How Scout Membership can help Fantasy managers in 2019/20

Full-season Fantasy Football Scout subscriptions are still available for £17.50 – that’s the equivalent of less than 39p a week.

Over the years we have added to the benefits that our Members enjoy and we will be re-investing back into the site to enhance it further in 2019/20.

The most recent addition was the new Flat-Track Bully tool, which allows Members to conduct research in greater detail.

Using this new feature (pictured below) you can exclude/include certain teams (i.e. the ‘big six’) when scrolling through the various tabs in our Player Stats section.

This will help you identify players who perhaps perform better against weaker opposition and even those who thrive against the top teams like Raúl Jiménez did in 2018/19.

We also recently put a call out for web developers and we have a number of other site improvements in the pipeline that will hopefully help our subscribers even more.

If you’re new to the benefits of Fantasy Football Scout membership, you can get full details, along with a series of movies previewing the content, via this page.

In 2018/19 we published more Members’ articles than ever before and there will be at least 150 such pieces in the 2019/20 campaign.

We also introduced Members-only comments and Hot Topics to allow for detailed discussions of content behind the pay-wall.

Our Projections and Rate My Team tools (below) have both been tweaked, with RMT’s Professor – aka Chris Atkinson – elaborating on the changes in a recent Hot Topic.

Reigning Fantasy Premier League champion Adam Levy is a paid-up Member of our site and he discussed what tools of ours he finds most useful in a recent interview.

In previous seasons we’ve helped FPL winners Tom Fenley and Simon March, while in 2015/16 we were thrilled to see Ed Masters – the winner of that year’s Members’ League – finish third in the overall rankings.

In 2017/18, Paul Gee went one better. He won our Members’ League and finished second, losing out to champion Yusuf Sheikh by just eight points.

We are hugely grateful to those who show their support by signing up as a Member each season. This continues to enable us to maintain the site, grow the Fantasy Football Scout team and develop more ideas.

Here are just some of the features you can enjoy as a subscriber:

Head-to-Head Comparisons

Compare both teams and players head to head.

Match Analysis

Analysis of every Premier League match (going back to 2011/12!), together with charts which plot average positions and our collection of heatmaps for touches, shots, chances created among other statistics.

Custom Stats Tables

Members can also create custom tables based on the data and share them with other subscribers (an example from last season is shown above).

Perhaps the most famous of these is Joe’s Goals Imminent table, which looks to predict which underperforming assets will find the net next.

Customisable Season Ticker

Sort by fixture difficulty and find out which teams’ matches rotate well using our customisable Season Ticker.

Be sure to check out all the other benefits of signing up as a member here. A full FAQ on our Members’ Area is also available here.

Unless the first two bag hauls and the other two pretty much blank the first 3 fixtures?

That’s the problem with planning moves, the players you have need to underperform for you to go through with it.

King is the popular one due to penalties & fixtures but Jota seems the best pick because of form from last season and pre season. He is integral to wolves play

I have a feeling Brighton are going to get destroyed by Watford GW1. Probably Deulo.

Jota would cover Jimenez's obscenely high ownership, but "covering" players isn't really my style.

I know it's early in pre-season, but so far Brighton's new style doesn't seem to be working. Not sure their players, particularly the CBs, are suited that kind of philosophy. Potter could be the first manager to go.

Bit of a leap, but all we can do is speculate at this stage.

    Ryan (Button)

TAA -VVD - Zinchenko - Coleman (Kelly)

An attempt of having Salah, Sterling and Kane in the same team. Decent? Except having to play Greenwood every week...

Only difference is Buendia for a 4.5M mid (dendocker) and Deulo for Wilson. Norwich fixtures are not good to start, but definitively will be monitoring Buendia and Pukki. Currently deciding between King/Jota/Deulo

          1. Athletic Nasherbo
            • 7 Years

I have two other combinations which include King > Wilson by downgrading Buendia.

            • 7 Years

I like Pukki a lot. Norwich scored so many goals- looking at Brighton, Leicester and Bournemouth who had similar records in terms of goals they remain in the league so Norwich will be fine and good.

He seems to be the main target for corner kicks. If he doesn't score, he has a chance to assist from a flick on.

I do like Robertson though, his crossing is superb. I think he might be worth the 0.5m...

He's best for those low balls whipped across the 6 yard box, his high stuff needs some work, TAA much better at those.

              • 12 Years

Yeah, and Robertson does create a ton of chances, lots of big chances too. I guess his crosses tend to be more all or nothing. Which isn't a bad thing. Think I'm set on having the two fullbacks over VVD. Both have eye-watering assist potential...

I don't think starting with all 3 is a horrible decision. Leaves you with easy moves to other players. Also think you can get a decent enough team with all 3.

I don't believe his record in August is a coincidence so I'm confident starting the season without him. I might consider Moura though and look for a way to upgrade to Son later on.

Even without the price difference, I'd probably prefer Son over Kane.

Drafted this team before coming on here this season...

    GK: Allison, 4.0 mil
DEF: VVD, Deane, Zinchenko, K Femenia, Dunk
MID: Salah, B Silva, Siggy, Neves, 4.5 mil
    FOR: Laczette, Wilson, Deulofeu

Looking around, everyone seems to have gone Salah and Sterling. Is it just rotation risk that is putting people off B Silva?
Also tempted to upgrade Laca to Kane but would require downgrades elsewhere.

    Any clangers here?

B Silva just doesn't score big ff points, regardless of what a wonderful footballer he is

I think you analyse B Silva as not being good FF-wise despite his obvious progress last year.

I like his price and have had him in and out of drafts before finally settling on players who will spend more time in the box.

One to keep a very close eye on for sure.

Salah blanking against Norwich sounds unlikely . . .three defenders from any team seems a big risk.

Seems similar to the best value teams. Those 3 in mid will be worth 0.5-1 more by end of season. Vardy could be downgraded to Jiminez or Jota. Wilson seems to score 2 every 4 games so you have to wait. Could be changed to Brooks or King. Then have Sig or Milo in mid. Vardy is like Kane they always score. Same with Wilson. Maybe I should change my team.

Had 3 good opportunities before that worldie. Probably should have buried 1 or 2 but at least he got in those positions. They weren't clear cut chances, but they were decent.

I've noticed almost no one has Aguero in their team (including me). Does anyone plan to bring him in for GW4 (Brighton at home)?

Considering his home record against weaker teams, I feel like he might be an essential for that GW even with Sterling and have no idea where to get the funds from as I'm planning to start the season with no premium strikers.

His price just crept up a bit too far for me. If he were cheaper than Sterling I would give it some thought, but I can't at 12.0m. Sterling is in the ascendancy, and Aguero will begin to decline.

I wouldn't count on Greenwood to start games, at least regularly. Also Brighton might not do as well defensively this season, so I find it a bit risky going with Ryan as the only keeper. Looks good other than that.

Digne > Coleman, get a better 4.5 keeper and ask Doosra who the best 5.5 midfielder is...

Burning question is that do I need Sterling if I'll captain Salah first two weeks and gw3 Son. 12m for a player who I won't captain is insane. KdB would be great placeholder for Son.

    Team with Sterling:

    4.5
    Zinchenko - TAA - Robbo - Coleman - Digne
    KdB - Sterling - Salah - Perez
    King

Team without Sterling would be better, right?

    Ederson
    Coleman - Digne - Robbo - TAA
    Salah - Richarlison/Siggy - Bilva - KdB
    King - Deulofeu

    1. Bushwhacker
      • 4 Years

Doubling up on Everton defenders seems risky to me ; King/Deulo seems risky as well given King's total lack of game time thus far in pre-season and Deulofeu's hot/coldness. . . .

Maybe downgrade KdB in the team without Sterling and go with that? You can then upgrade the keeper and get a 2nd striker with the additional funds.

    Version 2.0 (well 42.0 but who's counting) . . obviously set up for a 4-4-2 :

    Ryan (Button)
    TAA-VVD-Azil-Digne (Rico)
    Salah-Sterling-Fraser-Perez (Dend)
    Wilson-Jota (Greenwood)

Thoughts? VVD to Robbo is my major headache but it means Azil > Zinchenko whose starting position still concerns me.

                170, 175, 158 . . . at 6.0 there isn't a better option. Walker might have upside as does Zinchenko if he's guaranteed.

Like it, but I'd get some City defence in there. Azil to Zinc or Digne to Cleman alowing Azil to Laporte seems easiest. Their defensive stats from the final third of last season are just too good to ignore.
