If you’re playing FIFA Club World Cup Fantasy and new to Fantasy games of this ilk, you may or may not be aware that you can make manual substitutions between each fixture.

WHO CAN I SUB ON/OFF?

If a bench player is yet to play and you stick to the valid formations, you can manually replace a player from your starting XI.

If you’re taking out a player who has already played, say Lionel Messi ($10.5m) after his blank on Sunday morning, then the change is irreversible.

Doing so means you’ll only get points from the new player.

WHAT ABOUT AUTO-SUBS?

Any manual changes made to your team during a live Matchday (which can be done right up until the final match) will cancel the auto-subs functionality for that Matchday.

HOW DO I MAKE A SUBSTITUTION?

In the live Matchday tab of the ‘Team‘ page, click the shirt of the player you want to remove and hit ‘Sub Out’.

You can then select the player you want to bring in by clicking on their shirt.

Make sure to click ‘Confirm’ to finalise the change.

GK Sommer or Armani ? I have Sommer for now and Dumfries on the bench, Armani in reserve and Mastantuono starting, so tried to split. But is one match easier than the other? Cheers!

They don't play the same time. Start the one that plays first(Armani and Mast), then if they blank or don't give you the points you expected, you can sub them for the players yet to play.

This is different from FPL - substitutions can be made within a calendar day.
      Armani plays first.
If he doesn't do well, you can take him out for Sommer, so long as you make the manual sub before Inter's match begins.
Just make sure the later-playing players are on your bench now.

The drop-down menu on the ‘My Team’ page has seemingly disappeared.

This menu should enable easy reference to the dates when your chosen players are actually performing. Without it you have to visually check the fixture schedule to make sure your bench is populated with the players who play later.

Don’t understand why this feature has been removed whilst MD1 is in progress.

Kane captain leading the line. Bayern score 10 goals....what could possibly go wrong.

Salah vs Bournemouth. Glad not being a victim on both occasions

Can you change captain each day in MD1 (assuming player you switch to hasn’t played)? Or are we only allowed to change captain only once? Rules ambiguous saying in para 1 you can change “ an unlimited number of times “ during a live MD but then in para 2 says “ you are able to change captain once more” for player yet to play. I think it means you can change as often as you like for player yet to play in MD and once more probably should not be read literally and means you can do it again and again in MD for player yet to play

    Rules
“During a live matchday, you can change your captain an unlimited number of times, as long as the new selected captain is yet to play in the current matchday.

Once your captain has played in the matchday, you are able to change your captain once more for another player who is yet to play. If you choose to change your captain, you will lose their double points, and your new captain will score double instead.”

I may well be missing something, but why would you change captains every day? Unless, for example, you had Dembele today which would then allow you to move the captaincy to someone playing tomorrow and so on. As long as your captain hadn't played today in which case you only get to change him once. Is a bit confusing I agree; I guess we will have to see what happens in practice. As I had Olise today, I think I'll be sticking!

Obviously you only change it if they are (the playing manager) not happy with the amount of points their captain produced.

You can change your captain before & after every match, but not when the match is live and playing.

The wording for these games should be unambiguous & not open to doubt. We should not have to conduct in-game experiments to discover what is or isn’t allowed. Doesn’t reflect very well on the FIFA planners. Not sure why I am even bothering with this now.

I will never get tired of seeing a player run across the top of the box and curl it into the far corner.

IDK why I didn't go triple Bayern. Only had Olise and Kane. Kane trolling me as usual.

I actually expected Bayern to score 15, group stages do have some huge miss-matches

I don't know what's worse, the tournament itself or the fantasy game. Both sound horrific. Wake me up in August.

Help please. I have Olise VC so how can I engineer it so he gets the cap points. Captain someone who doesn’t play? Currently on Hakimi who got 7

Your selected Captain will score double points. If your captain doesn’t play any minute during the matchday, your Vice-Captain will score double points instead.

However, the Vice-Captain will score double points ONLY if you have not done any changes to your team during a live matchday.
      .
.Don't think it can be done.
