        Playing some different rules where I'm only allowed to make transfers in international breaks, but can wildcard and play other chips outside of them. Thought this was my best strategy to attack the next block of fixtures. I decided Palmer was the best captain this week and Salah is better than Haaland between GW4-7. Fully expect it to blow up.

          Have to perma captain in blocks of fixtures and no swapping subs around either. Literally hands off for a month.

    A lot of the FPL content is very short term. We’ve gone from 6 gameweek windows to arguably 2-3, as the pressure to demonstrate returns on advice increase.

    I can see one way of gaining rank is to bet against the herd over such short periods. There still has to be doubts over Chelsea against a half decent side, yet people have been swayed to bring in and captain Palmer over Haaland/Salah/Saka.

    It’s follow the bandwagon stuff, rather than calling out that perhaps Wolves contributed massively to their downfall.

    Wolves and Everton look dire. Forest and Bournemouth attacking owners must be quietly confident this gameweek.

        I don’t know what % of fantasy managers consume FPL content, but it has to be a lot - at least at the beginning when more managers are active. It just takes one narrative to take off and players are sold en masse after just two gameweeks.

        As there are no guarantees that the player you hold scores next week, the safe move can be to move with the herd - you’re rewarded threefold; a price rise, no price drop and a player that “everyone” else is getting (as a shield).

        It’s only getting worse each year.

          I would guess a fair amount which is evident in the drop off of activity here. You have to roll with the rules as they are (or stop playing!). It should even out over the course of a season.
