        Most comfortable with Harry at 6m, he has me excited. Plus the team even looks marginally better with the three big hitters I have. I reckon he could play a role this week, and I do not mind if he does not. He will be a starter, especially with Brooks out until at least October.

        Was unsure if maybe double Bournemouth is to much, that is why. Wilson is definitely in my side, like him the most out of the 6m mids + he has nice fixtures in an attacking Eddie Howe side. Can see at the very list a similar impact to what Brooks had, which was great.

      With VAR, he can prove to be very good. Worst comes to worst you shift him on early. Love the side otherwise, have to hope someone like Kane or Auba do not go off early.

      I personally have a side with Salah Sterling Kane. Comfortable with what I have around them too.

          If zinchenko does turn out to be a viable option then you can easily transfer him in freeing up funds in the process. The danger is not being able to upgrade him easily or struggling to find any good 5.5 options (of which there aren't many)

              Exactly, feel much more comfortable with this now. Its just sorting out my 4.5m defender, and maybe changing Dendoncker to Hayden or something. Otherwise I am pretty content, especially with the signings Spurs are making too.

                Dendonkey is the best choice for a reason. Class irl.
                Tbh, at 11.0 I personally would go Auba GW1 and 2, and switch to Kane for GW3.

      Laporte is a doubt, Seamus is no good, Heaton won't ever get a CS (unlike Pope). See if you can work on that back line a bit.

        Lapirte is back in training, from what I hear.
        If Pep comes out and says that Cancelo is "in contetion" to play, and he is 6.0m, then he will come into my team.

        Seamus has done very well in preseason imo, and he is the captain. Think he is nailed for the first few weeks, unless something changes.

        I can always do Heaton+Coleman->Pickford+Targett, though. It is an option im considering.

      Nah, that is the same defensive line I have besides Gibson, and I have Pope over Heaton. I would change Barkley, and downgrade Yarmolenko.

      I'd definitely lose Yarmolenko, he's 6.0m ffs. You can spend that money to do Heaton -> Ederson if you wanted to. Or Barkley to Fraser / Pulisic.

      3 at the back needs a 4.5 nailed 4th. Problem here is you haven't much room to breathe with your strikers and support midfielders, not much value to switch around esp if you hold Haller through the run. Ederson to 4.5 and invest more further up.

        I wouldn't go with two 4.0 defenders because you'll probably end up using the .5 to upgrade one anyways when they aren't starting for their clubs. Rest looks fine

    Unpopular/Weird opinions
    1. VAR will make CBs score higher than attacking Wing backs this year. Opposition players can no longer use their arms and elbows to pull players down leafing to more goals from set pieces(see how attacking CBs were in the world cup for eg). So, if a cb is brought down he gets an assist.. If a cb isn't brought down he has a higher chance of scoring since he won't be as harassed as last year. I'm punting on VVD being the highest points scorer in defense this year.
    2. Set pieces in the epl which have gone relatively unchecked the past few seasons will lead to an increase in penalties via VAR.
    3. Wolves will be the only match ready team in the epl. Sure the europa league will affect players further down the line but right now they are the only team who's playing competitive football and should be miles ahead in preparation as compared to the rest of the epl. After the first few months tired legs will come in.. But not at the start.
    4. With lo celso, ndombele signing we could see kane return to his best. Even when not at his best last season he was headed for 20+ goals. Its usually safe to bank on him for 25+ goals and 5+ assists and he is an absolute baps monster. I know he gets one point less than midfielders for a goal.. But his 30+ baps in every full season kinda makes up for it. Plus their midfield now looks like rotation Central.

      Nice post. Love point four, and I thought before he would have a comeback season. He is in my side for sure and I am happy, especially with Salah and Sterling. The sacrifices elsewhere are definitely fine to start.

        Yup. For me it's not really a sacrifice either since I always go with budget keepers and a 3 way rotation in defense. The only sacrifice I've had to make is getting Robinson in.. And as a Sheffield United admirer I wanted him Anyway (with mcginn as a failsafe if he doesn't perform) 🙂

      I prefer dunk tbh. Only plan on playing him gw 2, 3, 5, 9 if I get him though. Wouldn't want to play them every week(Taylor/Diop playing the other fixtures)

          I've always had a 3 way rotation for one spot and 2 premium defenders. Gives me a good bench and 14 easy home games put of 14 and then I WC and do it again so I get about 30+ home games out of 38.Almost always matches a premium defender if done correctly. Ppl forget that 4.5 defenders also get 7 to 10 CS's and they are usually predictable.
