toney

Bench: Sanchez / Benrahma / Coufal / Amartey

    1. TheTinman

  4. No Professionals

Decent start, Raphinha and Grealish were never really about GW1.

    Sanchez
    Trent Shaw Tsimikas
    Salah Fernandes Grealish Raphinha
    Ings Antonio Toney

    Steele Amartey White Brownhill
    1FT 0.5m

    solid hold?

plan will then be to use 2FT to get Son.

by either doing Ings to Adam Armstrong and Grealish to Son (still have 0.5m to get another 4.5m defender).

        Or Toney down to Dennis.

        Few options.

    Easy save??

Next week in order to fund Mahrez to son?

Absolutely. This game can randomly screw you at times, through no fault of your own.

Thankfully only a 4.5m player, so the impact is limited.

    Veltman out is a blow.

    Sanchez
    TAA, Shaw, White, Tsimikas
    Salah, Fernandes, Mahrez, Greenwood
    Ings, Antonio

    Steele; Veltman, Brownhill, Perica.

    A) Play White
    B) Make a transfer

Really wanted to save. None of the 4.5s really standing out to me either. Should I just roll the transfer and take White's inevitable blank against Chelsea?

There's nothing to be gained from a sideways 4,5 defender transfer.

      Same dilemma.

The 4.5m replacement could easily get just 2pts, wasting the FT. And even if they reach their ceiling of 6pts you're only up around 4pts, which is how much the transfer is worth...

      Not worth. I'm going A.

Mahrez because its him I chose for my team over the other two so I fancy him more than them.

Shaw because in this day and age with Covid-19 I'd be reluctant to captain and vice captain players from the same team.

I do think Shaw could get an attacking return, but looking at it again maybe TAA is a better VC option...

          1. Deulofail
            • 8 Years

Thanks. It seems likelihood of minutes is one of the main reasons, then, perhaps. I just wonder if he really is likely to get more minutes than the other two, in part, due to him coming off in the last game while the other two played the full 90. Surely Pep was trying to win the game rather than conserve Mahrez for the next. Torres could play on the right or through the middle. Same for Grealish on the other side. Mahrez is a one-position pony. So minutes-wise, I'm just playing Pep roulette at this point, so maybe better to consider the goal threat.

Oh, cool, I'm a premium member these days! Off I go then!

I was thinking about the much vaunted fixture swing from gw7 onwards. I had set up a gw7 ish team to see could I get it without a WC etc.
Obviously the gw7 WC is the straightforward alternative.

However, on further reflection I have realised that there is another alternative. WC earlier gw4 (half set up for gw7) and with a lot of cash in the bank to work into a gw7 team using the free transfers.

      Just an example

      Schmeichel (Gunnarson)

      --

Tierney - Digne - Hoever (Azpilicueta - Livramento)

      --

      Townsend - Sarr - Rafinha - Salah - Greenwood

      --
      Jimenez - Antonio (Cucho)

Believe it or that team has 8.5m in the bank and looks very good on paper from gw4 onwards. Allows cash to go Double Chelsea defence gw7 or big up top.

      1. Vlekz
          2 years, 8 months ago

I am doing a post gw3 wc too, but i would not keep 7 mil in the bank. I would just get bruno for Greenwood Or something for 3 weeks and then take a hit if need be. Over the course of 3 weeks a premium player can destroy your rank despite fixtures.

Fair point, what is your general strategy for a post gw 3 team?
Similar to my idea but less money in the bank?

I am waiting to see how my team fares this gw2 and gw3 to decide on which route to take. If Arsenal and Leicester suddenly look vibrant I have a decision to make as I have five of those players combined. And it would not be worth wildcarding,

          He has too many options

Mahrez, Grealish, Sterling, Torres, Gundo are all fit, and all are at risk of losing their places after the Spurs game

KDB, Bilva & Jesus are all fit and one, two or three of them could come in for one two or three of the 5 from last week

And whichever 5 he starts vs Norwich will all be looking at the touchline around the 50 minute mark when the subs boards start lighting up

And it's not even as if City are guaranteed a cricket score vs Norwich... or guaranteed that whichever 5 attackers he starts will be heavily involved if there does happen to be a cricket score

Then rinse & repeat every gameweek unless there happens to be an injury bottleneck to clarify things a bit

Why do it to yourself, plenty of other superb options in the game
