UCL Matchday 4 Picks

Picking out a Tuesday goalkeeper with convincing prospects is quite difficult. With that in mind, it could be worth investing as little as possible between the sticks, an option that Juventus’ Michele Di Gregorio (€4.5m) offers. The Italian may have frustrated many within the community due to his recent red card but he’s also helped his side claim a huge eight clean sheets in 11 Serie A matches.

If he fails to return against Lille, we could instead turn to Iñaki Peña (€4.5m). The Catalans enter their match with 33rd-placed Crvena Zvezda on the back of a clean sheet against rivals Real Madrid. Both stoppers are nice and cheap.

    Bruno + McNeil/Garnacho, or Saka + Winks?

        Thanks!
Despite ManU’s great run of fixtures and expected new manager bounce?

Do i start Di Gregorio(lil) or Schmeicel(RBL) in UCL fantasy today? Di gregorio in competition with Perin but if he starts I suspect he is better.

Do we think Son is worth a 1 week punt (will probably Captain), before moving him on for Saka? I have the FT to allow it in my plans..

    A) Foden -> Son (c), Son -> Saka the following week

    B) Keep Foden + Haaland (c), Foden -> Saka the following weej

Not worth it imo with possible limited minutes. Keep foden this week

No, I don't think his mins will be high enough to warrant both transfer in and captaincy.

Ips vs spurs is a good fixture for spurs right? So why do ange needs to play son full 90 min in an easy fixture Where they are clearly favourite.
Another 50-60 min game for son imo

I'm probably going to go for it still, unless Ange makes cautionary noises in the presser. Only Spurs player I feel confident captaining, even if only for 75 Xmins. Plan to keep him for City also before moving to Saka in 13 - prefer that matchup v Lewis/Walker to Forest defence at the moment, and also hopefully get a good look at Ødegaard's return first

Hmm ok, I'll try to catch the Man Utd game & have a think about it. Could do worse than copying Notloblegin's moves this season! (He is c. 1k OR)

I'm seriously considering it. Of course objectively it's hard to justify, but it's a fun punt and could work out beautifully.

Not many routes to Salah with my 2 FT's,

    either sell Haaland,
    or
    Sell Mbeumo and Trent
to Hall and Salah, keeping Haaland.

Mbeumo could be a miss for the next 3 but after that not so bad.

I'm very likely to sell him on a WC in 12 because I don't think he's worth his price now/selling price. He's still good but the fixtures get nice for a lot of teams around then with cheaper/similar assets and if you want in to Brentford's attack Wissa isn't that far off it considering he's missed a few games.

He already has had a few and didn't have the ball under control before Munoz hit him as it was his own elbow that knocked it out of his hands. If the FA have changed the rules this year to have one hand on the ball as long as it is touching the ground, he would be fortunate

Am probably getting both and rotating wellbeck in for those few tricky fixtures.
Wc gw12 and going go get an benching problem intentionally. Teams got 7 PL games in a little over a month. Injury/rotation city

That’s a really sensible idea mate with the hectic schedule coming up, I’ve got 14 players who start for their teams every week currently so quite happy and set for the budy schedule only one who doesn’t is 4.0 lumley, should have gone for Fabianski instead and would have had a full 15!!

If you were wildcarding in 12 how many of these tempting options but yellow card magnets do you think you could risk taking a chance on out of RAN, Semenyo and Nico Jackson? You could literally have no bench if they all got banned the same week.

    1. HelmutCool

Probably 1. But might change my mibd regarding RAN as well.

I think you're right. To be honest RAN isn't likely for me I don't think, I just can't shake how bad Wolves are at the back and I actually think he's a huge part of that which ironically makes him appealing from an attacking sense. I think they could actually go the whole season without a CS. So its probably Semenyo or Jackson and not both. Plenty to mull over.
