Nottingham Forrest vs Luton and Sheffield Utd vs Manchester Utd possible postponements.
For those who aren't too aware of the potential postponements, I'll give you a very basic idea of how these things often work in Blighty.
In extreme weather the powers that be need to take a few things in to account.
-Firstly, obviously the weather and what they think is going to happen in the future. Whilst at the same time looking at what the immediate is like. Currently the rain is heavy in the 2 areas of concern for todays PL matches with plenty more to come.
-Secondly, what the surrounding areas of the grounds are like, what condition are things in. Are there road closures? Is it dangerous? How close are they to a potential major hazard? Well just like with yesterdays postponed game, these 2 grounds are close to a river that could burst. Nottingham FC is literally on the river as Rotherham is. If it bursts the game is definitely off. In Sheffield, the stadium is a bout a mile and a half away, but if surrounding areas flood, it may as well be on the river, such will be the impact.
-Thirdly, what the playing area is like. Most PL pitches are incredibly well looked after in every way, so weather isn't usually much of an issue, but in extreme circumstances the conditions can just be too much.
-Timing. They have the unenviable job of trying to balance giving people enough time to change their plans if the game is called off vs not wanting to cancel such a big event as its hard to reschedule and don't want to disappoint for no reason. Usually this is about 3-4 hours before kick off. If 4 hours it’ll be right on deadline.

Play Cash or Tsimikas? Cash seems to be to be the easy option being nailed and having good underlying attacking stats but in terms of fixture upside Liverpool v Everton is much better in terms of both attacking stat and CS potential. No idea which way to go lol
