What’s the better plan for a LL MD3?

    A. Braithwaite + Insigne + Bonucci
    B. Griezmann + Berardi + Denayer

Option A allows me to target Finland, so would move Braithwaite to Dzuba in MD2 v Finland again. Only downside is it uses a valueable FT...

A should be fine for 2 GWs

If you have a lazy 0.5m Puk, switch Braithwaite to Poulsen & free up that free transfer. Braithwaite is more dynamic, but if Denmark get one vs Belgium ; it'll be down Poulsen's side.
      If that's do-able, then A.

Good shout, but not a fan of going into the Belgium game with a Dane attacker... I think Russia can run through Finland... also just had a look, do you think Poulson is nailed on? Prone to the early sub/rotation sometimes it seems

Totally agree. That's why the draft that I included Braithwaite & the draft that I included Poulsen, are now both history.
          Next hurdle : spainish fly.

    Bonucci or Spinazzola ??

Spinazzola. But I think there's so much value at 4.5m it's not worth paying 1m extra for IT defense.

If you already have a preference, might as well wait until the lineups are announced (since it'll be before the deadline).

I'm currently on Bonucci, but pondering whether Spinazzola has a better ceiling.

    We good to go on?

    Donnarumma, Hradecky
Bonucci, Denayer, Wijnal, Maele, P Torres
F Torres, Mount, Jota, Berradi, Nego
    Ronaldo, Lukaku, Depay

Kjær nailed, not sure Mæhle is. Would get rid of Nego by downgrading some in the midfield or Donna.

Looks good. Check Berardi start on Friday, I think he's a better attacking option than Chiesa but Mancini mightn't start him. I think Turkey can score against them in Rome. Mount is a class footballer, not sure he's a good EFF pick surrounded by attacking options for England.

Something I'm struggling to fathom from the rules on UEFA's site, RE: manual subs...

It says manual subs can be made after all matches on a calendar day have been played.

Say I've got a Spanish player. To get their points, do I need to sub them in BEFORE they play? Or can you see what their haul is, THEN sub them in?

I'm guessing it's the former, as otherwise there's zero risk in just sitting and waiting for the highest possible points?

Have to sub in before they play

Sub them in unless you already have them in your starting 11. Put your subs playing latest in the Matchday on your bench. For example if you put 4 players between Portugal and France in your starting 11 and your bench is 4 from Turkey and Italy, after the Italy v Turkey game you cannot make any manual substitutions for your matchday because your bench has played. You can't sub in a player that has played, you can only sub them out to the bench after they've played.

      A. But there's a better/attacking mid at 5-5 kicking about. Can't remember his name. Many on here know who I'm talking about. Personally I'd take Rodri with Biscuits potentially out

    CRUCIAL QUESTION

If you use Limitless in MD2 and Wildcard in MD3, how many free transfers will you have between round of 16 and the quarter-finals?

    3 or 4?

    1. Holmes
      • 12 Years
      5 years, 1 month ago

You get unlimited transfer for R16 and then 3 for QFs

"If you don't use your free transfers between matchdays, you'll only be able to carry one forward to the next matchday – meaning you can't stockpile free transfers over several rounds. And once the knockout stage starts, you can't carry any free transfers forward between matchdays."

    What do you think?

    Bachmann / Hradecky

    Spinazzola / Kjær / Denayer / Wijndal / Porres

    Eriksen / Wijnaldum / Elmas / Berardi / Jankto

    Ronaldo / Lukaku / Depay

    LL GW2
Considering Wijnaldum -> F Torres, and/or Eriksen + Hradecky -> Jota + Cakir. But Portugal has a tough GW3. And Finland seams pretty weak.

I prefer F Torres to Wijnaldum. I definitely wouldn't go triple NED considering their tactical difficulties and abysmal manager. Just out of interest, what is the appeal of Jankto?

      1. Gaalvinism
        • 10 Years

Sounds reasonable. Well it’s the most attractive below 6m I can find outside Elmas and Berardi. Alaba, not so much. Jorg not on pens anymore. Open for suggestions. Some of the 7m’s are attractive, but that would mean downgrading Wijnaldum/Torres.

Also on Jankto: Scotland has bean leaking. GW3 vs England is tough though

Can’t fit both, but either Torres + Jankto or Olmo + Zielinski. Could work. The article above got me a little interested in Malinovskiy too.

Word of advice for those considering Polish assets- don't do it.

We are rubbish, new manager is still working out his starting XI plus changing system we play in.
On top of it all few key players are injured.

At this rate I can seriously see us losing all 3 games.

No, you don't want any of them.
Don't get me wrong in clubs some of them play good football but when they meet as a national team they have massive collective brain fart combined with inability to run.
