The jury is still out on Manchester United’s Fantasy assets going into the new campaign.

The new manager bounce that the club experienced after Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s appointment in December gave way to some middling form in the final nine Gameweeks of the season.

Their pre-season results (five wins from six) have been quietly encouraging, at least, with Inter Milan and Spurs among the teams already beaten in July.

This latest Numbers Game piece differs from the usual format as we focus on the impact Solskjaer had on United’s assets in the second half of last season.

The Norwegian first took charge of the Red Devils in Gameweek 18, so we will examine United’s stats before and after the departure of Jose Mourinho.

    I have 1itb. Currently have Trossard (6.0) and Wesley (6.0). Too much of a risk to have both starting? or should I upgrade to Perez and Jota? Or one of them into a 7.0 (Pedro, Abraham etc)?

      You could hold the money to give you some wiggle room over opening weeks.

      Personally I'm taking a few gambles so would support the current approach you have; I've found the options and pricing a little uninspiring this year leading to virtually every team published on here looking very similar. I'm going with some untested EPL options for my own enjoyment.

      I'd either look to spread the money more or save the BB. The likes of Albrighton, Dunk and Dendoncker aren't worth using the chip for imo.

    I feel like all the 6.5 forwards are certain disappointments. Deulofeu injured, Wood plays in a low scoring side with tough fixtures to start with, King hardly played in preseason and isn't very good, Deeney is naff. Only Jota fills me with any sort of confidence but he's got a trip to bloody Armenia three days before his season opened.

          I am desperate for Brighton not to sign maupay as murray would be my dream 3rd striker. Wood is the guy otherwise. Deeney not at it in pre season he is one to keep an eye on for me. Wood seems like going mental this year.

        I don't do blind punts plus Wesley has hardly much of a record. Barely scored any goals playing for one of Belgium's biggest clubs. Can't imagine he'll do anything in the PL.

      I'm not sure he is capable of stepping up to Prem level. Classic one of those who excel in Championship but can't quite cut it in Premiership.
