    Best option?

    Sanchez
    TAA, Shaw, Coufal +

    A. Fofana+Holgate/White
    B. Lamptey+Ayling
    C. Justin+4.0

Supposing all fit and White goes to Arsenal…

I’d be very tempted with A, not too lean on Fofana but I seem to be the only one round here to think that!

Fofana is so clearly 0.5 under-priced, hence the temptation.

      Pick the right players?

Cover the big players and big teams, don’t pick too many euro championship players initially pick ones who have had a good rest- TAA, Maddison/Barnes/ Watkins etc , don’t go too differential

It is very simple. Build your squad with 7 or 8 most owned players in the game and find respectively 3 or 4 differentials, who score big in first three weeks. It is very simple:)

I don't know if it would work or not, but I have this crazy idea that you could skip week one to see how every team lines up. Then jump on ALL the early bandwagons.

FPL doesn't. You just get zero.
Better to take enough hits in GW2 to get all the players you want.
Or play an early wildcard in GW2.

GW1 points + GW2 points - GW2 hit points should be greater than GW2 points on their own.
Even if you change your entire squad, that only costs 14*4=56 hit points.
You should expect to score than 56 in GW1 (you could even set up your squad to Bench Boost in GW1 and then replace most of them for GW2), and you probably won't need to change all 15 of your players anyway.

Who are you most likely to select as your 4.5 goalkeeper(s)?
Sanchez, Raya, Bachmann, Guaita, Dubravka, McCarthy, Krul.

    1. Andy_Social

Definitely Sanchez for me, but as backup to a 5.0. Still deciding between Pickford and Henderson.

Was all set on Sanchez, but White moving means I might just swerve Brighton defence now (or maybe punt on Lamptey)

Watford kept 23 clean sheets last season, including 14 in 23 home games so Bachmann has the jersey for me at the minute, plus his 4.0 backup in Foster

Anyone actually avoided the carnage of Netherlands & France going home early? Can only manage 6 players at best myself in QFs. Looking at multiple hits or hoping to muster enough points with 8 - 9 players.

Currently on 6 players + KDB, hoping Sweden win to give me a gk.

Will likely just use FTs and not bother with hits as the players you bring in for a hit could easily be knocked out

I only had one player from those teams. However, I got the Denmark/Wales match WAY wrong so I have three Wales players to get rid of. And I have three Sweden players, so I'm leaning towards wildcard

I think it’ll be hard to predict who is going to score more than 4 points so I don’t think hits are worthwhile. I have 3 French, 4 Dutch, KDB and Berardi but will probably just use my 3 transfers and hope for the best.

Anyone still holding a wildcard right now is way ahead of the game. Well done to all those who didn’t follow the template of LL in GW2 followed by WC in GW3.

Does still depend how well the wildcards are used, mind.

I was feeling pretty down about my lack of wildcard yesterday, though am taking a slightly different view on things now.

262 points in the bag and inside the top 9k; yes, my rank will inevitably take a hit in the QFs. But equally it's a lot of points to have in hand.

I'm as pessimistic about England's chances as normal. Big jingoistic press build-up, shite performance on the pitch.

But living in Germany and talking to my German footie mates, they don't feel as confident about the match as usual.

Even German telly are currently bigging up the England team.

Feel Germany will be all over England in the midfield. Very defensive tactics from GS.

Germany front three - Muller, Kai and Werner
England front three - Kane, Raz and Saka

well i know you're being obtuse but it's effective a 3-4-3 going forward and a 5-4-1/5-2-3 in defense.

It's the exact one I wanted, so happy. Trippier and Shaw will push up to make a front 5 in the attacking phase.

But in knockout football it's defences that win trophies. Just look at what Chelsea did in the Champion's League this season, what Portugal did last Euros, and how Jose won all those cups... Defence.

We have the attacking talent to sneak a goal, but we need to condense the space at the back.

none of them would make sense as replacements for a defender or wingback, but in place of a holding mid....surely Mount is a better option than Phillips. And I think Rashford is a better choice than Saka in a front three.

Obviously not to play the attacker as a defender 😆

Playing 4x defenders and one DM is plenty, go two DM’s if you’re really afraid

          But 5x defenders AND 2x DM’s?

Ridiculous when you look at the talent he has, he gets such an easy time from the press for this

I can see him wanting to play two holding mids if the wingbacks are particularly attacking (James and Saka maybe) but Shaw and Tripper are not. They are pretty much standard fullbacks.

I notice no one is complaining about Mings being benched, which I think is really dumb. He's been a bright spot for England in my view. I'd much rather see him in the side than Walker.
