Can Wolves’ FPL assets perform as well in 2019/20?

Wolverhampton Wanderers were one of the big success stories of last season, with Nuno Espirito Santo’s impressive side finishing seventh in their first Premier League campaign in six years.

The West Midlands club offered Fantasy managers some notable bargain buys, with Matt Doherty (£6.0m), Diogo Jota (£6.5m) and Raul Jimenez (£7.5m) the three stand-out assets.

Doherty, Jimenez and several others have been handed price rises in Fantasy Premier League this summer, however, and aren’t quite the cut-price gems they were 12 months ago.

Do Wolves players still appeal, then, going into 2019/20?

      I think 4-5-1 is a good shout at the begging with Wilson up top.
      Just - would be concerned that Zinch and Kwp are subject to rotation. Which can leave you with 2 playing defenders.

    For the first time in 10 seasons I've decided to actively plan an early WC. Look to be so many different options and potentially strong value players this year that I expect to want/need to rejig my squad once things become clearer in 4/5 weeks.

    Added benefit of this is that I can plan a strong short term squad to maximise points in this period. I'm hoping that accepting the early WC rather than hoping I won't need to use it but then 90% of the time using it by GW5 will give an edge.

    Any thoughts on this? Anyone else in the same boat or have strong reasoning against?

      Spreading my bets with even strikers around 6.5 mark and excluding the likes of 4.5 strikers to avoid instant drops. All about a 9 week plan and w/ c during int. Gameweek

      I would go into a season thinking if I start well then no need to wildcard early and would try to hold it as long as I can and play it when there is a fixture swing or team needs it. If I start bad then usually I play it between Gameweeks 4 and 6. This allows time for players and teams to find their form and early season bandwagons to develop. and I

          I understand why and Martial isnt a bad pick at all, just starting with Moura you can have the best of both worlds really. Son back GW3 so you can bring in Martial then assuming his form is good. Or you could even start GW1 with Moura @ Home vs Aston Villa instead of Martial @ Home to Chelsea, then your first transfer is to swap out Moura for Martial as GW2 Moura has City away. But I think even in the City game Moura can get points tbh
