Leicester differentials could reward investment in 2019/20

Leicester City’s squad could provide Fantasy Premier League managers with some powerful differentials in the early part of 2019/20.

Probably because of uninspiring opening fixtures, none of Brendan Rodgers’ players is owned by more than 13.7% ahead of Gameweek 1.

However, there is enough in the underlying statistics from last year to suggest the Foxes could enjoy Rodgers’ first full season at the helm.

As this article uses data Fantasy Football Scout Members Area, only those who are signed up for the 2019/20 can access it in full.

Considering he is the most premium option available at Chelsea and is just 7.5 is brilliant. Might as well wait and see though.. Will be value at 8 too if he does well. With CHO coming in soon and RLC too Chelsea could break fpl this year

VVD for one of the other Pool defenders would give you the 0.5 needed to get a 4.5m starting defender of your choice.

or Lloris to a 4.5 keeper would give you enough for a rotating pair of 4.5m defenders.

Morning All, Currently have Fraser and Wilson but it seems too much Bou despite good opening 2 fixtures. Considering a Chelsea midfielder instead of Fraser, whats better?

The year Leicester won the league I started with Mahrez from GW1, because he had brilliant end of previous season. Last year I said to me you will start with Tielemans. BUT the signing of Perez made it difficult to choose. They are same price but if Perez plays up front with Vardy he edges it, right? convince me:)

    1. Fodderx4
      • 6 Years

I have the same dilemma but my gut is saying Tielemans.
Better player, knows his team mates and the setup now so should hit the ground running. Also have a guy feeling about McGinn being the next Fraser.

2nd that! In regards of McGinn, how come so? That whole team is a bunch of new lads, and almost on a daily base they're adding new 1st team players, it comes across to me to be a bit naive, or is that just me?

      2. Robson-Canoe

McGinn is a yellow card magnet though, which will be really annoying for owners.

I'd almost want to go with Tielemans for some reason... but seeing that Perez has higher ownership makes more of a risk choosing him

    4. ZeBestee

Perez, he will score goals, played for Newcastle who created little but still got into double figures in the past few seasons. I think 15 goals + 5-8 assists for him is possible with this Lei team.

      1. Udo
        • 6 Years
        4 years, 8 months ago

I'm just a bit sceptic about that fellow, as he had a hat-trick towards the end of last season, which takes away 25% of the total goals scored in almost 3000 minutes played. Don't get me wrong I'm very tempted myself, but for the moment I just think Tielemans has that bit more, he's a really efficient workhorse driving the attack to a high level. Perez will certainly benefit from that as well, but can't see Perez been a creator of too many chances, he depends on others such as Tielemans.

        1. ZeBestee

You can wait and monitor then but for me he is in my team with 6.5 cheap enough to highly tempt me. It's between him and Vardy.

starting with both Perez and Tielmans atm...i reckon they will feed each other (and Vardy) plenty of opportunities

Ayoze should fit in well at Leicester, especially if he produces the form he showed at the end of last season. The warning would be that at Newcastle he would go for long runs of matches where he wouldn't look like scoring.

Pope is a monitor the last friendly's.

I’m on TAA and Alisson. You save cash by going with Alisson who provides you the same clean sheet points as the others.

      1. RIDZ
        • 7 Years

that's my point, less money and chase the same clean sheet

        1. aapoman
          • 10 Years
          4 years, 8 months ago

Maybe. But if you have Alisson then you most likely are running cheaper defenders. A 4.5 goalkeeper can easily get 130+ points in a season where as 4.5 defenders need to get lucky to get even 100. Spending the cash on more expensive defenders who can get 150+ points is there fore much more beneficial

    2. aapoman
      • 10 Years
      4 years, 8 months ago

Alisson wastes you a Pool spot. Also a lot of people are going with cheaper goalkeepers since they tend to get more points than cheap defenders.

Too risky if I downgrade Diop (on the bench) to a 4.0 to afford VVD to TAA?

    Robbo VVD Zinchenko (Diop Lundstram)
    Salah Sterling KDB Perez Barkley
    King Jota (Greenwood)

    A) Lloris | Button

    Kane | King | Greenwood

    B) Lloris | Button
    TAA | VVD | Robertson | Zinchenko | Digne
    Sterling | Perez | Tielemans | Anderson | B.Silva
    Wilson | Murray | Greenwood

Want to load up on defense - 5-4-1 and thus these calls. A has Kane who has had a good pre-season. B is more balanced and gives an extra sub option, is it worth it?

Depends at what cost to other players/teams. I currently don't have any Spurs players and two Bournemouth. I think the greater context of your team is more important. What's your team looking like now?

      1. Lebowski85

        Well I had this

        Heaton
        TAA VVD Digne WanB
        Salah Sterling Brooks Perez Jorghino
        Kane

with Brooks out....I feel like I need Bournemouth cover, so swapped to this...

        Heaton
        TAA VVD Digne WanB
        Salah Sterling Eriksen Perez Cellabos
        Wilson

My aim is around GW3/4 to swap Eriksen/Wilson to Wood/Son and then invest the extra million somewhere like Cellabos

        1. Lebowski85
          • 11 Years

Ideally I'd keep Kane and get Fraser in but that makes the other two mids pretty weak...and I want 4-5-1 as I think the economics work out...until I need a squad to handle fixture congestion of course

    2. ZeBestee
      • 9 Years

I like Bou attack, almost guaranteed goals. In Spurs, you have got Kane, who is not cheap. Son is the best option after his suspension. Moura and even Ndombele is a good shout, and Alli is 8.5 now, will he rediscover his previous best form?

Why'd you go with Perez over Tielmans? Currently debating this and looking for a voice of reason.

    Perez or Tielmans? Why?

Also, any thoughts on Ben Gibson (BUR 4.0)? Read a few days ago he was getting the most mins in the pre-season for any 4.0 defender. Currently on Boly but considering a move to free up a bit of extra cash.

Looks good. Perhaps change Murray/Wood to Wilson/Greenwood?

I am not convinced with Greenwood. Plus I am planning to replace Murray with Wesley from Gameweek 2 because of their fixtures.

Regarding Wood, he has scored a lot of goals towards the end of season and pre-season games too. But I can replace with King. Burnley has great fixtures from GW 5, so I can get him back then.

    A) Pope, Zinchencko, Coleman, KDB
    B) Ederson, Laporte, Digne, Sterling.

Downgrading Sterling gives more strenght in defence.
