Which Watford players should FPL managers consider in 2019/20?

It’s as you were for Watford going into the start of the 2019/20 campaign.

At the time of writing and with just 24 hours before the transfer window closes, the Hornets had made only two first-team signings this summer – one of them Danny Welbeck.

Centre-half Craig Dawson (£5.0m) has arrived from West Bromwich Albion and he was the only player not on the books in 2018/19 who was involved in Watford’s final pre-season friendly against Real Sociedad last weekend.

Javi Gracia’s side are also set to be lining up in their familiar 4-2-2-2/4-4-2 shape, with the Watford boss having briefly experimented with a three-man backline in their penultimate friendly against QPR.

We can be fairly confident about the system and personnel going into Gameweek 1 and beyond, then, but what can Fantasy managers expect from Watford’s players this season and are they worthy of consideration?

    Anyone know of any good FPL leagues outside of here?

    I know PVA does one and so does the golfer Tyrell Hatton, but are there any obvious ones to join? I think The Times axed theirs this season and I cant find a 442 or Talksport one for example.

      I'm so tempted, but my head says leave it.

      And it's not really a big risk to miss out anyway - it's not as if he offers anything beyond clean sheets.

      I've now switched to rotating 4.5s with the added benefit that my first sub is much better should someone not play for some reason.

    This is more a comment than a question 😉

    Fascinated by who decides to become a content creator in this community. Without naming and shaming, just found someone with a lot of subs and views etc who just recorded their best ever season (and has been playing for a decade). It was outside the top 20k. Which there is no shame in at all. But I don't want that opinion, especially not in isolation (if they were part of a panel then maybe, panels or pairs also get a little more slack for me just because of chemistry and enjoyment. Always cheating could never have broken the top 3m and I'd still want to listen to them, ditto fpl family). Am I alone in this (and does anyone have pods or youtubers to recommend to supplement scoutcast)

      I like FML FPL podcast because they make me laugh and it’s sort of informative. Mostly as they’re funny. I’m not too bothered where people finish. Following the crowd won’t get anyone to the top

      Just outside Top 20k is not to be sniffed at. My best finish in 12 years was 26k last year...and I was very proud of it as I was top 10k for most of it.

      Perception and Analysis are key skills in this game...decision making and timing is another thing entirely. Just because someone makes poor decisions doesn't mean their ability to analyse is poor.

    One of the reasons i prefer Auba to Kane is because he gives you a captain alternative to Salah in GW2.

    Salah plays Chelsea 3 days before Southampton (A) in Istanbul. Auba has Burnley (H) and has scored 6 goals in 3 games against them.

    Another reason is I'd be willing to downgrade Auba to 7.5 forward in GW3 to afford KDB or Auba could switch to Kane for Newcastle (H).

    Ok guys a final RMT so I can step away from the tinkering.

    The aim here is to get Kane in for GW1 and 3. Why wouldn’t you want Kane for Villa and newcastle at home!? Can’t do without Salah and Sterling. Liverpool and City defence a must and fit the rest around that. Any comments appreciated!
