      It was a fan twitter site that was going into meltdown about the transfer window. It alleged that they had had a tip off that Gordon hadn't trained on Friday, which coincided with the Elanga bid news. The inference was maybe that Gordon might be sold.

      No, and even if you hadn't used your GW1 transfer, you'd still only have 1 FT now. If you have 2 FTs when you WC, then you'll have 2 FTs the following week. Bit harsh imo.
