      if there's a cheap Italian striker/midfielder starting I might want one of them for the certainty.

      Shaqiri doesn't excite me at all...

      I get the idea that Wijndal might finally start, but often teams won't rotate defenses...so Dumfries would still be my choice there.

        Thanks for the input. Thinking that Shaqiri can pretty easily become whichever of Berardi/Chiesa makes Italy's starting XI and that's a tasty upgrade.

        If I had the extra money for Dumfries I would go there, but the 4.5 fits my plan for a #5 defender who has a chance of starting against North Macedonia. I have plenty of cover in the back just in case Wijndal doesn't start.

        Rolling the dice on Malen feels like a really good move.
