With an international break upon us and the imminent arrival of a certain Cristiano Ronaldo further swelling the premium asset pool, saving two Fantasy Premier League (FPL) transfers for Gameweek 4 may look like a sensible ploy this week.

If only there weren’t so many tempting players to spend our money on…

Romelu Lukaku (£11.5m) could well break the so-called template team, with the FPL community split between snapping him up now and waiting for a Gameweek 7 fixture swing.

A glut of starting £4.0m-ish defenders are helping many of us afford the Belgian and other high achievers.

And West Ham’s free-scoring duo of Michail Antonio (£7.7m) and Said Benrahma (£6.3m) are being bought in their droves after back-to-back double-digit hauls.

    Confession time: having spent the week advising people not to WC just before the transfer deadline, I've gone and played my WC this morning. Prob too soon and it'll bite me, but I'm very pleased with my squad - no premiums this GW, but 6.3M itb to get in any 2 of Salah, Lukaku, CR7 or Kane over the next 2 GWs.

    Livramento starts, armband on Son, DCL in the starting line-up with Duffy 1st sub. My reasoning is if DCL starts, he scores; if he doesn't Duffy could bag a CS whether or not he repeats his scoring feat.

            I personally would have kept Salah and started with Kane (C) over Vardy.

            I guess you may get some more points this GW, but saves booking a transfer (especially with International Break).

              I've gone with the thought that Spurs have 2 easy fixtures while Liverpool don't. Then I'll get Salah back and prob stick with him as my premium midfielder, and hokey-cokey with my front line. The others, such as the Leeds duo have a bad game GW4 but are there for the long haul.

          I like variety mate. Vardy could be a golden one week punt before switch to Ronny. Very brave going double Leeds attack like. Again could be a shrewd move as I think Burnley will struggle this year.
